'Good place to stay, for quick trip to South Padre or Space x. Very affordable.'

'When we arrived, there were only upstairs rooms, and all of the hallway lights were out on our floor, creating a fall hazard. The desk person told us that the hall lights had been out for days, and that the management hadn't gotten around to fixing them. We had to use our phones to find our room number. Entering our room, the smell of bleach was dominant. The smoke detector had been ripped off the wall and was missing. The whole place just seemed dingy and uncared for. We will not be back again.'

'Excellent staff. Clean room. Convenient location'

'Real great value for money, better than any 4 star hotel in London UK, which will charge you triple the price. Great experience based on fast check-in, very nice room, great breakfast / lounge area, clean and friendly service. Will most definitely return.'

'We chose Rooms at the Pecan because of the reviews about cleanliness in the surrounding hotels. Clean is important to us. Room was very clean, dated but maintained, ac worked well. The location was perfect for our activities in the area. We knew it was a basic room with no mini fridge, microwave or coffee machine the issue we had was there was no tv access. Tv was in room but no clicker, went to desk was told the clicker was removed because tv doesn’t work. They apologized for the other employee...

'My room had a bad odor, there were ants in my room and the shower was not even close to lukewarm.'

'I confused this property with a newer property in Brownsville, and unfortunately this place is old and a total dump. We didn’t feel all that safe because run down. Will never stay here again.'

'Bad experience! Not modern! After being in the room for 2hrs i could not breathe because the mold and dust was very bad. I knew the motel was old but it was very very old. I booked for 2 days and left after 2 hours. They also refused to refund me after I claimed to have bad allergies and couldn't breathe in their room. Good luck!'

'Don't waste your money in this place, from the minute I called to confirm my reservation they wanted to know how many people were staying so they could charge me more. Got to the place and the room was super hot, no toilet paper, roo. Was dirty a d bugs on the floor and walls. The manager even wanted to go into my room to see how many ppl were inside so he could charge me extra. Idk if they have cameras in the rooms or what but it was a really sketchy place. I have feeling that they came inside...
