Dit is zeker een van de beste hotels waar we reeds verbleven. Het eten is gewoon super lekker en er is meer dan voldoende variatie. Het personeel is super vriendelijk en iedereen doet zijn best om je in het engels te helpen. Enig puntje van verbetering zijn de shows waar iets meer afwisseling kan gebeuren. Dagelijks professionele dansers aan het werk zien is uiteraard niet slecht maar soms is het leuk eens een andere act te bekijken. Leuk trouwens dat de dansgroep ook regelmatig animatie bracht aan het zwembad.

Goed tot zeer goed maar geen echt vakantiegevoel
Het is echt een super hotel niks op aan te merken maar persoonlijk vond ik de sfeer nogal stijf en wat niet kan vind ik is dat de swimm up room bij ons verblijf de ganse dag id schaduw zich bevond nog nergens meegemaakt dus de meerprijs was het zeker niet waard

Alles an diesem Hotel war einfach perfekt. Die Anlage wirkt hochwertig, ruhig, sauber und modern. Das Personal war ausnahmslos freundlich, aufmerksam und höflich. Das All Inclusive angebotene Essen war sowohl im Palmyie Buffetrestaurant als auch im von uns besuchten Levante A La Carte Restaurant von sehr guter Qualität, die Bar war gut sortiert und die Atmosphäre dort sehr angenehm und niveauvoll. Auch der Wellnessbereich konnte auf ganzer Linie überzeugen. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis in der Nebensaison war erstklassig, wir haben dort sehr viele Stammgäste mit zum Teil 20 und mehr Aufenthalten kennengelernt und können sehr gut nachvollziehen, warum sie immer wieder kommen.

Im großen und ganzen war der Aufenthalt für 10 Tage in Ordnung. Das Personal im Barbereich war ziemlich unfreundlich und lies den Streß an uns Besuchern raus was wir schade fanden, Zimmer war ok mit Aussicht auf den Pool, wenn man jedoch mal früher ins Zimmer geht also vor 23.00 Uhr kann man nicht zur Ruhe kommen da es extrem laut ist aufgrund der Musik, die Livemusik war schrecklich, das Personal an der Rezeption war ebenfalls nicht gross freundlich gegenüber uns und diese hörten uns teils auch nicht wirklich zu. Als wir angekommen sind mussten wir mit langen Wartezeiten rechnen da unser Zimmer noch nicht mal bereit war. Die Speisen und Getränke waren super und sehr qualitativ. Eine Reise von 5min vom Hotel bis zur "Shopping Strasse" kostete 10 Euro egal mit welchem Taxi, was ziemlich überteuert ist für das am Schluß 2-4 Läden zu Besuchen sind. Die Poolbar war abwechslungsreich in der Getränkemenuliste, die Becher und Gläser jedoch sehr schmutzig mit Restbestanden und teils auch verrostet. Die Arbeiter welche Bilder von den Kunden machen möchten wirkten EXTREM aufdränglich und kamen sehr viel zu uns als wir die Ruhe genießen wollten, nach mehreren Aussagen das wir keine Bilder machen wollen machten sie jedoch weiter was wir als sehr nervig empfunden haben. Alles andere war okay..

I wish I could give them five star because for an all inclusive hotel it is exceptionally clean and calm and the food quality and selection is unbelievable the best I ever had but some of the reception staff were rude. Upon our checking in the receptionist scanned our passports and its not a common practice in other countries my son asked why the receptionist shouted at him like he was not allowed to ask why. It was a terrible first impression my son was pushing me to get back home as it was a very strange experience checking in a five star hotel.

Another Great Stay! But too many cats!!!
This is my second time staying in Acanthus, Side. I came back this year to Turkey just to stay in this hotel. The main staff are amazing, always helpful and friendly, the food terrific and the buffet changes regularly. Everywhere is so clean and the all inclusive policy is fantastic, even a free mini-bar in the room, replenished daily! I have noticed a big increase in the roaming cat population since my last visit. EVERY time I sat down to eat outside or have a coffee, or a drink, there were cats already sitting on the seats, or looking at me, from below, for food (even though there are signs not to feed the cats everywhere, they obviously expect to be fed). I could see some guests, esp. children, seemed to enjoy the cats, but it does not feel so hygienic as sometimes there is cat hair around (but still mostly very clean). BTW I like animals. I was also disappointed that, at check-in, they said I was not entitled to a room upgrade, as a Hotels.com Gold Member, even though it clearly states it on their site and also on my booking. I had to ask for the manager. Then they tried to say there were no higher level rooms available, even though I could show them the site advertising all room types that day. Grudgingly they gave me an upgrade. It was much appreciated, but would have been nicer if it had been given automatically, as I was entitled to it. It does highlight benefit of having Hotels.com membership! Still one of my favourite hotels.

