Rustig huisje in het hart van Cotswolds

Stable Cottage is een stijlvol onlangs gerenoveerd huisje op het terrein van een landhuis en biedt een landelijk toevluchtsoord voor diegenen die willen ontsnappen naar de Cotswolds. Het pand is onberispelijk gepresenteerd en heeft een prachtig uitzicht over de vallei van de rivier. Met veel nabijgelegen wandelpaden en bruidspaden is het een ideale uitvalsbasis om te wandelen of fietsen, en om de omgeving te verkennen.

De historische stad Malmesbury ligt op slechts 1,6 km afstand en het pittoreske Tetbury ligt op 6,5 km afstand en biedt een heerlijke selectie antiekwinkels, delicatessenzaken en restaurants. Cirencester ligt op slechts 16 km afstand en de Romeinse stad Bath is ook gemakkelijk bereikbaar. Nabijgelegen attracties zijn onder andere Westonbirt Arboretum, Berkeley Castle, Highgrove en The Cotswold Water Park, dat een scala aan watersporten en andere activiteiten biedt. Bekende lokale evenementen zijn Badminton Horse Trials, de Tetbury Woolsack Race, Gatcombe en Badminton Horse Trials. Er zijn ook regelmatig evenementen in de Beaufort Polo Club en Westonbirt Arboretum.

De accommodatie biedt twee slaapkamers - een tweepersoonskamer met een eigen badkamer en een slaapkamer met twee eenpersoonsbedden met een aangrenzende doucheruimte. De open keuken en woonkamer zijn goed uitgerust met een elektrische oven, magnetron, vaatwasser en koelkast. Er is een aparte hal en een bijkeuken met een wasmachine en droger. Er is een klein privéterras buiten, dat uitkijkt over de vallei van de rivier. Off-road parking voor 2 auto's, fijn katoenen beddengoed en handdoeken, vloerverwarming en gratis wifi inbegrepen. Spijt niet roken. Een hond welkom. Locatie: winkel een mijl afstand, lokale pub op loopafstand.

Beautiful, spatious home, suitable for family and friends, very quietly and well located.

Brand new, stylish and tasteful with lots to do for a family on holiday nearby. Close to nice villages like Tetbury and Malmesbury and within 45 minutes of cities like Bath. Very clean and well equipped too!

Pretty Country Cottage

We had a lovely few days at Stable Cottage. Situated in a pretty, quiet country location, close to Malmesbury and Tetbury. Worth a visit. The cottage was comfy and well equipped. We will be booking again.

Great location for a quiet country break

Myself, my wife and our two dogs stayed at Stable Cottage over Christmas 2022. It’s a perfect location for a quiet break with beautiful countryside on your doorstep. Malmesbury is just down the road and a pretty little town with all the amenities you need and some good pubs. Hugo was a good host and the property itself is comfortable and well stocked with the basics - toilet roll, dishwasher tablets, iron and board, etc. Also a washing machine which came in very handy with the terrible weather. A couple of things which could be improved, such as the sink coming away from the wall in the main bathroom and the toaster sets off the smoke alarm, so maybe a new one is in order? Overall very happy with our stay and would book again.

Excellent property and location

Everything went smoothly regarding the renting of this very nice property, the owners were friendly and helpful, the only problem we had was a very hot shower which the owners had mentioned to us on arrival and they are getting a Plummer in the next few days, we’ve one suggestion which is an observation not a complaint and that is add some bird feeders in the wooded area outside to attract the wildlife even more.

A week's stay with a 3 year old

We had a great time staying at this lovely cottage. It is definitely one of the cleanest properties we have stayed at. We loved the open plan living downstairs and this really helped us as we had our 3 year old with us. They even had a few toys and books for her to play with which was nice. We really like the fact that the property had a washing machine and dryer as this meant we didn't have to take back dirty laundry with us and meant we could pack lightly and re-use our clothes. The views from the cottage are gorgeous and we really felt relaxed. The cottage itself felt very cosy. We ordered Hello Fresh meals to the cottage for our dinners and it was super easy to cook as the kitchen was well equipped. There is a Waitrose and Coop nearby which was very handy as we were able to stock up the fridge with groceries as soon as we arrived. Overall, we highly recommend this place.

Lovely Stay

We had a lovely time at Stable Cottage. Booking was straightforward and Hugo sent us useful information in advance. The cottage is in a secluded area with great views of the countryside. The owners were friendly and polite but never intrusive which was ideal for us. We visited Westonbirt Arboretum which was great, we walked 14km but easy to do shorter walks if you like. Lunch was easy there with covered outdoor seating. We also did an 11km walk around Tetbury which was fun. Our 7 year old daughter enjoyed all the walking and bike riding we did in the local area. The cottage was exactly as described, clean and well equipped. We would recommend it to anyone.

An excellent stay

Stable Cottage is a great find. The accommodation was exactly like the photos, if not better, with plenty of room for 2 adults and a crawling baby and very clean and well equipped. A lovely rural location but with easy access to local towns. Have recommended to friends already.

Fantastic property!

We were so impressed with this property, it was really homely and comfortable and was in a lovely peaceful location. We all felt very relaxed there. Perfect place for secluded stay!

We loved our stay here! My kids had the best time walking the property and seeing the animals. The property is very secluded and private. We all loved the peace and quiet and the town of Malmsbury was wonderful.
