If you are traveling to Lutsen for winter or summer activities this should be your place to stay. Fits a family of 4-6 perfectly. The owners are a joy to work with and the location is wonderful.

Stylish Upscale Retreat on the North Shore
My family of four and I had a wonderful break staying at the Lutsen Log Lodge. The home is large enough for a large family or a family with some friends along. The neighborhood is quiet with walking trails nearby and a short drive from great skiing at Lutsen Mountains. The property is immaculate yet still cozy and comfortable. We particularly enjoyed the gas fireplace, jacuzzi tub, and capable kitchen. Our hosts maintained contact before and at the start of our stay. We would certainly stay here again when visiting the North Shore.

Perfect stay
Everything about this place exceeded our expectations. You won’t find a cleaner or more comfortable cabin. The owner’s attention to detail is easy to see. We celebrated a family Christmas and it was picturesque, including a beautiful light snowfall followed by sparkling views of Lake Superior.

There were 5 of us and we had a great time! Accommodations were fabulous and cozy on the chilly fall days. We were able to see wonderful north shore sites within driving and walking distance. Just what we needed to “catch-up” and relax. Definitely recommend.

3 night getaway
We immediately felt welcomed the minute we walked in. Great hosting touches including a bottle of wine from the nearby North Shore winery to frosted beer mugs in the freezer. The kitchen was well stocked with many everyday items you need. Comfortable beds and a very clean home. The fire pit out back was awesome. Thanks for all the extra touches.

Wonderful
First visit ever to this part of the country and we were amazed at how beautiful it is. Cabin was perfect and we appreciated a few spices and plastic wrap, etc. The bed was super comfortable which was a big deal after hiking all day. Peaceful porch to have coffee or a glass of wine/ beer. We would have stayed longer and we’d return again. (The Northern Lights -checked off a bucket list item within 10 minutes of the cabin). Thanks for a peaceful, fabulous vacation.

Fabulous getaway
Return visit to this wonderful property. Already dreaming about visit #3. You simply cannot ask for better hosts or location. So much to do within 2 hours drive. Hike, bike, sail, shop and dine, or just enjoy the peacefulness of being "up north."

Absolutely Amazing Time
This was the second time we (4 adults and 2 kids) have stayed at Diana's cabin, and it was just as good as the first time. Check in was a breeze and communication with Diana was prompt and professional. The cabin was well stocked with everything we needed from plenty of pots/pans in the kitchen to a lot of towels in both bathrooms. Diana added extra treats like pure maple syrup, pancake mix, chocolate bars and a very good bottle of wine from the North Shore Winery just up the road. All beds were comfortable and everyone had plenty of space in the cabin. If they didn't, they could go out on the deck or in the screen porch which many games of Yahtzee took place. Thank you again Diana. We had an amazing time!!

Cozy Cabin includes everything you need
This cabin has it all. Location, well stocked, fire pit, lots of games, comfy beds, nice towels... I could go on and on. My only caution is the beautiful upstairs bed. It's wooden posts love to hit your knees. We propped up a couple pillows to protect us. Diana was kind and quick in her replies to our questions. We're hoping to be back soon. Thanks!

Great stay
We loved this house. Well situated to hiking, the lake, Grand Marais. It was very clean, well stocked and had comfortable furniture. It was quiet and had beautiful woods around. We really enjoyed the Lutsen Winery right next door. Definitely would stay here again.

Best North Shore stay yet
We’ve spent a lot of time on the north shore over the years and this was the nicest and best stay yet. Really spacious and comfortable and was a perfect home base for my husband and my’s wedding week. You also can’t beat the location in Lutsen. There is only one double bed and the rest are singles, so this would limit the kind of party if it was a larger group. Overall would recommend.

This place was perfect for 4, 60+ golfers. Very close to Superior National, photos were extremely accurate and accommodations were top notch. If they owned another VRBO close to next summer's trip, we would stay there for sure.

The best!
This is the 2nd year in a row we've stayed here. You can't find one single tiny thing wrong at this place. The cabin is stocked so well that the owners have thought of everything. Screen porch on the back is a great place to hang out for some fresh air, drinks and avoiding the mosquitos! We cooked all of our dinners in the cabin. Every pot, pan, utensil, glasses are all there. Thanks for a great stay!

Terrific lodge
The lodge was exactly as described and just what we needed. The home was well furnished and everything was in great condition. The location was central to all of the places we wanted to hike. Our group of 6 would certainly recommend this home to others.

