Eigen waterkant naar huis

Het huis ligt aan de oevers van de rivier de Chocolay en op iets meer dan 1,5 km van Lake Superior. Het fietspad is gewoon op de weg en er zijn gemakkelijke wandelpaden en sneeuwschoenwandelen direct uit de achterdeur. Meer uitgebreide wandel- en sneeuwschoenroutes liggen op ongeveer 10 minuten afstand. We hebben rivierkajaks en afhankelijk van het waterniveau en de files is het slechts een twee uur durende peddel stroomafwaarts naar Lake Superior. Gelegen op 12 minuten van het centrum van Marquette en 30 minuten van Munising; outdoor en culturele mogelijkheden in overvloed.

We houden van vissen, wandelen, skiën en mountainbiken. U kunt uw fietsen, ski-uitrusting, enz. In de garage opslaan tijdens uw verblijf.

We hebben ons huis net helemaal geverfd en opnieuw ingericht. Er is Wi-Fi beschikbaar en een nieuwe 65 "4K smart-tv in de grote zaal. De koningin slaapkamer heeft een nieuwe traagschuim matras en een flatscreen televisie en een schrijf- / werkruimte.

De hele begane grond is van jou, ongeveer 2.000 vierkante meter met een prachtig uitzicht op de rivier en ramen in elke kamer.

De mini-keuken heeft een kleine gootsteen, een koelkast in de slaapzaal, een broodrooster, een grote koffiepot en een magnetron. Er zijn ook verschillende USB-poorten in de keuken.

U bent van harte welkom in een potje pool en / of een lange hete sauna.

Wish this was my home!

This property and owners are lovely. Everything is immaculate. We were warmly welcomed and treated so well. This is the best experience we have had staying when the owners are also onsite. The backyard is gorgeous; having stayed in summer we certainly were at peak time though I imagine it is beautiful year round.

Polly & Dennis have a beautiful, welcoming, relaxing place! They were wonderful to work with! We will definitely stay there next time we visit the UP! However, we will stay a little longer so we have more time to enjoy their beautiful home ;-)

Perfect getaway!

As first time users to VRBO, we hit the jackpot with this property and the hosts are amazing Polly & Dennis made us feel so welcome and were always available to answer any questions. Even though they do reside on the main floor of the home, we still had plenty of privacy. We gave them 5 stars and they deserved every one. The only issue we had was VRBO itself. There were a few issues through them that had nothing to do with the property owners that eventually worked out, but made us a bit nervous right before our vacation. Our family had a great time and our stay with them exceeded our expectations. We hope to book with them again soon. Thanks again Dennis & Polly!

Summer/4th of July & another great visit!

We have visited Polly & Dennis’s beautiful home/property several times. They are wonderful hosts & are now friends. We are sad each time we have to leave. Beautiful & Cozy Winter Get-Away

We’ve stayed at Dennis & Polly’s a few times, now. They are always so kind & welcoming. This was our first winter stay there. We came to the area to snowmobile. After a day on the trails, we came back to enjoy their beautiful home. The fireplace took away the chill & the sauna was very relaxing, after a day of riding, in the cold temps. It is so beautiful in all seasons!!

Polly and Dennis are amazing hosts with a beautiful property. The only suggestion I have would be to have a door to the basement that could lock for security and peace of mind for guests. Although we felt safe, the way the world “operates” today that extra piece of privacy would be a great addition to the property especially staying with children.

The best hosts!

Dennis and Polly were the best hosts imaginable! They gave us information and helped us with everything. From deciding where to hike, to lighting an evening fire for roasting marshmallows. The property is gorgeous. We didn't quite realize that it was an upstairs/downstairs arrangement, but we would probably have been lost without them. All in all, we had a wonderful stay.

Our stay was fantastic. The property is beautiful, the accommodations are more than adequate, and we can’t say enough about the owners. From the date of booking, communication was clear and they went out of their way to welcome us and to make sure we had everything we needed. We had a great stay at Dennis and Polly's place. The property is well-appointed and spacious and they were super helpful in finding hikes, rides, beaches and restaurants. Perfect UP Family Getaway

Anniversary Getaway

We decided to go to see the Eben Ice Caves and do some winter hiking for our anniversary and found this little treasure in the process! Polly and Dennis could not have been more kind and welcoming. They offered suggestions for places we might like to see as well as places to eat. We arrived late but had a note with instructions and a heated garage to park our car in. This was nice because it snowed quite a bit. Polly left us a lovely anniversary treat!!! The view from our bedroom and the main living area looks over a wooded area. We saw eagles and wild turkeys. The location was convenient to all of the places we wanted to visit. We could not have been more relaxed and comfortable for our trip. We can hardly wait to come back!

Beautiful Scenery and Great Location

We had great communication from the owners before our stay to help us plan activities that we would be able to do at the time of year in advance. We really appreciated all the helpful hints. The space was very clean and my kids loved playing pool. There was even a treat for us to eat. It was chilly when we were there and it was great to relax in the sauna at the end of the day after hiking in the area. We are hoping to stay here again during a different season.
