Great Keys Home
This is a great "Keys" house for 2 families. A total of 8 people, ages 10 to 45. We had plenty of room inside and out. Washer & dryer worked great. All the beds we're ever comfortable. And kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. The pool was extra nice especially because the ocean was too cold to enjoy since we where there for New Years. We brought our own boat which is a must for us. I dont think I would even want to go without one. Boat Rentals are everywhere there. The fishing was great. We saw a ton of dolphin while out fishing and a Manatee showed up on our last day. He was huge! Which made our trip that much worth it. We went to eat by boat at Burdines. I highly recommend this place. It was delicious. I wouldn't change a thing. Rhonda was wonderful to work with. I couldn't ask for anyone better. Thanks again for letting us rent your home. 😍

Alot of small trash front yard. No curtains or privacy in kitchen and living room. had to wait for cleaning lady at check in. Cleaning lady was dropped off 1hr 10min before check out and was standing outside with her equipment.

Fabulous vacation rental
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sea Salt cottage. Rhonda was quick to respond to any questions or for dining recommendations which were also listed in the welcome pkg. Florida Steak and Lobster was our favorite! Easy check in and clean. We loved the Tiki hut and pool. Perfect for our 23 ft boat with easy access to Atlantic or gulf if you prefer. Beds were comfy and kitchen had everything we needed. Bonus access to garage to keep our boating/fishing stuff. Bait freezer was great. We will definitely return. Thank you again Rhonda for hosting us!

Amazing vacation!
We had an absolutely wonderful vacation to the Keys with our 4 young children. The house was extremely clean and had everything we needed. Rhonda was a fantastic host and very helpful with suggestions on places to visit and things to do. The kids saw manatees each morning and loved swimming in the pool. As a family we went bridge fishing, saw sea turtles and manatees, participated in a dolphin encounter, day trip to Key West, snorkeled at Horseshoe Beach, relaxed on Sombrero Beach and enjoyed some delicious seafood. Publix and Winn Dixie are also close to the house. Overall this was our best family vacation so far! The house was perfect for our family and in the middle of the Keys so it was close to everything. We did not want to come home and can't wait to visit again!

The keys!
This house is a very nice place to stay. It is clean and in good condition. The owners were great to deal with. The location was great for boating with quick access to the ocean (just follow the well marked stakes through the shallows and you will be fine with any sized boat). We will definitely be back!

We could not have asked for a better place to stay. The house was very clean and had everything we needed. The outside patio and pool was wonderful too. We got to see the manatees outlook which we throughly enjoyed watching ! When we come back to the Keys we will definitely stay here again!

Wonderful Experience at Sea Salt Cottage!!
Sea Salt Cottage is a fabulous house on a beautiful canal leading into the Atlantic Ocean. The pictures don't show all the beauty in this house. My family and I had a wonderful time staying here. We brought our boat along with us and the docking area was great with a cleaning station. There were beach chairs and a cooler for us to use also. The accommodation of this home is amazing. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything that is needed. The owner responded quickly to our questions. Our family truly enjoyed our stay at Sea Salt Cottage. We would surely rent Sea Salt Cottage on our next trip to the Keys. 5 Stars

Roomy, relaxing, and with manatees!
We had a delightful stay at Sea Salt Cottage. The rooms are large, the kitchen is well-equipped, and the tiki hut and pool are great for reading and relaxing. There's some construction taking place on the other side of the canal, but the occasional noise wasn't bothersome. We were especially thrilled to see manatees in the canal -- they may have been the highlight of our trip. Communication with the owner was excellent.

Epic Getaway
This was the perfect house! Extremely clean and equipped. We enjoyed spending most of our time at home under the huge tiki outback and in the pool. Perfect breeze from oceanside. We brought a 25' and 38' boat and had no problems docking or with low tide if you follow the markers and get on a plane. We were able to come in on our 38' with triples at -.18 low tide. The hosts are very accomodating, personable and friendly. Can't wait to return!

Perfect Keys house for a Perfect Keys Vacation
This property was extremely clean and well appointed. The pool was perfect to cool off and relax in. The HUGE covered patio was the STAR of the trip. There was always a cool breeze to be enjoyed under the shade of the enormous lanai! The owners were super helpful, friendly and down to earth. We WILL be back!

Loved Marathon!
We had a wonderful time in Marathon! We loved the house, the proximity to everything in the keys is very nice, the pool and the tiki area were a hit! The communication from Rhonda was very good!!!! She is full of tips as is Jim! Great for first timers to the Keys. House was in great order when we got there and the beach chairs were a great asset for us to have to take to beach. Overall we loved our experience with this property, Rhonda and Jim and would definitely stay there again!

Great guys trip
My son & I had a truly amazing time in Marathon and especially at this property! The owners were incredibly friendly and accommodating during our time on site. They made every effort to ensure we had a great time on our Keys vacation - the home was immaculate and had plenty of room for us to stretch out out and enjoy the surroundings. We rented a 26ft boat which easily fit on the dock and they have a filet station set up with water for cleaning the catch of the day! Only a 5 min ride out of the canal with no bridges into the Atlantic. We will definitely be back next year! Thank you!!

Amazing Place to Stay
We had a great time. Everything you needed, they had. The pool was perfect. The tiki area was amazing to have dinner or just sit and relax. We had manatees several days. One day, there were 9. I've never seen so many at one time. We will definitely stay here again!!

No sleep. Motion cameras on all night and when we tried to cover them, we were told not to. There was also some sort of critter living above the Master Bath that made noise all night long. The pebble rocks are a horrible idea for that setting as they were unavoidably tracked everywhere including on our boat. The lighting in the kitchen and living room was very bad almost prohibiting business work from being done. Very strict rules, expensive for a 2 star place. I would suggest having an ice machine for avid fisherman and boaters which this house caters to. Location is awesome, however the shallow canal offers some challenges during low tide.