Fun in the snow!
The property is just down the hill from the Lutsen Mountain Ski resort. Upon arrival the driveway and the deck were already plowed and shoveled. The property was very clean and had plenty of cleaning supplies, basic spices, paper and plastic products. As we cooked all of our meals at the cabin this was greatly appreciated to have basic spices, alum foil and plastic bags. The only recommendation that I have is to include a couple of cookie sheets in the kitchen as there was only a broiler pan. Looking forward to seeing you next year!

Autumn Colors & Hiking
What a clean, well-stocked, perfectly sized and advantageously located was this `Lutsen Lodge' for the four of us! We prepared and ate all meals at the cabin -- easy to do so with all necessary equipment present and the abundant supply of utensils on hand. The three bedroom, two baths (perfect amount for our group) were comfortable and had all the needed supplies. The cabin-length deck with a screened portion was a valued `bonus', and we especially enjoyed the beautiful potted geraniums. The lodge location was great for us to be able to take advantage of hiking choices, the gondola ride at Lutsen, nearness to Lake Superior/MN State Parks and the winery. Thank you!

Great house & location
My husband and I along with our 3 grandkids stayed here and had a wonderful time. The house was in a perfect location to visit the state parks, Grand Marais, and Sawbill where my brother and his wife were camping. The house, inside and outside, was great. You could tell the host had thought of everything. The house was very clean and the layout worked perfect. The beds were all comfortable, plenty of towels and the kitchen was very well stocked. There was even a bottle of wine waiting for us and was very much appreciated after driving, hiking and having chocolate ice cream spill all over the back seat. We had campfires in the back yard (wood was provided), played outside games and the kids had fun playing in the sandbox. On Sunday we walked up to the winery for Sunday Wine Down and the granddaughters had fun dancing to the live music. The host, Diana, was responsive and extremely hospitable. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you again Diana...we have many great memories.

We arrived to find the cabin very clean and well stocked. All the basics for cooking, plenty of clean towels and linens and plenty of firewood for the campfire. Even a spare propane tank for the grill which we did end up having to use. Highly recommend this property.

I rented this property for a weekend away with some of my best girlfriends. The house was immaculately clean and had everything we needed: extra blankets, fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, space, etc. Diana was quick to respond to my questions and was extremely easy to work with. This cabin fit all of our needs. It was one of the better outfitted properties we’ve stayed in. I especially appreciated all the storage space… easy to tuck away, hang up, and dry ALL the wet ski gear. I also appreciate the double twin beds, allowing up to 4 kids without having to share a bed.

Perfect place up north!
Our stay at the cabin was perfect. We couldn't have asked for a more ideal place to spend our weekend skiing, both downhill and XC. The cabin was a great space, comfortable, clean, well-stocked. Beautiful views out towards Lake Superior. We hope to be back next year!

Awesome get away
We loved our 2 day get away stay. The trip was a ski get away and the location was perfect being so close to Lutsen mountain. The cabin was super super clean, the beds were comfy and EVERYTHING was perfect. The furnishings and decor were spot on perfect. Some of the things I noticed that were above and beyond. Plenty of pillows and pillow choices, extra soft blankets, TV blankets, plenty of nice towels, extra kitchen stuff ( tin foil, napkins, Saran Wrap, coffee, coffee filters, sugar, tea, shampoo and conditioner dispensers…so much more). I want to live in the cabin with everything exactly the way it is!!

Pre-Christmas family get-away
What an amazing property! The communication from day one was fabulous! Owners were very responsive and stopped by to shovel the drive right after fresh snow. The location of the cabin is perfect: close to ski hill, winery and town. Cabin is very “homey” and was perfect for the 5 of us- with lots of extra amenities. Lots of games available for evening fun- or just relax by the fire watching a movie. Abundant wildlife right outside the cabin. Watch the Beautiful sunrise/sunsets over the lake right from the cabin windows. Would highly recommend staying here and look forward to our return in the summer months.

Perfect for a weekend getaway
The property is a cute log cabin, extremely clean, and very well equipped. It was perfect for a weekend getaway, and was in a great location. Has nice views of Lake Superior off in the distance. This place is perfect if you are looking for something close to Lutsen Ski Mountain.

Fantastic Property
What a fantastic property this was. Clean, fully stocked and close to so many state parks, attractions, restaurants etc. This is a must stay! And we look forward to our next stay there.
