'We stayed one night. Our room was old but very clean and well maintained. The bed was comfortable with plenty of pillows and there were extra towels. The only issue was the TV volume was messed up and would go from quiet to loud and couldn’t be adjusted. It would be nice to have several bottles of water for guests since it’s so out of the way. I suggest that you bring food and drinks with you. We did end up going to the general store at the neighbor property Inn at Stonecliffe to buy water....

'Booked the hotel through Expedia. When I got to the hotel after a 9.5 hour drive found out the hotel was almost a $1000 more than I thought. They don’t have their prices updated or right on Expedia so be careful.'

'Wow! This motel was really a nice surprise. The easiest check-in to a hotel or motel I have ever had. The staff were upbeat and helpful. The landscape with all the flowers was outstanding! The room had a nice fridge and a microwave. It was clean and didn't smell like chemicals like other motel and hotels do. You can back up right to your door. Most importantly the price was half the price of rooms in Mackinaw City in which we have stayed, and much nicer.'

'We knew it would be a good stay after being in the office for 30 seconds. This is truly a small mom&pop motel, the owner was very helpful and inviting while we checked in. You could tell she cared about the property. She even informed us they do a small campfire with smores in the evening. We sat around and had a few drinks with other guests and it creates an awesome atmosphere. As far as the room, for an honest review they are small. What they lack in size is made up for with quality. 'I can’t believe I spend so much for a night at this hotel. The outside of the property and the lobby is nice and looks promising. However the room I stayed in was the 2nd worst hotel room I’ve ever stayed in and I’ve stayed in hundreds of hotels. The carpet was gross, and the bathroom was disgusting. The shower and floor were stained and it smelled musty and moldy to the point that I couldn’t be in there for more than a couple minutes before gagging. I wouldn’t shower in there and did my makeup...

'You get what you pay for. There was a crack and water stains on the ceiling of my room. The furniture was run down. '

'The room had a terrible musty odor and had cobwebs and dead bugs on the ceiling and in the corners. The carpet needed to be vacuumed. The tile floor in the bathroom had dirty grout and big gaps of missing grout. The midges were able to get in the room between the patio doors. Luckily I had some duct tape in my car and I was able to tape around the door frame to help keep them out. The balcony and patio screen door were covered with dead bugs which made looking out at the lake disgusting....