The old adage is true that you just can’t satisfy everyone :) For all of our future guests: Please refer to our previous 28 five-star reviews and happy guests that have stayed with us in 2021 and 2022. Our rules, other than no smoking and no pets, reflect the laws set forth by Marathon for our rental license (occupancy, quiet hours, etc). We embrace these rules as they provide safety for guests as well as helping maintain a pleasant experience for all visitors and full-time residents of our beloved islands. Although we welcome and embrace boaters and anglers of all skill levels, we do not claim to cater to this population. We love having visitors of all types and strive to provide the best property that a wide range of guests will enjoy. Our fully disclosed Ring camera is only activated by people and the motion sensed light is very helpful for navigating the side yard/driveway during evening and dark hours, it is unfortunate that this guest who stayed for 14 nights, claimed on night 12 that it was on at night when we are able to see it was not activated during his stay other than when someone from their group was in the side yard and when they attempted to cover it. As a future guest if you have any concerns about the wide and deep canal or the marked channel in open water, which can be shallow outside of the cut, please reach out to us and we can address any concerns that you may have. There are many sizable boats that navigate the canal and channel without any difficulty whatsoever. Our home/yard is treated monthly for pests and checked thoroughly in between guests for any problems or issues but we are also only a phone call or text away should an issue arise; we have a local resident for any issue that needs immediate attention as well as maintenance and service personnel that can be called. Finally, if you are a future guest reading this review, hosting is an endeavor that we truly enjoy, and we have met many wonderful people in doing so. We look forward to having you visit and helping you create your own experiences and memories.

Wonderful house, great host!
House and host were both great! The only issue we had was that no guests are allowed. We had friends staying in another part of marathon but they could not visit. I wish we had known that before we booked. But the host was very easy to reach and went above and beyond to make sure the house was perfect in every way.

Beautiful Home, Wonderful Stay
Our family of four adults had a great time in the Keys while staying at this well-kept property. Photos of the house & grounds were very accurate: clean, plenty of room, nice furniture & well-appointed. We spent most of our time outside under the tiki hut or in the pool. We enjoyed all of the seating choices available outside, including the comfy couch. The beds were comfortable, with a chest of drawers & a large closet in each bedroom. The grill worked fine, just needed to switch propane tanks once while making dinner. Rhonda was a wonderful host from start to finish! She kept in touch, checking in with us a couple times during our stay, to make sure everything was going well. The four of us would not hesitate to rent this house again. :-)

Our FAVORITE House in Marathon
My family has been vacationing in Marathon for about ten years now and we have settled on this house as our go-to for everything we want. The house itself is great. There is plenty of parking for cars and a boat trailer. The canal itself has easy direct ocean access, and it is also a quick trip to sombrero reef for snorkeling. The pool is perfect for a quick swim to get out of the heat. And, as you will see from the other reviews, the Tiki Hut is hard to beat. The outdoor furniture under the Tiki Hut is SO comfortable- I honestly considered sleeping there some nights. Other things this house has that puts it above the rest for me: bait freezer and fish station, grill, pool heat if requested, washer and dryer, garage access for storage, it is one story- so no lugging things up and down stairs. Finally, the owners were so accommodating and communicated constantly to make sure everything with the house was perfect. If your looking at several houses and can't decide- trust me, pick this one.

Tiki Hut Heaven
We can not say enough good things about this property! We had five people in our group and it was more than enough space for us. The place was so clean with plenty of storage to put your clothes away so they didn’t have to spend a week in a suit case. The wild life surrounding the property was such a perk. The manatees came to visit almost every night, and we saw plenty of Iguanas and chickens passing through the yard. Almost all of our time was spent under the tiki hut and in the pool it we weren’t out on the boat. We rented the boat for the week so being able to dock it right at the house with a straight shot to the ocean was amazing ! Great fishing in the area. Rhonda was an amazing host!! BY FAR the best I have experienced in all of my rentals in the past. Her friendly communication and quick responses were above and beyond from recommendations on where to go and eat, to sending the pool guys after a storm so we continued to have a clean pool. WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK ! Especially since I eloped on a near by beach, and spent my wedding night under the tiki hut. I see many anniversary trips here in my future! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Can’t say it enough.

My family had a fantastic 4th of July staying here. The house is clean, fully equipped and decorated beautifully. We loved watching the fireworks from our boat at Sombrero Beach. Another highlight of the trip was when manatee came right up to our boat to drink fresh water. Rhonda is an amazing hostess...highly recommend this house!

My husband and 2 kids (20,18) stayed at this house. It was perfect! Updated, clean and comfortable. We rented a boat and kept it at the house. We saw manatees every day right off the dock wall! So fun! We also rented kayaks and kayaked down the canal to the open water. The pool was refreshing! Great location! I would highly recommend this house! Rhonda was a great host! This Property Blew Our Mind
This was such a nice property in Marathon on the ocean side. For all the fishermen, this is the perfect house for parking the boat behind the house for the week. Easy access to the ocean and minutes away by boats to sister creek and 7-mile bridge. Lots of wildlife behind the house like manatees and mangrove snappers. The pool is the perfect size and the Tikki hut is perfect to hang out outside all day. The inside looks new. This house is well worth the money and the hosts are so friendly and make sure all questions get answered! Thanks again for a great vacation!

This property is exactly as described, if not more. Very well kept home in a perfect location of Marathon. Our kids caught fish off of the dock and really enjoyed the pool. The owners and property manager were available for any questions or concerns. If we come back to this area we would definitely rent this home again!!!!!!
