Special property for mums 80th Birthday
What an amazing property with the most fantastic views - perfect part of the island with the little beach below and cable car access The owner was really responsive with messages and very helpful, even helping to organise a birthday cake Had a little trouble with alarms going off when we arrived but it was soon sorted Can highly recommend the restaurant in town called Ferrugem - staff were wonderful Also True Spirit Jeep Tours to the North with off roading and vineyard/winetasting - they even collected us from the house.

Perfect stay
The property was simply stunning with incredible views. We normally stay in 4-5 star properties when traveling. On this trip we had our daughter and her fiancé joining us hence we opted for a villa - it did not disappoint. We all had ample space both indoors and outdoors. Only wish we stayed longer - 5 days was not enough.

Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und modern eingerichtet. Der beheizte Pool macht das Erlebnis perfekt. Die Ansprechpartnerin vor Ort hat innerhalb von Minuten auf meine Anfragen reagiert und super schnell die Lösung gebracht. Neu für mich war, dass der Gast selbst Toilettenpapier, Küchenrolle, Kosmetiktücher und Spülmaschinentabs besorgt. Aus meiner Sicht ok, nur hatte ich das am Anfang nicht gewusst.

Beautiful house with breathtaking views! Our group of 6 loved our stay. The common areas are extremely spacious and comfortable. We loved coming home at the end of the day and having a glass of wine on the patio while watchibg the stars shine over the ocean waves. Waking up to see the sunrise through the living room’s glass wall or the pool patio was breathtaking. The owner was extremely responsive to all questions about our stay. Loved it and would love to go back!

Fantastic house with amazing views.
This house is in the most incredible location, it looks out over the Atlantic with the statue of Cristo Rei directly in your line of sight. It is well equipped and feels very secure and safe. The pool was really lovely just the right size for a cooling plunge. The local facilities are really good, a couple of nice cafés, restaurants, a greengrocer, supermarket and a car rental office. We are already talking about when we’re going to return. A huge “thank you” to Jōao for all the info he passed on prior to our visit and for being on call should we have needed his help.

Beautiful House, Bad Experience
Upon arrival, we were very pleased with the accommodation. We had invited our son and his partner to be our guests at the villa as we hadn’t seen our son since his move to Portugal almost a year and a half ago. As the other reviews have described, the house is beautiful, modern and spacious. The view of the ocean and the sunsets from the deck are lovely. Unfortunately, we wound up having a similar experience as some previous guests on this site re. the pool not being heated as advertised. Prior to our arrival we requested through our travel agent that the pool be heated as we were only going to be there for 5 days, and as seniors, my husband and I find a heated pool easier on us. She was assured that the pool would be heated. Unfortunately when we arrived we found that the pool was ice cold. We informed the owner instantly and over the next 5 days, my son dealt with the owner on our behalf. He was told the situation would be rectified and unfortunately it remained cold. After the 2nd or 3rd day, my son did ask the owner whether he would be providing his parents with any money back as we had paid for but not gotten a pool that could be used. As a lovely gesture, or so we thought, the owner had a bottle of wine and a cake sent over. I was pleased and satisfied with that. What soured the experience for us and what was truly unexpected and shocking, was after our departure the owner sent my son an email accusing him of intentionally breaking into the box, supposedly from the moment we arrived, and turning the heater off on a daily basis so we could ask for a “discount”. He felt that there could be no other explanation as to why the heater wouldn’t stay on. I have no words. I am still in shock.

Dear Irena Korol, Thank you for your stay at our home. About our heaten pool is working and it's very hot water right now and our guest are enjoy it. When you arrive, as the other guest ask us to turn off the heaten, we just have to swicht in again, what we did it. From the very first time your soon start to ask us a discount and ask us about some comments from years past that we have this problem. But we invested on a huge and good equipment and we never had complains anymore. Just with you. We have this VIP treatment for you as when you arrive the pool wasn´t so hot as you ask it. But days ahead when our staff (daily to turn it in) come the equipment was turn off. We ask a technical report that confirm that to us. We are also very disapointed with you. Wohlfühlen auf Madeira
Wirklich schönes und großes Haus in toller Lage. Die Insel lässt sich von dort gut erkunden. Pool, Tischtennis, etc lassen auch einen Aufenthalt im Haus nicht langweilig werden. Alles in allem: sehr lohnenswert!

Joao est un excellent Hôte et la villa est idéalement située avec une vue imprenable sur la Mer ! La maison est très grande et agréable, le voisinage très calme car la villa est située au bout d'une voie sans issue. Côté points à améliorer je dirais quelques équipements comme le réfrégirateur un peu vieillissant et surtout la literie qui elle n'est pas au niveau de la maison. En conclusion, une magnifique maison à louer, peut être un peu onéreuse mais unique de ce niveau là avec cette localisation !

