This place is absolutely gorgeous and peaceful and perfect. Love love. And downtown able to just walk and see the town. Mark was great. Clean place. So cozy. I love Love it. It’s unique. Close to coffee . Can’t wait to stay again. Loved the big windows and lounge couch. It’s a 10 for me.

Beautiful vintage apartment, fully stocked and very clean and quiet. The Sleepy Eye Coffee shop next door is a fabulous bonus! They have excellent coffee and food items. Only caution is that the stairs leading up to the apartment are long and steep - could be very difficult for anyone with mobility issues. Same thing for the tub/shower, as it is difficult to get in and out of if that is something you struggle with. Other than that, this is a perfect place to stay if you are in the Sleepy Eye/Springfield/New Ulm area! Owner was very responsive and helpful. Highly recommend!

Charming

My boyfriend and I stayed in Sleepy Eye for a family reunion and the location was perfect, had everything we needed, plus the extra charm of feeling at home. It was lovely!

Another great stay in this retro downtown Sleepy Eye rental. Mark is a very responsible host. This is my fourth stay at his rentals. The rental is spacious for getaways with the girls or just my husband. Get location for roaming downtown and a great breakfast or later drinks at the Pix. It is quickly becoming my go to when staying in Sleepy Eye!

Darling vintage apartment two doors from a wonderful coffee/brewery shop. A great base from which to explore other towns in the vicinity.

Great 50s vibe

It was a great place to stay. Next door to the movie theatre turned coffee house and craft beer place. Would highly recommend.

This was really awesome, like a little home away from home for our family to get settled while we searched for own actual home in the area. Mark was great, and really made sure we were taken care of and had everything we needed.

Great Little Hideaway in the Middle of the City

Very clean and lovely apartment equipped with everything you may need. A good bed and nice bathroom - appear to have many rustic upgrades. Great host and there if you need him, In the heart of Sleepy Eye but still tucked away for privacy. We had a great stay!

Went to Sleepy Eye for a fundraising run from the brewery in town. This is the perfect place because it’s right next door. I was able to make dinner and breakfast, binge-watch my wife’s show, have a video meeting and learn about the history of the town and area. The unit is upstairs. I was greeted by old time architecture, rich woodwork, and a sense of relaxation. 10” high baseboards, classic French doors, massive kitchen cabinets. The Kuereg coffee was welcome and I was able to go downstairs to the coffee shop for my wife’s frothy ‘request’. The oak floors squeak and the claw foot tub with the shower curtain adds character. My suggestion? Give it a try. Classic small town charm.

Lovely property and would love to stay again if we are in the area! My husband and both loved that the apartment is appropriately decorated to remain historical yet has modern-day items we all rely upon. There was just one k-cup for coffee and we just wanted to wake up and sip on a hot cup of brew without leaving. That was the only thing that we would change other than we did feel bad anytime we went up and down the stairs because we didn’t want to disturb anybody with the echo of the wooden stairs. We arrived around 7:30pm and only the local gas stations were open for needed items. We had to go the next day to get items. In the future I’d make sure to bring coffee and some evening and morning groceries so we could enjoy the modern day amenities inside this pretty apartment without leaving for meals. Wonderful, responsive host! Thank you!

Happy with stay

except for the stairs, we were very satisfied with the stay. The place was very clean and comfortable and was as it was advertised- very retro. Would recomend for those who have no stairs limitatioins.

Little House Journey

Traveled to Minnesota to visit Little House On The Prairie. Found awesome place to stay in Sleepy Eye. Apartment is awesome. Highly reccomend! Coffee shop is good too. Drive to Walnut Grove is easy. No complaints.. Go to Sleepy Eye Baseball Park. Babe Ruth was there in 1922.

Located In the heart of uptown Sleepy Eye

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location was central to everywhere we wanted to visit. We enjoyed lovely weather and most locations were within walking distance of our lovely little apartment. The only downside was the road construction and the construction of the Pix expansion directly beneath us. The sounds of equipment being used woke us at 5:45 a.m. one morning as the crew were finishing for the evening and was the reason I gave a 4 star rating rather than 5. The expansion to the Pix will be a great addition once it is completed. We hope to return!
