We had a great weekend here. We enjoyed the spacious apartment and loved the coffee and treats left behind. The hosts were very responsive and helpful. Great location. We definitely needed to have an AWD vehicle at the time due to snow melt and muddy roads! Great stay…thank you!

Quiet spot
We stayed here during a ski trip to Jay Peak, it’s only a 20min drive to the mountain. Very secluded and quiet, a perfect spot to relax after a day at the hill. The hosts are very communicative and the apartment has all the amenities you will need for a great stay.

Difficult to review this property as the listing is mostly at fault. Let's start with the positives: Property was clean, in good condition, and the area was fantastic. Plentiful nature and stars, and the air was clean. The hosts were friendly and getting there was easy. Now onto the negatives: Firstly, the "Entire Apartment" is easily misinterpreted. I certainly thought we were getting the whole property to ourselves. This is NOT the case. You get the downstairs and the hosts live upstairs. Nowhere in the listing does it say this, and so it was rather shocking. Next, they have dogs, whom barked for nearly an hours upon our arrival. They are upstairs, so you hear the dogs and people walking and moving about. The property is NOT soundproofed. We heard action movies being played upstairs at night, as well as all the movement. This was rather upsetting as we expected a quiet stay. Because the property is shared, we also couldn't close the upstairs lights at night so you have to walk a bit away from the property to enjoy the stars. My last negative is the toilet, which was rather small and a little low to the ground. I'm rather tall so it was difficult to sit on it. The water pressure for the shower was low but that could be due to the area so I can't fault them for it. My advice to owners: Change listing to include mention of shared house, I would say "Downstairs apartment". Install a bit of soundproofing and a new larger toilet and this would be a 5/5.

We had a great time. Stayed for 5 weeks. Clean property, very bright and sunny. It was about 15-20 minutes from Jay peak so it works very well for a ski vacation. Friendly family upstairs.

Wonderful and Relaxing
We can't say enough about how wonderful our stay was. Angel and Alex were amazing hosts, always ready to answer questions and went above and beyond to make the visit special. The place was in the perfect serene location and spotlessly clean with wonderful amenities. We felt wonderfully spoiled and if we are ever in that area will definitely go back!

We enjoyed staying at this little retreat. I am from a city and love the tranquil greenness of Vermont. And this little gem is worth it as it has so much more space than I am used to. Thank you so much for keeping this listed each year as we will come visit again next year.

The downstairs unit is clean and comfortable with everything needed for our family of five. Well equipped kitchen and outdoor grilling area, wi-fi and washer dryer all made this a better choice than an area hotel. 25 minute drive to Jay Peak. Cookies and treats left by hosts were added bonus.

Very accommodating, clean and helpful
Very comfortable. Nice and clean. Manager was prompt to reply to any of my inquiries.. Had a coffee machine set up which is absolutely crucial! And they had coffee there for us. Very nice touch to have some little gifts there for our stay also. Beds were also comfortable.

Perfect for our ski weekend!
The customer service was wonderful and our stay was perfect! We skied Jay Peak, came back to relax and cook some delicious dinners. The home was spacious and just what we needed. Will definitely be back!

Worked great for our bike trip.
The property was clean and comfortable. Worked well for two guys bicycling until mid-afternoon, then chilling until dinner. We were in the Northeast Kingdom to ride the area's pristine dirt roads.

