The staff were great, but had a super weird experience with the owner, where she made threats to me and my family, including having us detained by her friends at immigration. It was about the payment. I booked this on Expedia and every other time I have booked lodging it is paid upfront. Apparently this one was not. Which I didn’t notice. A few hours after we left, the owner, said she was not paid. I told her that seemed odd and asked her to show verification. Instead of sending that she immediately wrote multiple threats about having us detained at immigration when we leave the country, that she knew the immigration people and had already talked to them and would have them detain us. The rate of escalation was kind of nuts. I told her from the start I would pay, but just needed to see verification that she was not in fact paid. She continued to threaten and send guilt trips. Not the biggest deal in the world, and I don’t normally write reviews, but this one was pretty uncomfortable so figured I would share it. She has since sent verification, and I have paid her, but we have not attempted to go through immigration yet, so not sure what will occur when we do. One of the weirdest interactions I have encountered in having booked hundreds of lodging over the years.