Happy in paradise
Fabulous Hotel , great food cocktails and luxurious rooms. Service exceptional and the food in the Safir restaurant was fantastic. Our room had partial sea view and the only criticism is we looked directly onto rooms opposite . I would recommend full sea view rokms which do not have this minor issue . All in all a fabulous two night break.

Барут - отличная сеть, уже третий раз останавливаемся и очень довольны. Потрясающая кухня в основном ресторане, чисто везде, приятный дизайн, отличный большой вечерний бар с большим ассортиментов напитков. Территория организована очень хорошо. Хорошие фитнес-зал, пляж и променад. В целом хороший сервис. Немного дёгтя: очень плохие рестораны алякарт (как ни странно при отличном основном ресторане) и СПА-центр. Спасибо вам, Барут, приедем к вам ещё. Всем удачи.

The hotel is very clean, modern and serene setting for a holiday away. You get to experience wonderful food that alternates daily. There’s something every night that will be to your liking. We went away with children and the hotel goes out of the way to ensure the kids are happy and have food that suits their needs. On request, we were made toast, chicken and noodles for our children when they missed buffet times or wanted to eat their familiar favourites. Ahmet was our favourite waiter, hardworking and good with children. The head chef was also kind and accommodating to our needs, especially as we had toddlers. The food and beverage manager, Mr Hassan was super considerate and went out of his way to support us in the hotel and with our efforts to support the Turkish people who were staying in a nearby hotel and were affected by the earthquakes. He went above and beyond and is a true asset to the hotel. A genuine, lovely and caring man. Another employee who needs recognition is Jasmine. She works in the kids club. She runs the club alone and does it with a great attitude. She has a real passion for working with children and that shines through. Our little ones looked forward to seeing Jasmine and she always treated them like they were special and she makes every child feel that way. I would like to note that out of all the facilities provided at the hotel the kids club should be invested in further. It needs higher quality resources and varied activities.

The staff, food, and cleanliness were excellent. However, the Instagram page appears to have a playground, and this is not the case for this hotel. They are advertising these amenities in this hotel where in fact they are in another hotel from the Barut Collection(Hemera). Resulting in a slight disappointment in the enjoyment of our stay for my son. A big positive was the two employees from the KidsClub as they made my son's vacation a bit better due to the lack of the above-mentioned amenities.

Fantastic overall!
Wasn’t sure if it would live up to all the positive reviews but it really does! Have stayed in hundreds of hotels but overall experience here was well up with the best, and at a much lower price. They don’t sacrifice quality for quantity as it’s all inclusive. All the time being asked what you’d like to drink, even on the beach in front. Staff always cheerful. Food choice and quality also excellent most days. Some small issues such as fact it lacks any internal atmosphere, as it’s all about the pool and gardens. Lobby is boring and long functional spaces abound. Also a pity the balconies with sea view, which cost more, have narrow bars making it feel like a jail cell. Better to have glass barriers like penthouse suites above and many other good hotels now. Also be warned the water sports operators on the beach charge Acanthus guests more. Better to say you are staying in one of the three star hotels, as you have to give hotel name. Highly recommend the paragliding. Very safe. Highlight of beach time. Enjoy your stay. Will definitely be back!

I originally booked this as a surprise for my fiancé's birthday. For both of us, it was our first time going on a "relax" or beachy type holiday. I am a pretty well traveled person, but this hotel was honestly the best hotel I have ever stayed in. The food of course was fabulous, and with loads of variety to choose from. I am only sad I could not eat everything! Every part of the hotel feels luxurious and all the staff members are incredibly nice and far more genuine than I have seen at other hotels. If you want to do a bit of sightseeing there are many thing within walking distance. The only thing for me was the drinks, which I often found to be too bitter for me when they should have been sweet. However it didn't change my opinion of the hotel. I am excited to visit the other three hotels in the Barut Collection as well as return to this one.

The property was excellent, and the staff fantastic. Particularly in the restaurants, everyone was extremy friendly and helpful. The food quality was also outstanding, including the main buffet restaurant, and varied every day. Our 2 year old was welcomed everywhere.

Exceptional
Such an amazing stay at this hotel. The attention to detail was top notch. Everything was clean and COVID protocols were very high. The food was exceptional, we tried the a la carte restaurants three night and every meal was a delight. The buffet had numerous options with new things to try daily and more importantly, the service. Special mention to the team at Lavanta, Safran and guest relations. This was a Honeymoon trip but we did not mention because we did not want the service to be about special treatment, yet it was that level we got. We were a youngish couple compared to most guest but found ways to entertain ourselves. The indoor pool was stellar, the spa was gorgeous and the walks on the promenade were special. The sunsets alone were worth the visit.
