Lekker ontbijt.
Uitstekend ontbijt, goede locatie en jacuzzi met uitzicht op de skipiste. Kamers zijn ok, maar niet bijzonder.

Fijne plek gedateerd interieur
Bij aankomst leek het of t hotel verbouwd werd en gesloten was ivm werklui die de voorkant aan het repareren waren...., Ontvangst zeer hartelijk en behulpzaam Helaas geen lift . Je koffer drie etages meeslepen op hoogte was best een uitdaging. Het is een gedateerd hotel op prima plek voor de wintersport. Voor de zomer een rustige plek. Heerlijk geslapen. Ontbijt matig. Een make-over austrian style kan geen kwaad.

Quite average, did not reach my expectations
The hotel has a very wintery feel to it, te room was good, not very cosy even though there was a fireplace. Definitely needs a remodelling. The on site restaurant was quite expensive so we ate somewhere else. We had to leave early, and when we asked about breakfast we got told that we would be missing that, which is fair enough, but an offer for an alternative would have been nice.

geen prettige overnachting
Kamer op de derde verdieping. Bagage met o.a. twee zware koffers helemaal naar boven tillen. Geen lift. Alles eet-verdachtig spul uit de auto i.v.m. inbraak door beren. Geen gescheiden balkon; daardoor weinig privacy. Buurman kon zo binnenlopen. Uitzicht was prachtig. Dinner was matig. Mijn vrouw bestelde ijsbergsla, met tomaatjes, kaas en radijsjes. Kreeg gewoon een halve ijsbergsla doormidden gesneden met wat kaasfrutsels er boven op; twee schijfjes radijsjes en een half tomaatje. Kostte rond 14 dollar. Ontbijt was matig. (is gewoon in USA). Hadden kamer met een "huttub" besteld. Was er maar 1. Moesten die met andere gasten delen. Wifi erg langzaam en viel soms uit. Prijs per kamer was aan de prijzige kant. Al met al een tegenvaller.

Austria Lodge
Een ruime lodge aan de voet van een bosrijk gebied ten oosten van Yosemite. Gebruikt op doorreis vanuit Las Vegas naar Yosemite. Goed uitgangspunt voor bezoek aan Mono-lake, ghost town Bodie en Tioga pas. De lodge is ruim ingericht met vele voorzieningen. Kleine pool en spa om de hoek. In onze bezoekperiode vrij rustig maar waarschijnlijk in de winter drukker vanwege ligging aan voet van ski-gebied.

Charmant hotel
Austria Hof is een schattig hotel in Mammoth Lakes. De kamers zijn netjes, niet al te groot maar met een heerlijk bed. Het personeel is vriendelijk, het wordt gerund door een echtpaar. Ontbijt is prima, dat zie je op niet veel plekken in Amerika. De muren zijn wel een beetje dun.

Great hotel close to canyon lodge. The hotel room is dated but does give a cozy mountain cabin feel. The main attraction is how close it is to canyon lodge so you can just walk there in the morning for first tracks. The bar and restaurant are also huge pluses with great food and drinks.

Thank you for the reviewe. You are correct that our offsite larger condos do include an additional cleaning fee, just like VRBO, Homeaway and most condos on the Expedis site. We do not charge any cleaning in our hotel rooms. Parking is also free at the unit unit you booked but incurs and additional fee if you choose to park at the slope side lodge. I assume the staff issue was directly as result of your diss-satisfation with issues that you experianced and can only say that our staff will treat you as courteously as they are treated.

this is not the property that we were promised by expedia but also not from reception staff. we booked this place with the understanding from the map that this property was located right off the chair lift Mammoth Mountain. we even tried to check in at 2pm and no mention after discussing location and parking, We were told to checking after 4pm afterwards we were checked in to an offsite location are 0.5 miles away from the closest ski lift

Thanks foor the review. We are very clear and it is clearly listed under Important information that check in time is 4 pm. The unit you booked also specifically says Offsite condo, .5 miles to slopes. Please read before booking next time as you obviously failed to read the most imppertant aspects regarding your booking.

We loved it
We loved it. We were on the top Floor had a small balcony kept the door open to the balcony Al night and it was lovely. The place is older but well cared for and super clean. There are stairs so if you have issues with stairs it might not be a good place for you. But overall we loved it. Oh the beds and linens were great too.

I could hear people talking in the other rooms and reception area. The room needs to be updated. Dirty carpet. I didn't know their restaurant wasn't open in the fall until I got there. Very old plumbing. I could hear when someone uses the bathroom. The free breakfast very limited and poor quality.

The reception staff was very welcoming and friendly. Check-in was quick and easy and my room was clean and quiet. Nice queen sized bed with a larger mini-fridge and microwave.I enjoyed my stay and had a wonderful dinner Monday night. The restaurant hostess was friendly and attentive. The only downside for me (I say in jest) is there are a lot of stairs and I'm no spring chicken. Great job!

Great place in mammoth, right next to the lifts. When not ski season, great place to stay. If ski season, just walk to the lifts, only 100 feet away!!! Clean, quite and comfortable. Would stay again, great restaurant on the first floor w/ bar!
