We have visited Riad Ajmal in december 2019 and we had a great experience. The service and employees are excellent. So kind and helpful. Our host, Nouredinne, was 24/7 available and arranged everything we needed. During our taxi drive from the airport to the riad, we find the city overwhelming and almost a little bit scary. So hectic. But trust me, this is only in first sight. Our host picked us up at the taxi drop off and guided us to the streets to the riad.

Wat was het mooi!!
Heel mooi riad, mooie mensen, midden in de medina, vlakbij alle voorzieningen en sooks. Bijzonder mooie ervaringen en ontzettend behulpzaam en vriendelijk personeel. We hebben het fantastisch gehad en is voor iedereen aan te raden!

Riad is uitstekend bevallen
Riad midden in de Medina perfecte lokatie. Heerlijk dakterras en laat je verwennen in de Hamam van de Riad. Kamers prima en goed ontbijt. Mustapha de gastheer was zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Aanrader!

Fantastische gezinsvakantie
Het was super leuk. Een heel mooie stad waarvan het volk heel barmhartig en behulpzaam is... Dit geldt natuurlijk ook voor het personeel van het hotel. Alles was tip top in orde. Er hing een heel gezellig sfeertje in het hotel. Moest k ooit de kans krijgen om nog eens terug te gaan zou ik dat zeker doen.

Riad Ajmal is een heel mooie, rustige en autentieke riad in midden van de bruisende stad. Alles is makkelijk te voet te bereiken. De kamers zijn heel mooi ingericht en schoon. Het personeel is heel vriendelijk en helpt je bij alle vragen. Zeker een aanrader!

Geweldige Marokkaanse ervaring!
Prachtige schone Riad van Moustafa. Erg vriendelijk, spreekt goed Engels en is behulpzaam. Fatima (vrouw die voor hem werkt) is erg lief en kan goed koken. Aanrader om zeker in de Riad te eten. Eten valt in de stad erg tegen, maar in de Riad is het lekker. De kamers zijn mooi en schoon. Het is het allerleukst om in een Riad te vertoeven, omdat je dan iets meekrijgt van de cultuur en het Marokkaanse leven. De Riad ligt zoals de meesten verscholen in steegjes en achter de deur ligt een oase van rust en kleuren verscholen.

A nice home away from home
Riad Ajmal is a comfortable and convenient home away from home. I really like the cleanliness of the space and the terrace. My room was very spacious and nicely decorated. The staff were polite and friendly the only thing I think needs improving is the breakfast options some days it was good but other days it felt like the food had been prepared the day before and not so fresh.

Equipe aux petits soins ☺️ Délicieux petit déjeuner chaque matin Nous avons pu laver nos vêtements 👍 Le riad se situe dans la médina a une dizaine de minutes de la place Jamaa el Fna, vous trouverez des restaurants à proximité, merci au GPS 😅 La chambre et la salle de bains étaient propre C'est agréable de se poser tranquillement dans la cour ou sur le roof-top après une journée fatigante dans la ville. Le calme règne au milieu de toute cette frénésie citadine 😌 N'hésitez pas 🤗

Perfect intro into Medina Riad living in Marrakech
Nice location, on a quiet part with access to be deeper into the medina. The staff is really friendly & so welcoming. Rooms are typical size for a small riad, comfortable beds and good water pressure which is sometimes hard to find! Would come back for sure, a nice place to stay and a reasonable price.

Service excellent
Le service est excellent! Nous avons été très bien accueillis, la chambre était propre et le petit déjeuner copieux et très bon. Le Riad n’est pas loin du zouk et il y a des restaurants et café aux environs. Le Riad Ajmal a réservé un taxi pour nous ramener de l’aéroport au Riad, le conducteur était ponctuel et très aimable. Au global, très bon rapport qualité-prix. Recommandé !

Leider wurde während unseres Aufenthalts auf der Dachterrasse gebaut, so dass diese nur eingeschränkt zu nutzen war. Man hätte darauf bei der Buchung hinweisen müssen. Das Personal war aber sehr bemüht und hilfsbereit.

