Welcome to Cape Cottage, nestled on a fenced 3/4 acre private lot with side and back deck views located in central Lynchburg! Built in the 1920s but updated with modern amenities, your stay in our cozy coastal home will be a breeze!

This is a two-story cape cod home with a king and queen bed on the second floor and a sleeper sofa on the first floor. Our home features free parking on a newly paved asphalt driveway and stone pavers across the front yard leading to the front door.

Here's what else you can expect to find at Cape Cottage:

LIVING ROOM: 65” Roku TV for streaming apps such as Netflix, L-shape sectional sofa, closet for hanging clothing, board games.

KITCHEN: Full kitchen with stainless steel appliances (fridge, stove, oven, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, crockpot, traditional coffee pot), glass and plastic dishware/drinkware/flatware for a 6-person setting, pots/pans, basic cooking dishes and utensils.

DINING: Formal dining room with fully supplied coffee bar and a table with seating for 6. Bar seating off the kitchen with seating for 2.

BEDROOMS (second floor): 12” memory foam king and queen bed, ceiling fans, spare fans for white noise, charging station bedside lamps.

STUDY (first floor): Sleeper sofa with full size sleeping arrangement.

BATHROOM: shower/tub combo, sink, toilet.

LAUNDRY ROOM: washer & dryer, iron & ironing board.

YARD: 4-person hot tub, side deck with patio seating for 2, back deck with seating for 1, spacious ¾ acre fenced yard.

PARKING: newly paved asphalt driveway.

HVAC: ductless heating and air with remotes for each region of the house.

SECURITY CAMERAS: Our cameras are monitoring the front door, side deck, rear deck, and backyard (pointed away from hot tub for privacy).

We wanted to explore Lynchburg and found the Coastal Cottage Retreat on VRBO. It was perfect for the two of us. The kitchen was well stocked and the bed was comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again the next time we're in town.

We had a wonderful stay at this VRBO. The host was quick to respond and very gracious. The place is clean and decorated well. Only complaint not enough toilet paper was accessible. Two rolls were provided for 4 days.

This is our second time staying in this VRBO. This property is roughly 13 minutes from the heart of Liberty University. It is very close to restaurants, gas stations and grocery stores. The property has a real country vibe, and it was fun watching the deer from the hot tube. We definitely will book again.

Really enjoyed the layout of the living areas and loft. Was perfect for two old college buddies but could be challenging for multiple families. Very good location in proximity to Lynchburg College/UofL.

This cottage was perfect for our family of 4. We were in Lynchburg for a wedding. The cottage was just as described and we appreciated all of the little notes and tips around the house. The decor was adorable and it was very cozy. The yard was also great for the kids to play and get some energy out. Amazing and would definitely stay again if we return to Lynchburg

We came for a girls overnight trip and enjoyed our stay! House is newly renovated but has nice charm. The hot tub was nice to enjoy. Great place to stay with close friends.

We stayed the weekend to attend Liberty family weekend with our daughter which also happened to fall on her 18th birthday. Liberty is only 9-12 minutes away depending on traffic around the university. The house is airy and cheerful while providing a calming atmosphere. The owners were prompt with responding to our questions and gracious.

I rented this cute little house for for trip to drop our oldest son off for his first year at Liberty University. It was the perfect size for me, my husband and our two sons. It was an easy drive to and from the University and the neighborhood was safe and quiet. The owners of the home put a lot of thought into making our stay like a home away from home. We enjoyed the amenities of the kitchen and coffee bar and the hot tub was nice after a long day of move in and walking campus. I would be very likely to rent this home again when we return in the spring to pick my son up.

The coastal cottage was the perfect place for our girls getaway weekend. It was impeccably clean and was stocked with everything we needed to make ourselves at home during our stay. The bedroom was nicely divided for privacy, the mattresses were a medium-firm support and very comfortable. The street is off a main road with shopping close by for convenience but the property is tucked away, making it a peaceful and quiet retreat.
