  • Mountain Joy Cottage # 10, Big Bear, is ingericht in een beren-thema. Dit romantische huisje is uitgerust met een jacuzzi.

    Oorspronkelijk was het de thuisbasis van Maggie Setzer, voor wie Maggie Valley werd genoemd, het land waar Mountain Joy zit, is een speciale plaats. U zult betoverd raken door zijn bergcharme, familiale sfeer en karakter. We bieden alle moderne gemakken die u zou verwachten met het hele jaar door toegang en afzondering die maar weinigen kunnen bieden.

    Geniet van de rustige landelijke omgeving van onze huisjes. We hebben cottages met één, twee en vier slaapkamers, allemaal uitgerust met open haarden, kabel-tv, internet en keukens die klaar staan om een zelfgemaakte maaltijd te bereiden. Buiten hebben de veranda's schommelstoelen, zodat u kunt genieten van uw koffie in de ochtend of 's avonds kunt genieten van de zonsondergang op de bergen. Ons glazen binnenzwembad (seizoensgebonden) biedt een heerlijke plek om te ontspannen.

    Mountain Joy Cottages zijn centraal gelegen in het hart van Maggie Valley, op slechts een straat verwijderd van Setzer Cove Road, met gemakkelijke toegang tot alle bezienswaardigheden in de omgeving. We zijn slechts enkele minuten verwijderd van de Scenic Blue Ridge Parkway en het Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Het gebied is vol met ambachtelijke, antieke en souvenirwinkels. In de vrije natuur kunt u paardrijden, golfen op bergcursussen in de omgeving, vissen op forel in beekjes, wildwaterraften en mooie tochten maken. Sneeuw skiën en slangen is beschikbaar voor het hele gezin in het skigebied Cataloochee. Het nachtleven omvat alles van Jazz tot Bluegrass, verstopping of entertainment voor het diner. Onze huisjes zijn slechts een korte rit naar de Great Smoky Mountain Railway, Asheville en The Biltmore Estate, Cherokee en de Indian Reservation en Harrah's Casino en het historische centrum van Waynesville.

    Ongeacht het seizoen hebben Mountain Joy Cottages en Great Smokies iets heel speciaals te bieden. Van de wilde bloemen van de lente, tot de gloed van kleuren in de herfst of de sereniteit van de winter, bezoek en blijvende herinneringen aan Mountain Joy Cottages.

The cabin was cute, its an older cabin but still had charm. There are ELK that wander through the yard and eat apples off of the tree right there in front of you!!!!! Absolutely Amazing!

Our two night stay was wonderful. This was our second time staying in this cabin. The cabin was clean. There were plenty of linens. We enjoyed being lazy and sitting around the fireplace. The bed was comfy and extra pillows and blankets were provided.The office staff were kind when we arrived. We can't wait to stay again 😊

This is our second time in this unit. Very quiet location on the pond. Very nice location for a couples weekend getaway. Enjoyed the hot tub and comfortable bed. Wood burning fireplace is a nice touch as well. Bring your own food, as there isn't a good reliable restaurant in Maggie Valley. Unit was very clean upon arrival.

Great cabin getaway

It was our second time staying here & we very much enjoyed our time. Prior to our trip, we did message the property managers asking questions but never received any answers. The cabin was very clean except for some dirty dishes & cutlery (dried food, etc) that we had to clean ourselves before they could be used. Suggestions would be to upgrade the blinds so that all could be opened (missing parts) & microwave to higher power model. Refrigerator also could be upgraded for a more aesthetically pleasing vibe (it looked like ALOT of mold on the outside of the fridge). Overall, we enjoyed our stay & hope to return in the future!

Good just needs some better cleaning

There were cobwebs in places such as the curtain rods and just kind of dusty in general. There were a pair of dusty jeans that have been under the bed for a good while. Feet also turned black after walking on the floor. TV remotes also didn’t work so I’m assuming they had dead batteries.

The cabin was sweet, perfect size for a couple.……the furniture was impossible to get comfortable in, wifi service was poor, there are cracks in the walls to the outside and the fireplace didn’t have a good draw.

The Mountain Cottages

Beautiful place. Enjoyed drinking my morning coffee on the porch seeing the pond and ducks. This morning we saw two Elks that came right up to the back porch where we were. Enjoyed the hot tub. We will definitely be back.