Hallo, leider waren diese Arbeit längts vorgesehen, aber hätten fertig sein sollen bei Ihren ankunft. Der Zeitbegriff ist hier etwas anders als in Deutschland. Wie es so schön heist, wie haben die Uhren und die haben die Zeit :-) Ich hoffe ihr habt trotzdem eine schöne Zeit gehabt ! Viele Grüße

L'établissement est très joli et bien entretenu. Il est légèrement excentré mais les grands sites restent largement accessibles à pieds. Le personnel est vraiment génial, ils sont souriants et serviables et très attentifs à votre moindre demande (passez par eux pour toutes réservation (taxi, activités...) car ils négocieront bien mieux que vous ;) ) Enfin, nous avons trouvé la literie un peu dur, mais cela reste une question de goût. Nous y retournerons sans la moindre hésitation et avec plaisir.

The staff was wonderful. We arrived in the middle of the night and they arranged for transport to the riad and checked us in right away. They were very friendly and even played with our 3 yo son.

Riad within the Medina walls
Not a great start when the expected transfer to the Riad wasn’t at the airport so had to get a taxi. The Riad itself was great but the management of the place was ‘relaxed’ to say the least. Stayed for 3 nights. No breakfast on day one, our room wasn’t turned down during our stay and the rooftop terrace was in need of a clean/tidy. Didn’t spoil our trip but the Riad could be great with a little more attention to detail.

Dear Ian unfortunately the driver was seek an the otherone did forget to pick you up. We apologize. But you could have honnestly say that we offer you the transfer from the riad to the airport. For the breaklfast , when you arrived you get an welcom tea but noit the breakfast. That´s normal. You stayed 3 nights and get 3 breakfast. But all rooms are cleaned daily when the guest leave the room. You eat by us and i cannot imagine you´ve done that when you re not satified with the cleanless of the room. Best Regards

Loved our stay and especially the staff!
Myself and a friend stayed in Riad Ajmal for a week this August and had the most amazing time. The neighbourhood feels very safe and quiet. It’s peaceful even though it’s only a walk away from the centre of the city. Our room was a good size and lovely, the A/C was amazing and we especially loved the pool too for cooling down when it got so hot. Our three main hosts made us feel so comfortable in the riad, extremely safe and well looked after. Every morning we were treated to large breakfast in the courtyard by Ahmad, even when we had to leave very early for day trips. He was really friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Fatima cooked amazing food for us- the best tagine we had the entire week (and that’s saying something). And Bety was just an all round star, taking care of us, welcoming us and sharing some of her culture with us. Our relationship with the riad staff and time spent in the riad made our marrrakech trip so special- unlike any other holiday. We would definitely recommend to anyone and we can’t wait to come back!

Hotel en corazón de la ciudad
Es una casa acondicionada para hotel. Tiene detalles muy bonitos en la decoración y el personal que atiende es muy amable y ayuda a resolver cualquier duda o actividad que desea uno realizar. La comida es estupenda (hay que reservar). Está ubicado dentro de la ciudad por lo qué hay muchos callejones.

Beautiful Riad, perfect service
In the old city, around 10 mins walk from the main square, and in a quiet neighborhood on the new town/station/Airport side of the Medina. The hotel is a island of calm in a bustling town. Rooms are traditionally decorated and comfortable. Lovely roof terrace with a view of the Koutoubia mosque minaret. Mustafa the manager and the rest of the staff could not be more welcoming and helpful. Service was excellent. Highly recommended.

Séjour de 10 jours agréables
Nous avons passé un agréable séjour de 10 jours au riad Ajmal qui donne un acces facile à pieds à la place jamaa el fna. Le riad est beau et notre chambre (LABIBA) était spacieuse et propre comme le riad en totalité. Les chambres sont faites tous les jours comme dans un hotel. Le petit déjeuner est copieux avec jus d'orange frais et thé à la menthe ou café, pain, fromage, yaourt, miel, confiture et beurre. Nous recommandons ce riad.

Riad très bien situé, proche de la Médina. Au calme avec un roof top plus qu' agréable. Riad charmant et moderne. Le gérant accessible et de très bons conseils. Un bémol sur les prix excessifs des repas proposés.

Quant aux repas (menus complets!!!),les prix sont adaptés au service à la qualité et la quantité que nous proposons. Et la qualité a un prix ,même a Marrakech ! Bien évidemment, dans la médina, il y des alternatives , mais sans les qualités citées et l´hygiène en moins!

Holiday from hell
We had booked this place for four nights a month in advance but when we showed up we were informed that the place was fully booked and that they would move us to an "even better" riad, which we then had to flee in the middle of the night because the place was so full of mould that we started having breathing problems.

