Slapen Bear Dunes Cottage on the Lake

Een onlangs gerenoveerd huisje gelegen aan Little Traverse Lake. Je kunt vissen op bas, baars, snoek en bluegill in Little Traverse Lake. De perfecte afstand tussen alles! Gelegen op 9 mijl van Glen Arbor en 9 mijl van Leland. Mooie Little Traverse Lake ligt op een steenworp afstand van de deur. . Het huisje heeft alles wat u nodig heeft voor uw verblijf. Omvat alle beddengoed, handdoeken, servies, grill-apparatuur, een vuurplaats en buiten zitplaatsen. Internet en kabel zijn beschikbaar. Er is een openbare bootlancering als u uw eigen boot wilt meenemen, er is een aanlegsteiger. Neem gerust je kajaks of paddleboards mee; kan direct voor de deur worden gelanceerd. Er zijn 2 dubbele kajaks en een roeiboot die je gratis kunt gebruiken. Direct aan de overkant van Markt 22; een kleine markt waar je alles kunt krijgen wat je nodig hebt, van bier en wijn tot ijs, ijs en GEWELDIGE pizza, broodjes en ontbijt. Een Market 22 voucher verzilverbaar voor eten is inbegrepen bij elke huur.

I recently stayed at this lakeside cottage in Michigan with my family, and we had a fantastic time. From the start, everything matched the online description—clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The peaceful setting made it easy to relax and enjoy some quality time together.One of the best parts was the access to the lake. The property included kayaks and boats, which made it easy to enjoy the beautiful waterfront. We also really appreciated the safe fire pit and the wood that was provided—we ended most evenings around the fire, which became a highlight of our stay.Everything at the cottage was in good working order, and it was clear the owners take great care of the place. We had one minor issue during our stay, and the owner responded quickly and professionally, which we really appreciated.The price was another big plus—very reasonable given the location, amenities, and overall quality of the experience. It truly felt like a great value.We’re already looking forward to coming back next year. It’s not easy to find a place that gets everything right, but this one did. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable lakeside getaway.

We love this location - right on the water and easy to pop into Glen Arbor, Leland or drive to Suttons Bay / TC for more exploration. The cottage was perfect for myself, my husband, and our pup. Everything was as described and it felt very clean upon arrival. 10/10 would recommend.

Cute cabin, just a few steps from Little Traverse Lake. There were kayaks & paddle boards for our use. The water in front of cabin was about 2 1/2 feet deep so the sun warmed it up nicely for wading or enjoying a float. The kitchen has plenty of dishes, pots & pans, serving utensils, glasses & silverware for 2 people. The 2 bedrooms have a small Jack n Jill bathroom between them. Both bedrooms have a very small dresser. The larger bedroom has an open closet & bedside table. The mattress was very soft & not that comfortable. The smaller bedroom’s mattress was firmer & more comfortable. That bedroom has wall hooks. There was a trundle bed under the bed in the smaller bedroom. The living room also has a twin size sleeper sofa & a recliner. Both are comfortable and appear fairly new. There is a small table with 4 stools for dining by the kitchen and a picnic table on the deck. We enjoyed using the fire pit & the free firewood was so nice! There are torches on the corners of the deck but the fuel containers were empty. Melanie was kind enough to bring us fuel for those which we really appreciated. We enjoyed the great views of the lake, beautiful sunsets and watching the ducks and geese. Also toured the lighthouse, hiked the Empire Bluff trail, explored Glen Arbor & had a great dinner across the road at Market 22. It was a great week!Also appreciated that we could bring our dog.

Great on-the-water cabin

The is cabin on the water was a great experience for our 4 vacationers. Lake was beautiful. Kayaks were fun. Sunset was spectacular every night. Added bonus was the absolutely delicious Market 22 right across the street. Mel was a wonderful hostess. Would most certainly stay here again.

Quaint Lakeside Cabin

Beautiful location on Little Traverse Lake! The cabin had all the necessary amenities and an amazing view from the living room. We were close to many beautiful destinations in Sleeping Bear Dunes lakeshore and the Leelanau Peninsula. The host was easily available and made checking in and out simple for us. We would definitely stay here again!

Fantastic place to stay

Cottage was quite nice. Upgraded floors and furniture from last time we stayed a few years ago. Perfect for a small family of four. Clean and well kept. Everything you need to cook home cooked meals. 5 stars. Will stay again next time we’re in the area.

Beautiful Lakeside Cottage

Amazing place to stay right on the lake. The owners are wonderful and the cottage has everything you need for a perfect getaway. The deck overlooks the lake and the fire pit has wood stocked for use. Close to multiple small towns for great food. Wineries and hiking too. If you stay- dont miss out on Market 22 across the street for incredible food! They also have a small market for local wine and beer. This was our 3rd stay here and we will definitely be back again!

Peaceful cabin on the lake

Had a wonderful time at the cabin. Perfect location between Leland, Glen Arbor and Maple City. Cabin was clean and perfect for our little getaway. Watching the lions, ducks, and a bald Eagle made it even more special. Highly recommend staying at this can. The host (Melanie) got back to us to answer our questions and went above and beyond our expectations.

This was the perfect location for our annual fall family color tour! The property was perfect for our family of 4. The location was stunning! To be so close to the water and have coffee on the deck was wonderful. We really enjoyed the cozy fireplace. And the restaurant across the street is an absolute gem! Fantastic place to stay

Mel’s cottage is just as described. It is a cute little cottage on a beautiful lake. The restaurant right across the street is a great place for pizza, a snack, breakfast or a drink. The area is loaded with things to do. Traverse City is just close enough to be accessible and far enough to be away from the crowd.

Memorial Day weekend perfection!

This was my second stay at the little Cottage. It is just such a perfect location for the abundance of things one can do in Leelanau county. Came here to participate in the Bayshore Marathon ( 30 minutes to the starting line) but wanted to be by the water for the rest of the weekend! My dog and I love it.
