i requested non smoking room and it was really smells bad the whole time stayed and floor was dirty and also no trash cans and no tv remove and ac smells as well i asked help desk and cleaning people about the issues and nothing has been done

RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN!! Horrible experience! The hallway to our room smelled of weed and urine. Once we got into the room it was very dirty. It had been cleaned and turned over by house keeping but not well, dirt bunnies in the corners, hairs in the sink, etc. crawled into bed and found a pubic hair in the sheets. Called the front desk, no one answered. Once we woke up we were covered in bit marks!! My fear was confirmed, bed bugs!!! After waking up I checked the seam of the mattress, covered with blood spots and found 3 bugs crawling about… immediately left the property and will never return!

The property is in a fairly good area of East Long Beach, but i felt like we were in the ghetto. The back door was falling apart and you could only open it for 3 seconds so they make you use the front door which is a long haul from the rooms in the back. The first floor smelled like marijuana and we found a hyperdermic needle in the grass in the dog area. The front desk was not helpful, and a he/she person named Charlie had a poor attitude and was not at all helpful in person and on the phone. We will definitely NOT stay he re again, and hope they improve the property because it is unsafe, dangerous, dirty and the staff were terrible.

Common areas are dark and dirty.. My room had been smoked in and then some deodorizer dumped over it. The furniture is ancient and all beat up. Everywhere in the parking lot people were smoking weed. Charging $160 per night for a room like this is pretty gutsy....I would not go there again.

This was the first time I had ever stayed at an Extended Stay of America hotel, and I was also disappointed in the whole experience. As soon as we checked in, there were about 7 guests waiting to either check in or get some help form the front desk clerk. However, the front desk clerk did everything they could in a timely fashion with the limited resources. I noticed the front desk looked to be unorganized with an iPad sitting on a monitor riser to check in guests. I could see the laundry and mountain of dirty laundry being loaded into the wash just by standing at the front desk. Not a good look for first impressions. It took about 15 minutes to be checked in and finally went to the room. As soon as we entered the room, the little kitchenette cabinets were all wide open. The bathroom sink faucet handle was broken and looked to have green mold coming from it. the sink counter looked like it had even previously burnt by a curling iron or something and there was a hair on one of the hand towels. The hotel room did not look or smell clean. We ended up just dropping off our items and rushing out to head out for a wedding we were running late from. We originally intended to stay over, but felt it was unsanitary and did not feel safe, so we ended up going to another hotel for the night. Waste of money.

The hallways were dingy and smelled like stale cigarette smoke, despite it being a "non-smoking" place. The room in general was clean and bright - not bad at all. The bathroom had not been cleaned well though, as there were reddish pink smears on the doorframe (lipstick?) and spots on the floor, as well as a bloody fingerprint on the toilet seat! Luckily I had brought cleaning wipes, so I could take care of it, and after that things were fine.

Overall, not a great stay. At check in, the person helping me was rather dismissive, and barely said a word to me. After she activated the key cards, she handed them to me, then walked away without another word. Didn't point me to where my room was, no "have a nice stay," nothing. Once I got in the room, there were dirty stains on the fridge doors, chipped paint from the walls, random stains and scratches all over the place, spiderwebs on the shower ceiling. The worst part would be the roaches I saw in the bathroom throughout my stay. Every other time I opened the bathroom door, 1 or 2 would be either a few inches from the wall or on the edge of the bathtub. I managed to catch 3 and flush them, but I can only imagine how many must be behind my wall and inside the hotel at large. I was supposed to stay 4 nights, but I got fed up and left 1 night early. I only stayed as long as I did because I already paid for it and couldn't get refunded, it was nearby my gig for the weekend, and I knew I wouldn't be spending much time in the room. I'd say you're better off at some other hotel or Airbnb.

The moment we arrived they where dealing with someone in a room who was not registered but wouldn’t leave the room so the police had to be call and when we got our room we had to go back to the lobby to ask for a different room since the cleaning lady told us that that room would not be ready for another 30 minutes

Room wasn’t cleaned at all, soap was opened and used. Bed was unmade and looked like someone had been sleeping in it. Sheets were dirty. Lock on the hotel door was broken. Smelt like feet. When I asked for a room that was a bit cleaner and had basic safety they just gave me a new set of sheets. I didn’t even stay one night since I felt unsafe having no lock.

We chose this hotel because we were traveling to pick up a dog, and they allowed pets. we were given a room on the second floor, there was no shower curtain we asked twice for shower curtain, but never received one. Sheets and blankets had holes and tears in them. The most distressing, however, was waking up the last morning to find the kitchen and bathroom crying with cockroaches. Disgusting.

Get away from this place
The place is infested with critters. As I came into the room after checking in, the room had a horrible smell and when opening the fridge, small critters were running by the door. I spoke to the manager right away and she promised the refund for the reservation which I am still waiting to process by Expedia. I booked because of the brand of Extended stay America and got mislead. I went back to check the reviews and notice that two to three months ago there was also same complaints about smell and critters . I hope the manager reads this and process my refund as soon as possible.
