Zeer goed hotel
Grote mooie kamer met idem grote en zeer comfortabele bedden. Uitzicht vanuit de bar op de 8e verdieping is heel mooi op het centrum van de hoofdstad Luxemburg gericht. De prijs viel me mee, misschien omdat ik in het weekend had geboekt.

Uitstekend hotel, duur ontbijt
Perfect hotel op een perfecte lokatie. Het centrum ligt op 5 minuten loopafstand. Ontbijt is geweldig op de 8e verdieping van het hotel, met een prachtig uitzicht op de stad. Het ontbijt en parkeren waren wel wat aan de dure kant, verder geen negatieve dingen te melden.

Prima hotel vlakbij centrum Luxemburg
Prima hotel in mooie stad. Vanuit het restaurant een prachtig uitzicht over de stad. De kamer was prettig, goeie bedden. Een gebruiksaanwijzing voor de airco en het koffiezetapparaat was wel handig geweest. Vriendelijk personeel.

Top Hotel in zeer fraaie stad
Helemaal TOP! Alleen..... en dat was voor ons onbegrijpelijk...... Je gaat op de 8ste etage heerlijk eten. Helemaal af,....mag wat kosten,en dat zit er in de - door een hardglazen wand nauwelijks op geluid gescheiden - bar een mafketel van een DJ keiharde housemuziek te draaien voor zegge en schrijve 5 barklanten. Geen enkele afwisseling. In zo'n tophotel echt geheel onbegrijpelijk! Het personeel van het restaurant wist te vertellen, dat dit talent elke woensdag en vrijdag draait. Dan dus niet daar gaan eten! Behalve als je erg verknocht bent aan house....Voor de rest een gewldig Hotel.

This is a very modern and luxury hotel. The service was very good and fast and the room was very comfortable. It was 5 minutes walking to the city center. It was in a very beautiful location. We just did not had breakfast there because it was very expensive.

Zoals een 5 sterren hotel behoord te zijn
Het hotel maakt de belofte van 5 sterren waar. De kamers zijn netjes en aan alle gemakken wordt gedacht. Alleen jammer van het restaurant op de 8e verdieping. Niet bijzonder genoeg voor dit type hotel, het eten was ok maar paste niet bij de rest van het verblijf en de service.

My wife and I loved our 4 night stay at the Sofitel Grand Ducal. The location of the hotel is almost directly in between uptown and downtown. A brilliant central location. The reception staff were really excellent. Very friendly, very helpful and always smiling!! A bit shout out to Kevin Kayir who stood out as one of the best receptionists I ever came across.... In fact all the staff at this hotel are brilliant, personable, friendly and professional. We received a free upgrade to a beautiful valley view and the included breakfast was great! Lovely fresh juices, a good assortment of breads, cheese, salmon, eggs etc etc and we never left the breakfast room hungry :) The restaurant menu was not really to our taste and the bar food was fairly limited so we tended to eat out for lunch and dinner, with lots of great restaurants within easy walking distance. The bedrooms were fabulous. My only comment would be the desk was a little 'tired' and storage space for clothes was lacking. I suggest moving the coffee machines to the desk area which I would replace with a dressing table integrated with drawers. Bathroom and shower were modern, clean with high quality Balmain soaps etc and the toilet was separate which was also nice. This was our first trip to Luxembourg and we would not hesitate to stay here again in the future. Highly recommend...

The hotel is a reasonably modern hotel that is a short walk from the city centre and easy to get to by bus from the airport which made it very convenient to stay. We had a room with a city view which was really nice as you look out onto the old town.

When I arrived, the hotel upgraded me to a city view, I think in part due to my flight being cancelled and getting there about 7 hours later than expected. Really superb room and very clean. Bar on 8th floor was lovely, went there every night. Restaurant on 8th floor used for breakfast, and that was really good too. Good selection of continental things, and some eggs and sausages too but I had plenty with the breads, pastries, Yoghurt etc. Great hotel, service top notch and loved my room. Would definitely recommend and return.

Top class hotel just outside centre of city but close enough to walk to most sights. Nice check in member of staff who showed me how to get to the sight i had booked for. Was given a bowl of fruit when i had got to my room. Restaurant and bar staff were friendly. Room was very spacious with comfortable bed , large tv screen and complimentary soft drinks in the mini bar. Lots of choice for breakfast including smoked salmon ! View from the 8th floor restaurant was fantastic looking over the city. I would stay at this hotel again when visiting Luxembourg.

Could not have asked for more!
As a solo traveler, I was delighted with the service, style, comfort, location and staff at this exceptional hotel. When traveling for pleasure, I look also for restaurants and shopping nearby and safe surroundings. This Sofitel hotel has it all. Plus, Luxembourg is a lovely city.

Absolutely fantastic hotel within a few minutes walk of the old town. Rooms were spacious and the bed was comfortable. The 8th floor restaurant and bar was really good with an amazing view.
