Wonderful mountain cottage, with private pool, located amid the lovely villages of Sóller and Fornalutx, where 2+1 guests will find their privileged shelter in the island.
This idyllic house, located right in the mountain, will allow our guests to enjoy total peace surrounded by spectacular views while they relax swimming in the salt water pool or sunbathing on one of the 4 sun loungers around. The pool is a treasure, not only because of its measures (7.5 x 3.7 metres and 1.3 to 1.39 metres depth) but also because of the exclusive surroundings. The garden offers wonderful secret corners to withdraw, a barbecue area with a large wooden table under the trees shade and a romantic table to enjoy a coffee or tea together with a good reading, you choose!. You can also take a long walk throughout the fields belonging to the property, although it is important that you close all doors behind you because there are sheep. The property is fenced and it offers total privacy.

The house comprises two floors and it is decorated in a simple and traditional way, although with all you can need for an unforgettable vacation. On the main floor, there is a cosy living room, with two sofas and an armchair, where you can relax while watching the satellite TV channels and light the wood stove when it gets cold outside. The dining kitchen is equipped with a ceramic top, electric oven, and all needed utensils to cook delicious meals. Right here you will also find the washing machine, iron and ironing board to do the laundry. Then, a shower bathroom completes this floor. The two bedrooms are downstairs, on the garden level. One has a double bed and the other features a single bed. Both come with a closet, a fan and a radiator. If you are travelling with your baby, we can prepare a cot and a high chair.

As this house is in the middle of the Tramuntana mountain range it becomes part of the landscape, a unique, cosy and dreamlike place where you can disconnect from the everyday life. It belongs to the municipality of Sóller, one of the most beautiful villages in the island, but it is located between Sóller, Fornalutx and Biniaraix. Obviously, it is perfect for hikers and cyclists, or simply for those who want to be wondered by the song of birds, leaves and trees. Fornalutx, 3 km away, offers a little supermarket, a restaurant and some basic services. Sóller, 4.6 km away, provides with major services. Port de Sóller is perfect to enjoy a delicious ice-cream, have a nice walk or visit the beach. However, you cannot leave without visiting the beautiful beach of Llucalcari, located 11 km away.

The barbecue is only available from October 16 to April 30. It is forbidden to light a fire in the area of the mountain range the rest of the year.

If you are looking for a relaxing and welcoming place where you are treated kindly, this is NOT it. The owners made our holidays incredibly stressful and not relaxing. We would never stay there again. The first time we stayed at Son Bou, the cleaning staff called some manager or owner, who then told us over the phone that we had "trashed" the place and were lying about the state of it. We left it impeccable and were in shock, it was stressful. We ended up filming it all, so we would have proof. The agency, Homerti, told us it was a misunderstanding and refunded the bond, so we booked it again 2 weeks later as we thought it to be an exception. During our second visit, after our first night there at 9 am on a Sunday, the owner came unannounced onto the property to tell us that we had brought 6 or 8 people onto the property. Not only did he not tell us his name nor who he was at first, but I was also scared as he looked quite rough, angry and told us that there were cameras where he had seen this group of people coming in. I had no idea if we were safe there, who these mysterious "people" were, if he was a scammer or why he bothered us and accused us early on a Sunday morning during what was supposed to be a relaxing holiday. He ended up apologising, but the damage was already done, I do not appreciate being treated as criminals during my holidays.

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Zeit in dem Haus, die Anzeige das Inserat hat sehr gepasst. Zwei Sachen sind uns aufgefallen, die man vielleicht verbessern könnte, diese haben aber explizit nichts mit dem Haus zu tun! Zum einen war die Buchung nicht so einfach wie in einem Hotel. Schöner ist es, wenn man bucht, bezahlt oder eine Anzahlung leistet und damit fertig ist. Wir hatten einige Zahlungen von Anzahlung, über Kaution bis hin zur endgültigen Zahlung. Zusätzlich stresst es ein wenig, dass man bis kurz vorher nicht weiß, wo genau das Haus ist. Das alles ist wenig komfortabel. Für mich ein no go war, wir hatten heute Morgen Probleme bei der Toröffnung, die Notfallnummer hat allerdings erst nach 40 Minuten zurückgerufen! Das ist für eine Notfall ein bisschen spät. Ansonsten aber wie gesagt, fantastische Aufenthalt, das geben die insgesamt fünf Sterne auch wieder.

