Heerlijk hotel
Mooi hotel, kregen bij aankomst gratis up grade naar junior suite, mooie ruime kamer met 2 balkons met uitzicht op zee, vriendelijk personeel.

Prachtig hotel
Schitterend zee uitzicht vanuit de balkon in je kamer. Hotel is heerlijk rustig en het enige geluid was het geluid van de golven op de rotsen als de schuifpui open stond. Zodra de schuifpui dicht was, was het gewoon stil in de kamer. Kamer was erg schoon, personeel erg vriendelijk, ontbijt buffet was goed en gevarieerd. Locatie ten opzichte van supermarkten, winkels en restaurants perfect. Parkeer gelegenheid was er ook voldoende. Echt waarde voor je geld!

Poor hotel - not up to Regency standards
Upon arriving at our hotel the hotel manager refused at first to give us room, citing "IT issues" and that the hotel was fully booked. They suggested to transfer us to a cheaper hotel down the road (for free - what an irony!). After insisting that we should get our room and talking to the general Manager (ms.Fernandes) we did get our booked-for room. Needless to say, this is one of the wors receptions we've ever had. Upon arriving at our hotel room we were immediately called that they forgot to enter our details and that we should come up - very unprofessional! Though the reception was terrible the hotel service was too - WIFI does not work in almost any of the rooms (but, it is free!), we needed to wait 20+minutes to get breakfast, the TV (19 inch) is so small it's hard to see from anywhere in the room. The head manager did apoligize for everything and we even got a 20% discount on a dinner. Needless to say, we didn't take her up on that... Madeira is a great holiday destination but this hotel is not part of it.

Liked some of the rooms being on a cliff are below reception floor and loved the sound of the crashing waves. Only dislike having to pay for key to safe which is a bit outdated now

The Madeira Regency Cliff Hotel was in the most pefect location, we had a room overlooking the sea which was amazing. The hotel was very quiet, it seems to be popular with the more older traveller, so no noisy drunks coming back during the early hours. The main doors are kept locked at night which adds to the safety, although this can be an issue when arriving or departing during the night. The breakfast had a good choice and was always hot and fresh, and the staff were attentive. There are a lot of hills here but the hotel offers a free bookable courtesy car to and from the centre, and the main shopping centre is opposite the hotel, as are the local bus stops, which charge around €2 each to the marina. There is a chargeable minibar and free fruit and water in the room on arrival. Overall extremely pleased with our stay and would stay again.

I feel like the property is stuck in the 80s. The towels, the gym hardly any equipment nor free weights. The 2 trade mills are not working correctly. When you checked in, they give you an envelop where they would charge you for Chris and that if yo iso this and that. They charge me daily rate for using the in room safe, with 25€ deposit as if I were to leave the property with the key. If you want extra instant coffee or tea (more than 2 of each provided in the room) there’s extra charge. There are total of 12 parking spaces for guests, 6 in the garage, 3 in front of hotel and 3 outside the garage. I assumed most are occupied by staffs anyway. So, if you are a guest and has a car… good luck. It’s stressful looking for parking on the street when you are on vacation in a foreign city. Pool towel must be exchanged for a card provided otherwise no pool towel for you. Thankfully I didn’t have to use it. Overall, staffs are nice and they were helpful.

Impressed by the size of the room - more of a suite than a conventional room - one of the best hotels my wife and I have stayed in during many years of travel. Location provides easy access to all that Madeira has to offer, without the bustle of Funchal.

The location was beautiful, gorgeous views of the bay. Balconies were amazing. The staff was extremely friendly, Mara at the front desk and Adamar at the bar and restaurant were extremely helpful and pleasant. The breakfast buffet was included and had everything we wanted. You can catch a bus (2 min walk) to Old Town, or walk along the bay for 2.5 miles. Highly recommend it!

Hotel was in a great location up on the cliff overlooking the sea. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. Our room was large and very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Excellent place!
This hotel is just wonderful! Amazing staff, delicious buffet breakfast and helpful and friendly staff. All rooms have a sea view and the views from the terrace where meals are had is just stunning. Location great too, easy to walk to several eateries (but some steep hills to negotiate!) or take the bus into Funchal from a stop just minutes away. I would say try and get a room on floor 2 or above (we were on floor 2 and suited us perfectly), floor one you may find yourself next to the pool where your privacy is somewhat affected, and people can walk past any room on that level. Do not hesitate to book this hotel, you will not be disappointed!

Tolles Hotel - Super Aufenthalt
War dort Geschäftlich unterwegs. Hotel hat eine Super Lage und ist sehr ruhig. Die Zimmer sind großzügig und sehr gut ausgestattet. Bad und Dusche sind sehr angenehmen.

Proper 4 stars hotel
This is truly a 4 stars hotel with everything as advertised, including the important fact that the rooms look like in the photos. Staff were extremely helpful, proactive, and friendly. The views are amazing! The area around the hotel is safe and quiet, and everything you need (groceries, etc) is within a 5 mins walk.

Gutes Hotel für erholsame Ferien zu zweit
Zimmer mit perfektem Meerblick. Aufgrund der Ausrichtung des Hotels kein Straßenlärm zu hören, nur Meeresrauschen. Dennoch zentrale Lage in Sao Martinho. Die Außenbereiche sind ebenfalls stets ruhig da es sich um ein Erwachsenenhotel handelt. Beim Frühstück wäre etwas mehr Abwechselung schön.

Super Hotel mit schönem Ausblickund großer Terasse
Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt im Madeiras Gegency Cliff sehr genossen und hatten ein sehr geräumiges Zimmer mit großen Balkon und wunderschönen Blick auf Funchal und den Atlantik. Das includierte Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen. Wer möchte kann beim Frühstück auf der großzügigen Terrasse sitzen und den tollen Ausblick genießen. Ein kostenloser Parkplatz in der Tiefgarage und vor dem Hotel wird angeboten, es war allerdings nicht immer ein Parkplatz frei.
