Very classy, but maybe a too high desire to be so
Very beautifull location, an old classy building, with an Amazing garden. Somehow, on several points we had the idea that they were more busy with their reputation as a star hotel, than with the comfort of their guests. Disappointing for example, that in the 2 restaurants inside, you can not enter without long pants, despite the country temperature of 45 degrees. Your only option is to dine in the garden, or inside your room. We saw several guests with this problem.

Most of the hotels in Egypt requests trousers during dinner. Please note that in addition to the garden and room service, we have the terrace where guests can also dine. Al jaren de wens gehad om in dit hotel te verblijven, gezien de historie. Prima ontvangst, luxe kamer. Mooie tuin met heerlijk zwembad. Een oase van rust, waren ook weinig gasten, wat voor mij juist helemaal geen probleem was. 6 dagen well spend. Het ontbijt was prima, ruime keuze. Avondeten schort nog wel wat aan. Eerste dag in het luxe restaurant gegeten, de kippensoep was heerlijk. het volgende kip gerecht was meer saus dan kip, ook stukjes pees in de kip. Dit zelfde issue had ik ook bij de 'bbq' in de tuin de avond erop. 2 keer zat ik wel heel alleen in of het restaurant of tuin. Dus de rest van de dagen op de kamer gegeten, iets meer keus, en heerlijk eten. (ben zelf ook niet de makkelijkste eter, dus beperkt pallet, dat toegegeven). Men zou zich er goed aan doen om wat meer variatie in de kaart, niet dat je elke dag de keuze hebt uit dezelfde gerechten. Wanneer je langer verblijft wordt je zo wel gedwongen om ergens in Luxor te gaan uit eten. Verder was het personeel zeer hulpvaardig. Wordt goed voorzien van flesjes water op de kamer. Spullen in de minibar gewoon zelfde prijs als overal, dus geen extra kosten mocht je daar iets uit halen. Al met al zou ik hier vaker kunnen komen, 's zomers met 41 graden is toch best wel warm.. misschien ook daadwerkelijk in de winter.. :)

リバービューのお部屋はナイル川の美しい景色を満喫出来、ルクソール神殿にも近く、その周辺には飲食店もあり、立地は素晴らしいです。 チェックアウトが朝早かったのでブレックファーストボックスをお願いしたら快く用意してくださいました。 お庭やプールも綺麗で館内のインテリアも素敵です。 バスルームだけシャワーを使用すると洗面やトイレ部分の床がビチャビチャになります。2泊して2回目は工夫してみましたがやはりビチャビチャになり、水はけも悪く朝になっても乾いていませんでした。 それ以外は満足しています。

Sumptuous elegance and calm against the back drop of a chaotic city My mum and I spent a week here for her 80th b’day present. This is an oasis of calm compared to the chaos and hassle of Luxor. From the fact our room was upgraded by the lovely reception staff to have more space for the week we were there, to the soft and unbelievably comfy bed linen to the absolutely amazing staff who helped us, this is a wonderful Hotel. I can’t name them all as I’d be here all day, but stand outs were Ashraf, Khaled and Rashidy. And then the lovely receptionist, the brilliant door man who helped change my dollars on last day, to the lovely female cleaner. Mum had the best time and we ended up eating there every day as we liked the service so much.

A historic hotel in a prime location with wonderful staff and lots of charm. The staff takes great pride in their jobs and work really hard to accommodate your every need and request. Rooms are nice and offer very comfortable beds. The bar/lounge by the lobby was excellent. Great staff, service and live piano during happy hour. The grounds are spacious and beautiful. The pool is large, but requires significantly more chlorine as it has algae throughout the grout, walls and filters. The food was ok. Absolutly nothing to reflect or rival a 5 star hotel. The breakfast was ok. The food at the pool was subpar. Dinner was ok. The stores connected to the hotel are a circus. Nobels Art Gallery and Nobels Jewelers are all owned by the same family and are a complete rip off. I purchased an 18k cartouche from Shady. I picked up my cartouche and went back to the hotel and realized the letters on my name were FAKE GOLD. I took it back to the store and informed him I knew it wasn’t real gold. He admitted it and refunded me. So disturbing. I made the hotel aware given the stores products are displayed throughout the hotel endorsing the stores. Overall, the hotel was ok. It is a historic hotel but absolutly not a five star hotel.

This was one of my best experiences at a hotel. The Victorian ambience is charming. The service is absolutely phenomenal - the staff really take care of you and are super-friendly. The rosemary chicken at the restaurant was the best I have ever had.

Wonderful old hotel
First we had a small room without balcony although I had booked a Nile view room. But we got a huge room with a balcony overlooking the amazing garden. The hotel is a bit rundown but lovely. Breakfast was excellent. All in all wonderful three days

It's a beautiful hotel, in a beautiful location, in desperate need of a total renovation. Everything is either dirty, or outdated. From peeling paint to toilets not flushing properly, everything need a gut job. Our room had a stunning view, but heating, bidet and windows did not work properly. We were freezing because of the draft from the old windows that don't close properly. The entire hotel is falling apart, certainly not the luxury experience we were expecting. We could not wait to get out of there.

This is a palace that was built in 1886. the space is truly palatial and unique. An upgrade or restoration of furniture, and bathroom amenities need to be done.
