Oak Tree hut in de buurt van de Shenandoah-rivier

Oak Tree Cabin is een gloednieuwe speciaal gebouwde vakantiewoning die net is geopend in maart 2020. Het is in de buurt van onze Eagle's Nest-, Tree Top- en Eaglet-hutten en ligt, net als zij, bij de rivier, hoog boven de rivier zittend met een gebied om naar de rand van de rivier te lopen. Het maakt deel uit van een 18 hectare grote "fish trap" -locatie die honderden jaren geleden werd gebruikt door oude Amerikaanse Indianen.

Oak Tree is een gezellige hut met een modern mooi exterieur en interieur. Hardhouten vloeren, roestvrijstalen apparaten, flatscreen-tv's - alles is nieuw, luxueus en wacht op uw persoonlijk genot. De foto's leggen een deel van de schoonheid, modern design, natuur en open ruimtes vast. Bekijk die eens en drink het allemaal op!

Qua grootte is Oak Tree bedoeld voor alleenstaande gezinnen of twee stellen voor maximaal 4 personen. Er is een slaapkamer en een extra slaapbank, beide zijn queen size. Een badkamer voor het huis en een volledige wasruimte.

Je zult je tijd hier geweldig vinden. Terwijl we werken aan het verbeteren, uitbreiden en laten groeien van dit pand, zetten we onze missie voort om uw favoriete riviercabine voor het weekend te zijn. Boek nu voordat uw data weg zijn!

LET OP: de optionele brandhouttoeslag van $ 10 / nacht is voor brandhout voor de vuurplaats buiten. (De binnenhaard bij deze accommodatie is gas.) Als u denkt dat u het brandhout niet gaat gebruiken of zelf wilt meenemen, laat het ons dan weten! Dat storten wij u graag terug.

We stayed between December 26-30. It was fabulous! We had our 9th month old and our dog. They had a Christmas tree!! Our baby loved it. The dog simply laid by the tree looking out the window and sleeping. The fire pit was great. Everything was quiet. The home was clean and my husband was actually quite pleased with the cookware. Highly recommend. It was so nice to get away and do absolutely nothing!!!

Great weekend getaway

Fantastic little spot for a peaceful weekend getaway. When we arrived the cabin was clean, and easy to access. The cabin had all the basic cooking ammenities we needed. Was close enough to sky line drive and the town of Luray if we need to get anything. If your looking for a quiet and peaceful mountain getaway weekend, this is the spot!

Lovely stay at Oak Tree cabin

Really enjoyed our stay at the cabin! Cozy, warm and clean. Everything you will need to enjoy your time in Shenandoah valley and the mountains. Short drive to Shenandoah national park and Luray Caverns. The sound of the river and sunrise over the mountains in the morning can't be beat. I appreciated the stocked firewood for the cabin, super convenient.

Overall the rental was very pleasant. Clean, good directions, cozy for two person stay. Thought it was closer to the water but still could within walking distance. The issue I have seen in other reviews with the biofilm in the hot tub can be corrected with “SpaPerfect” a treatment will help with that as will changing the filter regularly. Other than that it was a good stay. V/r TR Girganus

Amazing birthday retreat!

My fiancé and I spent my birthday weekend in Oak Tree. We had such a relaxing time in this quaint little cabin. It was perfect for everything we needed! All the necessities needed for cooking/cleaning up were found in the kitchen or laundry room. The round staircase really pulled me in! This cabin is not too far away from anywhere you might want to explore or if you need to make a run to the store. Even though it’s not far, you still feel so secluded. We hope to come back next fall once the foliage starts to change more. Thank you Laura and Kevin for having such an amazing little cabin to escape to!

Scenic and relaxing cabin

From the booking experience to the check-out, communications were timely and thorough. The cabin was clean and well appointed…great accommodations! We booked the cabin with the hot tub in mind, so it was a little disappointing to see that it was older and not quite as clean as expected. The couch in the living room was quite worn. Finally, although the strong smell of sulphur may be an obvious consequence of a septic system, we were unprepared for just how strong the smell would be. Overall, great experience and great owners.

