Lovely, cozy stay
The hosts were excellent at communicating from the beginning through the end. They checked in when we arrived and during to see if we needed anything. This upstairs cottage was clean, well-stocked and nicely decorated with all the light, beach styles that remind us of what we love about Lakeside. Even being here in the winter, we enjoyed the peacefulness of the area. Being off the main road we expected more road noise, but we didn't notice it at all. We had a lovely, cozy stay!

Cute & Cozy
This little apartment is very cute, decorated in a beach theme. It is clean and well stocked with amenities. The stairs were a little much for our elderly mother (mentioned only to warn anyone who may overlook this detail as we did). The yard is well maintained, and there is a beautiful deck with seating to enjoy some time outside. Overall, a nice stay.

We enjoyed the comfortable and coziness of the place. It was on a corner lot but was very quiet. They helped get our luggage up to our place and when bad weather came, they offered for us to stay in basement with them. Very nice people

Race weekend
Two of us stayed in Lakeside for the Ohio 70.3 Ironman event. It was very clean. Kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals. Local restaurants open late which was nice as we arrived after dark. Local grocery store had all we needed. Each bedroom had it's own AC unit which was appreciated. For two adults with bikes and race gear, it was just the right size. Host was very attentive and no issues with our stay.

Adorable property
Really cute place, the bed was pretty comfortable. We appreciated the free toiletries they provided. It was a sweet touch and shows they go above and beyond. Only complaint is the ac didn’t reach the main living area and it got pretty hot. But we still enjoyed our time. We were gone during the hottest parts of the day so it really wasn’t too bad.

Relaxing time at Bird's Nest 2
My friend and I enjoyed our two day stay at Bird's Nest. The location was very convenient to Marblehead and Lakeside. The host included many extras in the kitchen and bathroom. The grounds were lovely. We had a slight problem with the bathroom lights and as soon as we called the host he was right over to solve the problem. We would definitely stay again.

Bird's Nest is the BEST
They did not miss a beat when providing a wonderful place to stay. Every little extra you might have forgotten...was already there for you. Bed was so comfortable and the decorations were darling! The location was easy to find. Loved staying here!

Overall very clean and great location. Beds were very uncomfortable and squeaky. The listing says two queen beds and it’s one queen and one full was did not suit or needs. Great property and outside us beautiful

Sorry you found the beds uncomfortable and loud. We do know the one bed is loud and have since replaced it. Both beds are in fact queens though and in addition to that there is a pull out queen in the sofa. Again, very sorry your stay was not the best, but hope you will give us another chance.

Wonderful Retreat

Beautiful surprise! So nice and well supplied.
Our stay was wonderful! We were on the second floor of the property with a separate exterior entrance. It was newly redone with very comfortable furnishings. We would love to stay again. Traffic noise was bothersome until you got used to it. We walked to the Lakeside entrances. Delightful place to stay!

Everything you need for a quick trip.
The Birds Nest had everything we needed for a quick 4 day stay in Marblehead. The location is perfect for traveling to Put-In-Bay and the ferry lines. It fit our family of four perfectly.

Nice little getaway
My boyfriend and I spent the weekend here for a trip to Cedar Point. We enjoyed ourselves very much so! The only downfall was out of the owner's hands....spiders. As we all know bugs get into homes and so we had an issue with spiders (which we both are afraid of). My biggest recommendation is maybe a larger refrigerator. It was fine for the 2 of us but if you get 4 people staying there the fridge space would be an issue. One of the really nicest things is that a basket of items in the bathroom for health care was provided if you forget something, a few items were in the cupboard of dry foods which I thought was very kind even though we didn't have the need to take advantage of any of the items, and the kitchen had enough kitchenware items that you wouldn't need to bring anything from home. If this rental is available again for these 2 season pass holders we will be arriving again! Thank you again Paul and Pam!
