Hotel in de winkelstraat van Lugano! Hotel ligt op een minuut lopen van boulevard van meer van Lugano. Kamer klein maar schoon,ok.Ontbijt viel mij wat tegen,te eenvoudig,koffie was wel heerlijk.

Für den Preis habe ich nicht viel erwartet. Die Wände waren aber so dünn, dass mal alles von aussen höre. Wir hatten das Zimmer gleich nebem dem Frühstück, somit war es am Morgen sehr laut.

Good location. A very small room. No view (a wall). No ac, but the fan was ok. Noice from the street on Saturday night. On Sunday morning at 8 and 10 worships in the church, you could hear it clearly into the room. No place other than expensive restaurants to buy snacks/food on a Sunday.

Excellent séjour à Lugano. Hôtel magnifiquement bien situé et sympathique. Dans le centre, près du Lac, au milieu des restos. Loin du quartier Paradiso qui est le dortoir de la ville. Mais les suisses pratiquent des prix « indécents « . San Carlo échappe un peu à cette critique mais j’éviterai la Suisse chaque fois que possible.

All the furniture and overall condition of the facility is below average. There is no Air conditioner in the rooms. Lugano is generally quite warm during summer months, the two nights we stayed at the facility were miserable. Breakfast is below average and no available at the time that was told to us. They were setting up breakfast 30 minutes after the time we were told breakfast will be ready. Overall avoid this place if you can.

Very central and easy to go anywhere. The staff is nice. However, the room is so very hot. The two fans were not sufficient to keep the room cool. The room temperature remained over 80 degree throughout the night. The room amenities were very minimal, only one hot water kettle and nothing else. In this super hot day and night, we could not even keep some cold drinks around,

Idéalement situé pour le Summer Jamboree on the Lake. Juste à côté du centre et du lac. Le personnel est très sympathique. L'hôtel est propre, correct et surtout d'un bon rapport-qualité-prix. C'est dans le centre donc ça peut être bruyant le matin et surtout le dimanche avec les cloches de l'église juste à côté. J'ai réservé une chambre sans WC mais avec douche. On n'a pas pu changer malheureusement parce que l'hôtel était plein, mais ça n'a pas été un grand problème au final. On n'y va pas pour le petit-déjeuner. C'est très basique.

Our room: Having to share a toilet room was not bad but this was NOT a hotel room - it was like a hostel room. For the price I was shocked. Tiny room - Bed crammed in one corner, sink and shower on one wall, a table and chair and tv Plus cabinet. No amenities like a blow dryer - I was glad they had soap. No AC (they did have an overhead fan) which was okay but the noise from the city could be heard at night. Would not recommend for this price.

To have full private services, it would have been enough to book a Standard Double.The same goes for the Air Conditioning, in fact nowhere is it mentioned as one of the services made available by the Hotel.Having made these due clarifications, we apologize again for the inconvenience encountered and, at the same time, we take the opportunity to wish you a wonderful evening.Best regards,Team Hotel San Carlo

Hôtel très bien situé dans le coeur de Lugano. Tout était Ok. Accueil sympathique. Parking à proximité avec un tarif intéressant proposé par l'hôtel + carte gratuite pour transport en commun et visites de sites. Je recommande cet hôtel sans problème.

Terrible property, dirty, uncomfortable beds, very hard pillows and not accessible even though we called ahead of time to request an accessible room. They did not even have a shower chair. We were given a dining chair for the shower! Terrible customer service too.

Dear Paul,thank you for taking the time to leave us your review.However, we find your judgment a bit unfair as no one has ever confirmed to you that we have disabled rooms with chairs in the shower.My colleague even sent you an e-mail after your arrival apologising for this misunderstanding and informing you of the correspondence with the hotel.We then made ourselves available in case you needed anything else so we don't understand why you would call our customer service terrible.We do our best and are very dedicated to ensuring that our guests have a pleasant stay, knowing that we are a simple, family-owned hotel.We also consider criticism very important, but when it is constructive.In this case we feel that there has been a bit of harassment towards us and we find this a bit unfair.We suggest that, next time, you agree on all your needs before arriving at the hotel as we are sure that the reception will give you all the assistance you need or tell you clearly whether or not they can accommodate you.We are very sorry for this inconvenience and that you did not have a good stay.We send you our best regards,

Liebe Britta,Guten Morgen aus Lugano und vom Personal des Hotel San Carlo.Es tut uns unendlich leid, dass Sie Ihren Aufenthalt in unserem Hotel so schlecht empfanden.Einige unserer Doppelzimmer haben Toiletten wie die, die Sie gefunden haben.Allerdings scheint mir die Definition unseres Hotels als einfaches Gästehaus ehrlich gesagt übertrieben und ein wenig deplatziert, insbesondere wenn wir die Verfügbarkeit und Professionalität unseres Personals sowie die Reinigungsstandards berücksichtigen, die absolut nicht zu vermieten sind. Wir respektieren Ihre Sichtweise und wünschen Ihnen für Ihre Zukunft alles Gute.
