Kom zomer, het dek is voorzien van een houtskoolgrill en gasgrill in aanvulling op buiten zitplaatsen voor heerlijke diners al fresco!     Het huis ligt op een toplocatie vlak bij Darling Hill Road en biedt gemakkelijke toegang tot Kingdom Trails voor nordic skiën en vetbanden fietsen in de winter, met wandelen en mountainbiken in de zomer. VT Weekend.

All wonderful. The house was clean, provided plenty of space and beds and the hosts were terrific communicators. They even offered an early check-in which was much appreciated on a rainy day that we would have otherwise sat in our cars waiting after our first ride finished in a downpour. Location was stellar.

The vacation house with everything!

We visited Jamie and Zena's beautiful house several times since they first bought it and have enjoyed the continual upgrades and added amenities as they made this place truly their own. Outfitted for maximum fun and adventure, I can't think of a thing that's missing--except us being able to be there more! Great for extended families and loved ones ready to stay cozy by the wood stove, or primed to venture forth for exhilarating seasonal activities--of which there are many1 We had heard about Burke for years and are so happy to have finally experienced what all the hype was about.

Excellent stay!

We stayed at this house over Memorial Day weekend. It is in a prime location with direct access to the bike trails without needing to drive to a trailhead. Some of the best trails at KT are right down the hill. My kids loved that the bike skills park is a quick ride up the hill from the house. The house is well equipped with everything we needed and has plenty of space. It was nice to be able to store our bikes in the garage at night. The owners communicated very quickly with any questions we had. They even allowed us a later checkout time so we could get a long ride in the morning and shower before our long ride home. I would not hesitate to stay at this home again for our future KT adventures.

Perfect for our family

The house was just perfect for our family: rooms for everyone, large and well equiped kitchen, a nice basement with games & media room and a bar. To be able to park the car inside a garage is awesome. It's well located near the Kingdom Trails and Burke Mountain. Ski at Burke Mountain is just great by the way. Great house - Perfect for Kingdom Trails

This was the perfect place for our group to ride the Kingdom Trails. This very clean and nicely furnished house is located on a trail in a great location. We really enjoyed the large kitchen table and game room when we were off the bikes. The two car garage was really handy for bike storage and maintenance. Everyone in our group is looking forward to renting this house again.

Loved our stay at this house!

It was a quick drive to Burke Mountain as well as town & restaurants - and The Kingdom Trails are steps away. There was lots of space in the house for our group which included kids & adults. Game room downstairs kept the kids busy while the adults relaxed near the wood stove upstairs after a great day outside! The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed to cook our meals, beds and bedding were super comfortable - the owners have done a great job making the house feel like a home rather than just a rental. So convenient to be able to pull into the garage to load/unload our gear. We will definitely be back to stay next winter !

The location of the house is incredibly convenient to town, restaurants, skiing and the access to the Kingdom Trails was fabulous. Great Family Vacation!

Great house with plenty of room and lots of amenities! We especially liked the location, close to both Burke Mountain and Kingdom Trails—the trails go right past the backyard and could not be more inviting. Great restaurants, specialty food and grocery stores are minutes away (check out Libbey’s Meat Market and The White Market). House layout is group friendly with open kitchen and beautiful cherry dining table next to a cozy wood stove. Quiet bedrooms and bathrooms are on all three levels. The basement game room with foosball, darts, bar and TV was very popular with kids and adults. Everything was clean, comfy and worked! This was our first visit to the Northeast Kingdom of Vermont and we loved the open land and beautiful views in all directions. Parking at the house is plentiful, including garage space, and easy access to major roads and nearby towns. We shopped for food and vintage clothes in Lyndon, and ran a 5K and browsed antique, furniture and clothing stores in St. Johnsbury. We hope to take in a film, concert, or live theater at the renowned Kingdom County Productions next time. Lots to do! We were there in the winter (ski conditions at Burke were perfect), so we didn’t get to use the rear deck that has a picnic table and grills—next time!

Perfect location!!

We cross country skied and biked right out the door.! We had veteran and novice skiers and bikers and everyone had a blast! Burke is a great mountain just down the road too. The house itself is very comfortable and clean with many thoughtful touches. We will definitely be returning to this amazing house!

Perfection!

We had such a great stay at this property! The house was spotless, well appointed, comfortable, roomy and cute! Everything we needed (and even some things we didn't know we needed) was provided. Sheets, towels and blankets were all really nice. Super comfortable beds. Great water pressure in the showers! I loved reading by the wood stove while the kids were downstairs enjoying the game room/tv room. Plenty of easy parking for multiple cars, 2 in the garage...what a treat! Just steps from Kingdom Trails which meant easy come and go for all of us who were on different schedules and had different outdoor activity experience! House is in a perfect location. Close to everything you want to see in the area and easy to get to right from 91. House is very cozy inside but held our large group without anyone being on top of one another. Owners provided great service, were friendly and helpful! They have nice instructions around the house for things that may be confusing and a great book of things to see and do nearby. Can't wait to go back! Would definitely rent here again.

Outdoor paradise in your backyard!

I highly recommend this stunning home. The house is great for groups, ladies weekend, or families with separate living spaces, a gorgeous spacious deck and a well equipped kitchen. The kitchen had everything we needed to make dinner at home for our group. On the nights we didn’t feel like cooking, we enjoyed the local restaurants-just minutes away in by car. Step right outside the door of this rental and you are on a trail. No packing the cars, no fighting for parking, no fees, no fuss. Just put on your cross country skis and go. The trails are well kept and go for miles. Activities include cross country skiing, snow shoeing, sledding, fat-tire biking and much more. This is a plus for families with kids, or groups who are on different time schedules. The yard is huge and perfect for kids to run around in. Right down the road is Burke Mountain with skiing for all levels. We loved going to Apres Ski at the mountain for a drink after being outdoors all day. They had great live music and we saw the most beautiful sunset over the mountains. (There is a spa within 5 mins of the house as well. We didn’t make it this trip, but plan too next time we visit) This was my first visit to the area and I assumed it was a winter wonderland. We soon found out from locals that winter is great, but the spring, summer and fall are just as popular, if not more! This trip was special and forced us to be in nature which isn’t always easy in our busy lives. I truly feel relaxed and rejuvenated after spending time in this home and taking advantage of all the activities there are to enjoy. The owners Jamie & Zena were wonderful to work with. They keep the house impeccable and you can tell take pride in their home. They built a beautiful bar (man/lady cave) in the basement with a game room too! This house has everything!