Great to be ‘Home’
We were extremely pleased with our accommodations. It was very quiet and peaceful which was exactly what we were looking for. The gift basket was very much appreciated. We love maple syrup! The wine was an exceptional gift but we are not wine drinkers. The thought was very much appreciated. Thank goodness it was not raining because we made several trips over the Hazen Notch Rd to visit friends in St Albans, Franklin and Richford. We were very familiar with the area since we lived in Franklin for 30 years. Angel, the kids loved the cookies. That was so wonderful of you to bring down freshly made cookies. The only recommendation that we have would be railings on the first level of steps. That was a bit tricky for an older person. Actually, I fell going up the steps. Fortunately. I was not hurt except for a few bruises. Again, we thoroughly enjoyed staying at your rental home. Martha, Deb, Jonathan, and Whitney

Great 3 Day Stay for Jay Peak Ski Trip!
We had a great time at the Relaxation Retreat. Everything was tidy and clean and well thought out. Alex (owner) was very prompt to communicate when I had questions and overall we really enjoyed our stay. I do think a bunk bed would help facilitate larger groups staying there (or make it easier with kids) Having just 2 beds total was a bit tough but we made it work. Great location and great value for proximity to Jay Peak!

The perfect little apartment for our group hitting Jay Peak (about a 15 minute drive) for the holiday weekend. I’m giving a 5 star rating even though the water had a slight rotten egg smell because that had been noted in previous reviews but everything else was awesome. Thank you!

Spotted a Moose
Had a great time. This is my 2nd stay here, would absolutely stay again. On Saturday we had a treat, there was a moose taking a walk through the woods. Maybe you may see a moose on your stay.

Alex replied immediately each time that I emailed him. Super clean apartment. Comfortable beds. Rooms large enough to move around and be comfortable. The bathroom also was large with a walk in shower. We drove up in a major snow storm and we arrived in the evening. It was a pleasure to be able to see the view before we left. Jay Peak is at least 25 minutes away but well worth the drive.

I would like to start off saying I would have given 5 stars but only for a couple of things that need to be fixed and communicated on the description of the property. The following needs to be fixed through our eyes. 1.) The smell of the water either hot and cold. Very strong ( very bad egg smell ). Easy fix with some type of water filtration system. Ice maker not working so ice cubes were made with this water. Coffee maker, washing machine etc. had smell bad water smell also. 2.) This home is on a dirt road leading to a dirt driveway. Very, very bad erosion! If you don't have 4 wheel drive don't bother renting. Not sure how it is the rest of the year ( with the rain ) ? We stayed here March 14th-17th. 3.) Kitchen cabinets have to be fixed ( at least 4 to 5 broken fronts ). On to the nice part of the stay! Great views, very clean, warm & cozy! Owner provided red and white wine, 2 energy drinks, and a bottle of pure maple syrup! A very classy surprise! Never met the owners but I met a man with a mope w/ bucket Sunday morning going into their home. If this was one of the owners I would have liked him to introduce himself to us! Owner did text me to see if I needed a ride because of all the mud and dirt on Sat. Very thoughtful of them.

Thank you for your stay. We did notice and wanted to point out that the huge bottles of Shampoo and Body Wash that are provided for all guest to share if they choose were missing upon your departure along with the throw blanket that goes with the bedding set on the King bed. (Would you happen to know where they are, as they were not found in the apartment). We would like to just address a couple of your concerns. We are currently working with the water filtration as we put in a Well last fall and the water is still safe for usage. As for the ice, we provide and make sure the ice trays in the freezer are full and never stated in the listing that there was a ice maker. To address the second issue on the driveway, in Vermont we have an extra season called mud season (out of our control) but we offered to arrange transportation and one of our personal vehicles to go up and down the driveway Instead of taking your personal vehicle (which you declined). As for the kitchen Cabinets we didn’t realize that they were broke, they are old and probably just need some new wood glue (this will be fixed).

Overall the apartment was nice and clean. Kitchen cabinets could use a little work. It would have been nice to have the password for the wifi on the welcome note. There is no cell service in this area. I would definitely stay here again.

This property has it all!
This property has it all with an open airy floor plan, ceramic tile and hardwood floors, LOTS of windows to soak up the gorgeous view of the great outdoors, all the amenities that you could want. Spacious, clean and comfortable! Your location was fantastic for our ski trip to Jay Peak. Thanks for the great stay at your beautiful home.... We truly felt special.
