We stay at the L'Ermitage every time we come to LA. Each time it is fantastic, however, this last trip was such a huge let down. We decided to bring our family, and when we arrived, the room took over 2 hours to prepare even though they are known for preparing rooms at time of arrival. This was inconvenient, but understandable considering they were busy.
After waiting, we were taken to our rooms to be met with a smaller room than we had reserved, and our family's room was next to a room that was blasting music.
We requested to switch rooms and the front desk was kind and apologetic.
Once we got to our new room, things were fine, however, our family's new room had hair in the sinks, the bathtub, and candy wrappers on the dresser. Clearly the room had not been cleaned or inspected before moving us there. It was very unsettling to be moved into a dirty room.
Finally, our family was moved to a 3rd room, and even though there were fruit flies, they decided to stay because we were too tired at that point to move to a 4th room.
Between our group, we had to go through 5 rooms.
In addition to the rooms, we went downstairs for an iced coffee at the bar. After ordering and waiting for over 10 minutes, the server came back and forgot our order, so asked again what we would like. We had already waited over ten minutes so decided to just leave and go get coffee somewhere nearby.
This hotel is usually 10/10 and our favorite place to go, so I'm very disappointed.
