Serenity Retreat - Peaceful, Pet Friendly Escape, Beautiful Location!

Welcome to Serenity Retreat! This cozy cottage is the perfect place for a relaxing Great Smoky Mountain getaway.

Located in beautiful Maggie Valley, this lovely home offers year round Mountain View’s and is surrounded by nature. Local wildlife such as elk, deer, and turkeys regularly stroll by. With a gas log fireplace, WiFI, cable tv, and a fire pit, the cottage has everything you need for a wonderful escape, while also being convenient to area attractions such as the Blue Ridge Parkway, Cherokee, and Soco Falls.

Serenity Retreat is a lovely, peaceful cottage, stocked with everything you need for a fantastic mountain vacation. When you arrive at the house, you’ll find parking in the driveway for two vehicles. You can access the cottage either by ramp or up a small flight of stairs. Upon opening the front door, you’ll be greeted by a wonderful open floor plan with a spacious kitchen, plenty of comfortable seating, and a gas log fireplace. There is also a washer and dryer for our guests to use in the hall closet by the front door.

Travel to the left of the living area, and you’ll find a spacious master suite with a comfy king size bed and large screen tv so you can relax and unwind after a day exploring the mountains. This room has an adjacent sitting area with a full size futon that is perfect for an extra guest or little ones. There is also an attached full bath and walk in closet.

The cottage has a split floor plan, so back across the living room takes you to a hall bath and second bedroom with two twin beds ans plenty of board games.

Back in the living room, travel towards the back of the cottage to the spacious dining area with a family size table and chairs so our guests can enjoy meals together.

Off the dining room, the back door takes you out onto the deck where you can pull up a rocking chair and soak in the Mountain View’s. There is also a gas grill out here for our guests to enjoy. Off the deck, you can journey down the backyard path to a wonderful fire pit area with plenty of seating to roast marshmallows or enjoy a glass of wine.

Other Things To Note:
The road to Serenity Retreat is gravel, and during the winter months or in heavy rain, guests should have 4WD/AWD to access the cottage.

We do offer WiFi, but options are limited in the area and it isn’t the best for streaming or gaming. We do provide Satellite TV in both the living room and master bedroom.

Cell service can be limited in the area around the cottage.

It is just 12 miles to Cherokee and Harrah’s Casino, 5 minutes to the Blue Ridge Parkway entrance, and about 20 minutes to historic Waynesville. The Cataloochee Ski Resort is 20 minutes away and Tube World is a 10 minute drive. Guests can also reach the Biltmore Estate in Asheville in about an hour.