Absolut fantastisch!
Wunderschöner Blick. Tolles Haus. Ein perfekter Urlaub, in dem der Wohlfühleffekt sehr hoch war. Sowohl im Haus als auf der Terrasse kann man wunderbar entspannen, essen und verweilen. Die Ruhe tut richtig gut. Der Blick auf Meer, Himmel, Christo Rei, Ilhas Desertas und den Felsen im Westen verändert sich mit den Lichtverhältnissen und bietet eine sehr schöne Kulisse. Der Pool war sehr angenehm. Die Nähe zum Strand und zur Tauchstation haben wir genossen. Wir haben Ausflüge auf der ganzen Insel unternommen (alles kein Problem - durch die Autobahnnähe ist man überall recht schnell. Weiteste Entfernung 1 Stunde und 10 Minuten). Die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in Garajau sind sehr praktisch. Die Kommunikation mit João war sehr unkompliziert und entgegenkommend. Danke dafür! Absolut empfehlenswert!

What an amazing villa.warm swimming pool.modern,stylish classy property.the owner João gave us lifts into town with one phone call.he gave us the key to his private bar.put us in touch with Bruno a local taxi who new our exact location and charged us of the meter rate(cheaper than normal),João gave us wine on request.he recommended local restaraunts shops and attractions.you are in a very quiet location but around 10 mins walk to local shops pharmacy and restaurants.raviolli good for lunch.and Fargo’s for an excellent mix grill.10 mind walk to bus stop.you have a very tall flight of stairs to conquer or can walk a longer way round.fantastic views and only 15 min drive to Funchal.joao was an amazing host who was available at any time for any request.sleeep 6 but could accommodate more on request.the property has a separate Amex which sleeps 2 if booked ahead I believe.a wonderful apartment in a wonderful location.if you want your little bit of luxury and quiet relaxing tropical break look no thurther.good for groups of young singles of families.thank you for a wonderful memorable Holliday João we will be back

7x twenty four little hours. Das Haus - traumhaft schön. Ruhig in einer Sackgasse, mehr als 180 Grad Meerblick. Ausstattung reichlich und durchdacht, Unterstützung der Agentur prompt und zuvorkommend (defekter Schirm innerhalb weniger Std ausgetauscht). Garageneinfahrt wirklich eine Challenge, Autos größer als Fiesta besser vor dem Haus parken. Gerne wieder, Obrigado!!

Cette maison est magnifique et immense. Encore plus superbe que sur les photos. La vue du salon est époustouflante et le quartier très tranquille. On s'y sent vraiment bien et elle est parfaitement équipée. La piscine est agréable et très propre. Pour rentrer et sortir du garage, c'est très sportif. Et les salles de bains auraient besoin d'un petit coup de neuf. Nous reviendrons volontiers si nous retournons à Madère

We had a lovely week in this house - much of the time spent looking at the panoramic view. João was very helpful when we needed him and communicated well. The property is in a good location for getting around and there is a good variety of shops within a short driving distance.

It was a lovely villa. The weather not so good in June though.
It was a lovely experience. I feel that more communication with the manager just before the trip would’ve been useful but it was fine during and afterwards. More of a reminder of things to do when you arrive. A fantastic Villa, not child friendly though because of the stairs but a great central location. Would highly recommend it for a good break!

Toller Urlaub und sehr schönes Haus
Wir (2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder) haben 10 Tage in dem Haus verbracht. Die Kommunikation mit Joao war sehr gut und lief ausschließlich über E-Mail und WhatsApp. Das Haus ist wirklich sehr schön und sehr geräumig. Der Pool war klasse und immer angenehm beheizt. Die Aussicht von der Terrasse ist super und ideal zum Entspannen. Auch der grosse Wohnraum zur Terrasse hin ist toll und ideal zum „Chillen“. Die Auffahrt zur Garage ist etwas eng - wir haben daher meist auf der Straße geparkt. Das ist aber kein Problem, weil das Haus in einer Sackgasse liegt und es kaum Verkehr gibt. Alle Zimmer und Bäder waren sehr sauber und geräumig. Auch die Lage ist sehr gut. Nach Funchal sind es gerade mal 15 min mit dem Auto und auch der Flughafen ist nicht weit. Wir können die Unterkunft sehr empfehlen.

Stunning cliff top house, well worth a visit
This house lives up to all the reviews. It’s a fantastic vast palace. The four of us felt a bit lost with so much space. We all loved it however, having the cinema room kept the kids occupied in the evening. The views were stunning and having a heated pool meant that regardless of the weather we were in and out of it lots. It’s perfectly situated overlooking the sea, close enough to Garajau to be able to walk to the shops and only 15 minutes from either Funchal or the airport. The island has loads to offer for all. This beautiful house provided us with the perfect relaxing holiday we were after. We’d love to go back.