My stay at the Oak Tree rental cabin was nothing short of magical! Nestled in a picturesque setting, this charming cabin offers the perfect escape from everyday life. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by its cozy atmosphere and rustic charm, complete with wooden beams, a loft bedroom, and a little fireplace. I was delighted to find s'mores supplies waiting for me, adding an extra touch of fun to our evenings. One of my favorite experiences was stargazing from the hot tub, surrounded by nature. Making a fire in the fire pit was another highlight! The fully equipped kitchen made it easy to prepare meals, and the dining area offered stunning views through the large windows. If you’re looking for a tranquil getaway in a cozy setting, I can’t recommend the Oak Tree cabin enough. It’s the perfect blend of comfort, beauty, and nature. I can’t wait to return!

The poperty was very clean and cozy, however the water had a horrible sulfur smell. It was so strong that we purchased drinking water and you could smell it just by turning the sink on. The river was not visible from the porch, the short walk to the river was down a steep pathway. The river was not accessible as described as there was no access point, unless you count reeds and high grass. The property was very clean and cozy, just wish the water smell would of been better.

Great getaway!

My husband & I (and our dog) visited Oak Tree last weekend. After a very rough 6 months (death in the family) we wanted to get away for a quiet, relaxing weekend with no distractions. That’s exactly what Oak Tree gave us. The cabin was perfect and had everything we needed. We took walks down to the lake, soaked in the hot tub and looked at the stars, took a drive through Shenandoah State Park to look at the overlooks & just enjoyed each other’s company. We never even used the fire pit, even though we had all intentions to do so. There is a small town that has anything you need, although we brought food with us from home and made meals. The kitchen served every purpose we were looking for in that regard. All in all it was exactly what we were looking for. We’ll definitely go back!

Great trip!

I loved the cabin and it was a great trip! The property was amazing and the house manager was excellent with communication. My only issues were that there should have been detailed instructions for using the grill and the bugs made sleeping in the bed impossible. There were so many bugs that came in and were attracted to the bedroom light and they eventually died leaving about 60 dead flys and bugs on the bed by the time we were ready to sleep in it. We ended up using the sofa bed which was perfectly fine. I think it’s easy to get rid of the bugs indoors but there just wasn’t a mechanism to do so during our stay. The house and lake are beautiful though and we enjoyed our trip overall!

Nasty Hot Tub

For the daily price you pay, everything should work properly and clean. The hot tub water level was about 6in low. The water had a greenish color to it. There were a lot of calcium flakes floating around, and the filter itself was yellow. The shower curtain had that pink grimy buildup on the bottom, and the corners of the shower had the same pink grime built up in between the cracks. Please know that the water is on a septic system, so it will smell like eggs when you run any water in the house. The smart TV was VERY slow while navigating the apps (not sure if this was the internet or the TV itself). The location is great, albeit there is construction on new properties. Thankfully we were there for a holiday wkend, so we didn’t hear the noise/they were not working. The fire-pit was the best part. We ended up leaving a day early. I would not recommend using Shenandoah Rental properties.

The Perfect Experience, Yes Really

From the time we booked until the moment we checked out, this was an experience that was top tier. The cabin was beautiful and immaculately clean. Everything was comfortable and there were excellent touches throughout the house, including a diary from precious guests that confirmed what we anticipated: Oak Tree would be a place to remember and for all the right reasons. We loved it so much, my husband and I, that we got engaged here and are planning to make it an annual return. The property manager was a doll too.

Great Getaway

It was a very cozy cabin with a great view of the river. There is another cabin close by that isn’t visible in the photos which did ruin a little of the privacy factor for us. The inside was very clean and inviting. The hot tub was great, but seemed a bit dirty which was also noted by other guests in their guestbook. We enjoyed ourselves, and really loved exploring the all the local spots around Luray.
