Beruchte buurt
Wij kwamen in de nacht aan in Manilla en hadden de volgende dag alweer de vlucht naar Palawan en verbleven om die reden in de buurt van het vliegveld. Maar achteraf gezien was het misschien toch verstandiger om in het centrum te zitten. De plek waar het ligt is namelijk erg berucht. De dichts bijzijnde seven eleven is op 300 meter afstand. De hoofdstraat waar het hotel ligt is erg donker en heeft vrij weinig straatverlichting. Er hangen vele arme mensen in de straat. Je begrijpt natuurlijk wel als je met je koffers en rugtas door die straat loopt op dat tijdstip dat je al makkelijk een prooi bent voor beroving. De hotelkamer was prima. Lekker basic en prima bedden. Het personeel was overigens wel heel vriendelijk en betrouwbaar. We waren ook erg tevreden met hun service. Het is alleen jammer dat ze in zo een beruchte straat zitten.

Hotel geboekt als overnachting tussen 2 vluchten 1 (geland 23:30, volgende vlucht 8:30). Voor dit doel prima. Hotel op paar minuten rijden, vriendelijk personeel en zeer basic maar prima kamer. Airco maakt veel geluid en is niet erg koel. In de buurt niet veel te doen. Wifi werkt alleen bij receptie. Advies: Voor een paar uur slaap tussen vluchten door prima, anders niet doen.

Mijn verblijf was okay in het hotel.Minpuntje waren de prijzen van het eten en drinken in het hotel.Die lagen een stuk hoger dan de gemiddelde prijzen daar. Voor de rest niet op aan te merken !!

Great price for overnight stay. Staff were friendly, airport shuttle very convenient and cheap. In house massage was very good. Make sure you get a room away from street side unless you don’t mind the noise. A few tiny cockroaches but it’s the Philippines lots of them around. If you’re on a budget. This is the place.
