Riverfront Cottage Rental is gelegen op de South Fork van de rivier de Shenandoah. Onze onlangs gerenoveerde cottage is gunstig gelegen in het midden van een aantal populaire attracties die zijn: Luray Caverns, Skyline Caverns, Luray Caverns Country Club, Cooter's Place, Luray Zoo, Endless Caverns, Shenvalee Golf Resort en de New Market Battlefield.
Geniet van het beste van beide werelden in ons onlangs gerenoveerde huisje met geweldig uitzicht op de rivier en de bergen en geweldige voorzieningen. Vanaf het moment dat u naar binnen stapt, zult u blij zijn met de indeling, het geweldige uitzicht en de aandacht voor detail. De woonkamer biedt een grote flatscreen-tv, een open haard en uitzicht op de rivier vanuit elk raam. Geniet van de goed gevulde keuken voor al uw maaltijden. De slaapkamer heeft een queen size bed met een aan de muur gemonteerde tv en een mooi ontspannen uitzicht op de rivier !! De tweede slaapkamer heeft een queen size bed met een andere aan de muur gemonteerde flatscreen-tv. Het huisje biedt een ligbad met douche. De afgeschermde patio biedt comfortabele zitplaatsen en uitzicht op de rivier. Buiten zijn er twee vuurkorven gelegen aan elke kant van het huisje met veel zitplaatsen, waaronder een hangmat om te genieten van de avond zonsondergang !! De voorzieningen in combinatie met het prachtige interieur zullen u zeker bevallen en zullen een plek worden waar u jaar na jaar naar terug wilt keren.
De Shenandoah River is geweldig om te varen en vissen op meerval, forel, baars en baars om er maar een paar te noemen. Met gemakkelijke toegang tot de rivier is het gebied over het algemeen perfect voor natuurliefhebbers, wandelaars en gewoon ideaal voor gezinnen die op zoek zijn naar het ervaren en creëren van cottage-herinneringen in deze rustige, ontspannen en natuurlijke omgeving.

Weekend Getaway

The cottage was a good size and comfortable for me and my wife and two dogs. The water is very close and accessible and was clear as a mountain stream while we were there.Only addition could be a better entertainment system with WIFI.

Amazing little cottage by the river. So much wildlife and nature to explore. The screened in porch is the best and a huge advantage to this property. A bug free area to watch all the birds, boats, and river. Our pup really enjoyed the river and the pet friendly cottage. We saw lots of Great Heron, an Osprey, a Kingfisher, and lots of other smaller birds.

We had a wonderful stay at Life is Better at the Shenandoah River at Our Cozy Riverfront! The riverfront access was a dream—perfect for relaxing, fishing, and letting our water-loving dogs play. The screened-in porch quickly became our favorite hangout spot, offering peaceful views and bug-free evenings. The yard was well-maintained with short grass, which made it easy to enjoy the outdoors with our 6-month-old, grandma, and two pups. The home was cozy and pet-friendly, making it ideal for our little family. The only small downside was the grill—it could use an upgrade—but that didn’t take away from the overall great experience. We’d absolutely stay here again!

Lovely vacation on the river

This is a perfect place for a family or a few friends to spend relaxing days outdoors. This property is close to everything—Shenandoah National Park, Luray caverns, and tons of great wineries (Castle Vinyards is highly recommended!)The house is decorated nicely and there are a few sitting areas for socializing. The kitchen was outfitted with everything I needed. The bedrooms are cozy with comfortable mattresses. The tile floors throughout are perfect for keeping everything clean. Outside there are a couple places to enjoy a fire and cook up some s’mores. And though the riverfront beach is not ideal for fishing, I still caught a few small bass with a small spinner around dusk. My favorite activity, though, is just relaxing on the screened-in porch and enjoying the view of the river. You just can’t beat that. I will definitely book this cabin again, it has something for everyone.

Max relaxation on the river

This is a lovely property right on the water. It was perfect for our 4 person family and dog. We loved relaxing on the screened in porch and exploring the river banks. The zero entry river bank was perfect for our water loving dog to explore. We even took our paddle boards up river to check out the small islands, turtles, and birds. It was a great location in regards to the national park entrance and downtown Luray. Just buckle up for the bumpy dirt road drive in! Spotty cellphone service kept us off our phones and enjoying the moment; just make sure to do your Google searching for attractions before you get to the property.

Great Location

Clean and organized cottage, everything you need for a pleasant stay. Just be aware no wifi and no cell phone reception inside the house and poor reception outside (Verizon). There is a couple of miles to drive on unpaved and at time rough terrain but we did not have problems with our minivan.Great location right in front of the river. Host was prompt in communicating with us. Better get there for the first time with day light because at night is very dark and difficult to find the cottage. We will book again.

Quiet Comfort

Cabin was as listed with plenty of towels and little touches. Cooking pans were on the better side, which is unusual for a rental. Screened porch gives guests a chance to enjoy the serene atmosphere without the issue of nature's little biting critters. Bed was comfortable and after figuring out where the heat source was, it kept us very comfortable. Plenty of space for the two of us.

River Relaxation

We really enjoyed our long weekend stay over July 4th at this lovely waterfront cottage. The screened porch was the perfect spot for morning coffee or an evening night cap and the kitchen was well equipped to cook in. Fyi, no wifi and our Verizon cell service was essentially non existent, so come prepared to be offline until you head in to town.

Amazing spot!

What an amazing spot on the river! This place was so amazing with absolutely beautiful view of the river, my city wife was so awestruck by this place she immediately started searching for a place for sale in the general area. I got a very strong feeling we’ll be doing another stay at this awesome place later this year.

New Years Weekend Getaway

Check-in was a breeze. The heat was on when we got there, fresh towels, linen, and a fully equipped kitchen. We had everything we needed to cook. We enjoyed using the outdoor charcoal grill for our New Years Eve feast. Our dog loved sniffing around and going down to the river. I wish it would have been warm enough to sit on the screened in porch, it was lovely! Very cozy, we will be back to enjoy it in the warmer months!

Lovely cabin!

We arrived after dark and did miss the sign so we found it on the way back. It just added to our adventure! The place was very clean and and the heat was on and waiting for us! The view from the porch is to die for, the sound of the gentle flowing river was perfect for our girls getaway. We had hoped for WiFi since there’s zero cell signal, just to check in with our kids back home. That’s the only thing I might suggest. The break from phones ringing was welcome though. We had a great time, went hiking at Little Devils Stairs and highly recommend! I will be renting this place again!