Excellent traditional Riad!
We loved our stay at Riad Ajmal. It is a beautiful, traditional Riad... a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of Marrakech! I particularly liked its location. The Riad is down a rabbit warren of little streets, which is exactly what we wanted, a real experience of the Medina. It is also perfectly located for the souks, restaurants, and within walking distance of the main square and the Koutoubia Mosque. It is also situated very near a taxi rank, which made all our transfers and trips out easy. Mustafa and Bushran (sorry for the spelling) were perfect hosts and made the whole stay very comfortable. The breakfasts were delicious, especially the pancakes, yum! Would definitely recommend and would love to go back one day.

Underwhelming
Chose a Riad to stay in on our second visit to Marrakech but unfortunately it didn't help make our trip memorable.Things got off to a bad start when there was no pick up from the airport despite booking it weeks in advance and sending a reminder email the week before.Repeated calls to the Riad went unanswered until a call back to say 'Had you booked?'!! Waited 45 minutes in the end and to make it worse, there was no reference to it or an apology when we arrived.Considering there was only one other person there not sure how you lose track.Free Wi-Fi is included however, signal was only there when you first enter the room.We had booked a double room which turned out to be twin mattresses joined together and one half was very uncomfortable with squeaky springs.The towels and robe were scratchy and also the lighting in the rooms/bathroom overall was very dim. Breakfast was simple but the exact same thing every day,despite there being numerous bakeries in the local area.It would have been nice to have a different type of bread or some pastries.Some positives- the 2 female staff members are very friendly and helpful,especially as we hardly came across the manager.The place is nice and quiet compared to the hectic streets in the surrounding area and not difficult to find once you get your bearings.It is approximately a 15 minute walk to the main square and there are many shops and cafes along the way.The coffee served at breakfast was very good. Overall,not going to return

Dear Guest, We already apologized, however we want apologies again for the late transfer. Unfortunately as you came, king Mohammed VI was in Marrakech, and it s always a problem, because the streets are closed. When you called we served the breakfast, and, unfortunately we were not fast enough to the phone. Also that's for we apologize, but your certainly can understand . We also could not call you back because you called with hidden number. The breakfast we serve is satisfying the most our guests, and you have the possibility to order specials meals if you want. However we thank you in name our personal, and we appreciate the compliment about quietness in Riad Ajmal. We hope you will come again in Marrakech, and appreciate the red City !

very good location, good service and clean place!!
Amazing stay we wanted even to stay one extra night but there was no aviability ! The Riad is small, nice and clean ! Mr. Mostafa was was always there to help, great person and very professional ! The place is very well located easy to reach! We would definitely go back !

Riad Parfait à prix raisonnable
Le gérant était d'une gentillesse incroyable, le personnel toujours à notre disposition. Le petit déjeuner était Top, il y avait tout ce qu'il fallait pour commencer une Belle journée. Le parfum Du riad Que nous sentions des Que nous mettions les pieds à l'intérieur était très doux. Le calme, le respect de l'intimité d'autrui, La bonne humeur, le bon accueil.... RIAD à recommander à 200% ! De je n'hésiterai pas à y retourner !

Medina Riad
This medina Riad is well placed for exploring the souks and old town. If you are looking for an authentic Riad experience this is perfect- the staff are very helpful and accommodating. We were swept up in the hustle of the medina and went off early one morning without telling them we wouldn't be around for breakfast- only to find out the next day they had been waiting for us all morning! This is an example of the kindness we experienced- and also a note to future travellers, if you won't be there for breakfast let them know! Def recommend staying at Ajmal.

Perfect location - a hidden gem
A basic but clean, friendly Riad. The biggest surprise was the rooftop seating area, and the super-cute domed Spa cubicle (also on the roof) where we undertook hamman. The in-house dinner was declicious, and the Manager was really helpful with tips/arranging taxis. Breakfast was plentiful and always served with grace and a smile. The place is a bit tricky to find, but easy peasy once you get your bearings. Perfect for our 4 night stay as the location is fantastic...the only real downside was no hanging space for clothes in the bedroom (only shelves) and don't expect more than pretty basic amenities, but it has a good shower and fine as a base from which to explore the surrounding areas and absolutely perfect for a quiet night on the roof terrace after a good dinner, or for some spa treatments ('local' hamman, massage). Would certainly stay here again.