Mallorca looking house in absolutely beautiful setting. Size and facilities perfect for a couple to really have a getaway holiday. Well designed house with kitchen/diner and sitting area on entrance floor, then downstairs to bedrooms and bathroom. Seating areas for every time of day - balcony outside kitchen for breakfast & evening, shaded area outside front door & hammock for hottest times, area next to pool to lounge and dry off. Immediate surrounds lovely wooded garden, then terraced olive and lemon grove. Easy access by car to Fornalutz, Soller and Porto de Soller. If careful with traffic can walk up main road and access footpath down to Fornalutz , Biniarix and Soller. No footpath discovered to Binibassi though on some maps. On hilly section of main road to Lluc and Pollenca. Some traffic noise, but not all the time and not that intrusive. A place to enjoy and return to.

Sehr schöne, in den Bergen gelegene Finca! Der Blick in den Talkessel von Soller ist traumhaft. Bei kleinen Problemen wurde sofort reagiert und der Vermieter war persönlich vor Ort.

We had a great stay at Son Bou located just outside Soller on the hillside. The villa is perfect - very clean, comfortable and well equipped and the outside space with the pool and the view is just amazing. The slight downside is the location - a car is essential as the property is on a busy main road making it difficult to walk anywhere from the villa (although some lovely tracks are within a KM either way). Other reviews mentioned road noise, but we didn't find this too intrusive. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend.

Schönes Objekt aber leider ist die nahegelegene Landstraße sehr laut!

Die Finca ist gut mit dem Auto zu erreichen und liegt etwas unterhalb der Straße hoch zum Mirador des des Barques. Der Blick von allen Sitzgelegenheiten aus ist spektakulär. Direkt am Wohn-Essbereich anschließend ist die große Terrasse zum Essen im oberen Stock. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet mit Induktionsherd und Backofen. Großer Kühlschrank mit geräumigen Gefrierfach, es gibt keine Spülmaschine. Oberhalb des Hauses, unter Kiefern ist die sehr gemütliche Grillstelle. Im unteren Stock -ebenerdig- sind zwei Schlafzimmer, eines mit Doppelbett und eines mit zwei Einzelbetten (anders als auf den Fotos). Der Poolbereich ist fantastisch und man kann auch ein paar Bahnen schwimmen. Der Besitzer kommt alle 3-4 Tage am frühen Abend und reinigt den Pool und gießt die Pflanzen. Er kümmert sich auch um die zwei Schafe, die unterhalb des Hauses im Olivenhain leben. Man kann diese gerne mit Brot & Gemüse füttern:-) Das WLAN ist ziemlich schwach, Filme schauen geht definitiv nicht. Den Fernseher haben wir nicht ausprobiert. Man kann direkt ab dem Haus loswandern, muss jedoch in beide Richtungen ca. 500 Meter an der Straße entlang. Nach oben trifft man dann auf den Wanderweg, der runter nach Fornalutx geht (oder auch hoch zum Mirador). Dort im Ort gibt es einen kleinen Laden, der aber bestens ausgestattet ist, sogar mit Frischfleischtheke, frischem Brot, Obst, Gemüse etc. Wenn man vom Haus runter an der Straße geht, dann trifft man auf den Weg der bergab nach Soller führt, der ist sehr bequem zu gehen. Man kann auch die Runde gehen, von Fornalutx Richtung Soller und dann wieder nach oben. So haben wir unser Auto häufig stehen gelassen. Im Mai hat man ab 08.30 Uhr Sonne direkt am Pool unten außen. Oben auf der Terrasse kommt sie ca. 09.00-09.30 Uhr. Die Sonne ist ab 17.30 am Pool weg, oben an der Grillstelle hat man bis 19.30 noch etwas Sonne.

Beautiful place, really cosy. The garden is fantastic, with secret corners where you can relax, and an outdoor kitchen. Well-equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. The place was a bit difficult to find the first time, but the hosts were very helpful.
