North Cascades Skagit River Retreat

Vrede en rust aan de poort van North Cascades National Park - minder dan twee uur van Seattle! Ruime houten kathedraalconstructie in een landelijk paradijs.

Vissen van wereldklasse (of kijk gewoon hoe de zalm loopt!) aan de samenvloeiing van de rivieren Skagit en Cascade en topwandelingen in de North Cascades, in de buurt van vele trailheads waaronder spectaculair mooie Cascade Pass en Hidden Lake / Lookout.

Chalet biedt comfortabel plaats aan twee tot zes volwassenen in twee grote slaapkamers (master suite en zolder) plus een slaapbank in de grote kamer. Een extra stapelbed hoekje voor twee personen elk minder dan 150 pond (kinderen, vermoedelijk) brengt het totaal op acht.

Complete keuken en optionele wasruimte, op loopafstand van Marblemount om te dineren en winkelen.

Weekendtarieven zijn niet van toepassing op een verblijf van vijf dagen of langer.

The Rainbow House in Marblemount was one of the most memorable stays our family of six has ever had. The home is cozy, spotless, and beautifully maintained. Upstairs, there are two bedrooms—one with a bunk bed and another with two double beds and a connected bathroom with a tub. The kids loved watching the sunset from the upstairs porch and were thrilled to spot a fawn and her doe several evenings in a row. Downstairs features another bedroom and a bathroom with a walk-in shower, which became our preferred spot for bathing. The kitchen had everything we needed, and the living room was perfect for unwinding after full days of exploring. The laundry area, located in the detached garage, was a huge bonus—especially with an extra toilet available there. There is also a separate rental unit attached to the garage, but even if occupied, the layout is well-designed and still feels very private. The laundry is shared between the two units on a first-come, first-served basis, but we were the only renters and wouldn’t anticipate any issues even if it were shared. The space is thoughtfully planned—just be courteous if both units are in use, again total private spaces. The home is just minutes from the North Cascades entrance and is well-equipped with AC and fans to keep things cool and comfortable. We highly recommend the Rainbow House—it exceeded all expectations. The pictures don’t do it justice, and we’d return in a heartbeat!

Lovely Property

This is a beautiful property and a great location for exploring North Cascades NP and the surrounding area. The pride of ownership shines through from initial reservation to final departure. The owner provided very detailed and clear information prior to check in. The property was very clean, well maintained and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped and no detail was overlooked. The beds were comfy and the area is very peaceful and quiet. There are a few good restaurants very close by. We would definitely stay here again.

Week in North Cascades

This cabin was the perfect spot to enjoy the North Cascades area from. Cabin was very well stocked with everything you would need to cook with, beds were comfortable and the downstairs shower was amazing. We were even lucky enough to get an amazing view of the Northern lights several nights.

Located close to everything, but far enough to feel like you are in your own private mountain get-away. Wonderfully kept home with everything needed and an incredibly responsive owner. Views of the mountains, and proximity to the river, North Cascades National Park and town were perfect.

Beautiful house with great access to North Cascades National Park. Steve was great and access to the property was easy. The house was very clean and the kitchen was very well equipped. Quiet, clean, well-maintained property with a caring host. We were a large group visiting the Cascades, so we booked the Rainbow House and the Private Annex (see separate review) together. The Rainbow house is beautiful. Room to spread out but easy to spend time together. The kitchen is well stocked with all of the equipment needed to make family meals. It is close to good hiking trails It’s also an easy walk to town where we found good restaurants, a coffee house, and a small grocery store. Perfect!

Absolutely amazing!

We loved our stay at rainbow house and fell in love with the area. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The scenery surrounding the house made relaxing on the porch even more enjoyable. Not far from the park, river, or local stores and restaurants. The house was extremely well stocked and had everything we needed for an enjoyable stay. Steve was responsive and helpful. Rainbow House is in the perfect location for exploring North Cascades National Park. It is also the perfect location and place for a quiet and comfortable vacation. The description and instructions are thorough, the house had everything we needed, and is beautifully furnished and decorated. The grounds/yard are extremely well taken care of.
