Our first trip to Maine led us to the Center Lovell Inn and we were so pleased that this is where we spent five totally relaxing days. We stayed in the cottage adjoining the Inn with a private bathroom, Everything was very clean, small refrig in the room, and comfortable bed and pillows. Rose is a wonderful host and we enjoyed visiting with her during our stay. Her breakfasts were wonderful, colorful and delicious. It was a pleasure to go to the dining room each morning to see and taste what she had prepared. We especially enjoyed the banana pancakes topped with fresh, local strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries. An omelet with fried potatoes, sausage that had a maple flavor, and fresh fruit was wonderful. Five days there and five wonderful breakfasts. A hiking trail is close by that gives a wonderful view of the New Hampshire mountains. We stopped at the local historical museum down the road which was a gem and gave us much appreciation of those who settled the area. The antique store across the street was open on the weekends and very reasonable. We enjoyed traveling the roads and the beautiful scenery of woods, lakes and mountains. We also drove about 75 minutes into Portland for a day of sightseeing. I would love to come back and enjoy the peace and quiet of this natural setting again. We really appreciated the hospitality that Rose demonstrated. It was like we were staying in someone's home and we were!!