Tolles Haus mit tollem Ausblick
Wir waren schon einige Male in diesem wunderschönen Haus und sind jedes Mal begeistert: Die großzügige Architektur des Hauses, die große Glasfront mit herrlichem Ausblick aufs Meer und Cristo Rei, die tolle Küche, die gesamte Ausstattung des Hauses, der Pool (diesmal beheizt :-) !!). Alles bestens! Joao ist ein perfekter Gastgeber und bei Problemen oder Fragen leicht erreichbar. Die Kommunikation mit ihm ist unkompliziert und schnell. Für uns ist es das beste Haus in der Gegend. Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Aufenthalt im Sea House :-)

Living a Dolce Vita
This is a place you would always wish to visit again. Everything for a perfect holiday is there: a modern spacious house, a magnificent view, quiet area and absolute privacy. We enjoyed breakfast with fresh exotic local fruit outside in the sun on the terrace and a dinner with local seafood in the evening with candle light. My partner absolutely loved this holiday home and I am sure I would not find a better stay in Madeira. The house Located with a walking distance to local attraction, a beautiful monument overlooking the sea. There is a good supermarket nearby, also a walking distance and the capital of Madeira about 10-15 minute drive. I would definitely recommend this place, it is a gem.

Excellent accomodation, very clean. Perfect location, however the villa next door was being renovated and we encountered noise from 9am till 10 pm every day except sundays, I should have been made aware of this before my visit, especially as a baby was in our party, otherwise great choice would recommend

I spent a week in this house with my family. We were 6 people and it was perfectly comfortable. The house is huge, clean and the view on the sea amazing! It was so nice to wake up with calm and in front of the sea. The pool is really nice as well and warm ! I advise to book this house which is near to Funchal (capital), shops and restaurants. Madere is a charming island and we would love to come back again. Joao was an attentive owner, always available by call, and Teresa, the housekeeper has been welcoming, we really appreciated that!

Haus und Lage top, jedoch im Juni 2018 extremer Baulärm
Das Haus bietet alles was man sich vorstellen kann: toller Ausblick, tolles Inventar, sauber und sehr freundliche Vermieter. Den Pool konnte man fast garnicht nutzen, da er sehr kalt war. Man benötigt hier ein Auto, zwecks Einkaufen und andere Aktivitäten. Der Vermieter bietet ein Auto in der Tiefgarage zum Mieten an; sehr praktisch. Dieses konnten wir günstiger mieten aufgrund des Baulärms vom Nachbarn, als Entschädigung. Die Entschädigung empfanden wir jedoch zu gering im Verhältnis zu dem Mietpreis. Der Nachbar baut ein größeres Projekt im Garten und dadurch hatten wir in unserem 14tägigen Aufenthalt fast täglich Baulärm (Presslufthammer und Stemmarbeiten). Das hat unseren Urlaub sehr beeinträchtigt und somit waren wir ständig auf der Flucht. Vor Antritt unseres Urlaubes wurden wir hierüber nicht informiert. Erst nachdem wir den Vermieter darauf aufmerksam gemacht haben. Als Entschädigung haben wir zusätzlich eine Flasche Wein und ein selbstgebackenen Kuchen erhalten. Das war sehr nett. Der Vermieter hat uns dann regelmäßig über die bevorstehenden Bauarbeiten vorher informiert, dass z.B. mit starken Baugeräten am nächsten Tag gearbeitet wird. Ziel unseres Urlaubes war es jedoch, eine ruhige Zeit mit einigen Ausflügen zu verbringen. Nun haben wir fast alle Sehenswürdigkeiten auf Madeira gesehen.

Ferienhaus in Traumlage mit Patina
Die Lage des Ferienhauses ist super. Man hat einen sehr schönen Blick auf das Meer und Cristo Rei. Ein Auto ist nicht zwingend nötig, aber empfehlenswert. Das Haus selbst ist sehr komfortabel. Allerdings könnten die Badezimmer eine Auffrischung gebrauchen. Bedauerlich fanden wir auch, das die Hausverwalterin bei unserer Ankunft und auch sonst nie, vor Ort war. Somit konnten wir keine Fragen zur Alarmanlage und zur Müllentsorgung stellen. Auch fanden wir den Schlüssel für das Auto erst am Tag unserer Abreise im Schlüsselsafe. Anscheinend ist er während unseres Aufenthaltes kommentarlos dort abgelegt worden. Grundsätzlich können wir das Haus empfehlen. Allerdings sollte man in absehbarer Zeit etwas investieren, in Ausstattung und Service.

Liebe Manuela, vielen Dank für Ihre Kommentare. In Bezug auf eine Person nicht bei der Ankunft mit, war es nicht genau, da sie alle Hinweise gegeben wurden und manchmal die Verzögerung Flüge und es gibt auch Gäste, die einfach ruhig kommen lieber. Vielen Dank und wir freuen uns darauf, Sie in unserem wunderschönen Haus begrüßen zu dürfen.
