Absolutely unacceptable experience at WoodSpring Suites Clarksville.
I called ahead days in advance and spoke with management (Whitney, Assistant General Manager) to inform them I would be arriving late. I was clearly told that late check-in would not be an issue and that staff would be available.
I arrived shortly after 3:00 AM and was completely locked out of the building. I repeatedly used the after-hours phone (dialing 500 as instructed), but the line stayed busy and never connected. Expedia was also unable to reach the property.
After multiple failed attempts, I had to call the police. When they arrived, it took nearly 30 minutes to locate the night staff member, who admitted he had been asleep and could not explain why the phone system was not working.
As a result, my paid room was given away and the hotel was sold out. I was left in the middle of the night with my 16-year-old daughter and no place to stay, just hours before her scheduled volleyball game at the Kentucky International Convention Center.
To make matters worse, the property is now refusing to refund the stay and providing inaccurate information about my arrival time.
This was not a missed reservation—this was a complete failure of staff and management. Guests should not have to involve police just to access a hotel they paid for.
I strongly advise others to avoid this location if you expect reliable service, especially for late arrivals.
