Na een dagje Alberobello bezoeken zijn we hier gaan overnachten. De parking was ruim en veilig door de afgesloten omheining met poort. Het was alleen niet makkelijk om met de koffers tot aan de receptie te geraken met alle trapjes rond het hotel. Vriendelijke medewerkers hebben ons begeleidt naar de kamer. De kamer was ruim. Maar zowel de kamer alsook de badkamer waren aan renovatie toe. WiFi viel mee maar voor de rest was er geen verbinding of internet buiten en in het hotel. Het restaurant had niet veel keuze en was aan de dure kant. We zijn daardoor een paar stadjes verder moeten rijden om iets te eten. Het ontbijt viel mee alleen jammer dat een deel door personeel mocht opgeschept worden en het andere deel dan weer niet. Waar ik het nut dan. Iet van snap. Niet zo veel keuze en terwijl je aan het eten bent komen de mannen van de bediening achter je staan kijken precies of je een examen aan het maken bent in school. Wat heel ongemakkelijk aanvoelde. Er was ook een zwembad maar dat lag aan de achterkant van het hotel. We hebben er geen gebruik van gemaakt en het ook niet gezien.

Mooi onderhouden Masseria
Prachtig onderhouden Masseria (oudere stijl), op een uitgestrekt domein. Voldoende ligstoelen bij het zwembad, zelfs bij 100% bezetting en mooi zwembadweer. Restaurant biedt lekkere gerechten en goeie bediening! Ook ontbijt biedt hartig, fruit, zoet assortiment. Veel keuze. Goeie bedden en matrassen, volledig vernieuwde badkamer. Airco is soms moeilijk te bedienen en geeft met momenten vervelend geluid. Aanrader voor wie houdt van een klassiek hotel met veel voorziening en goede keuken. Auto nodig als je niet te plaatse wil blijven (Martina Franca, eerste stad/dorp ligt op 10 min rijden)

Beautiful peaceful place
We were looking for a place to stay while traveling around and got that and more!!! The place is beautiful and peaceful. It is actually a place where you can stay for a few days just to relax. The rooms are clean and comfy. The amenities are great. Really recommend.

Personnel très gentil, directeur très arrangeant merci encore. L’hôtel est un peu excentré de la ville, idéal pour les personnes voulant être à l’écart et tranquille. Seul bémol, les chambres sont légèrement vieillottes comparées à l’extérieur de l’hôtel qui est magnifique

Good potential but a great miss
The hotel rooms are not suitable for 4 stars hotel. They are very basic. The wireless internet is very bad not allowing to work or watch online TV (as Netflix). The TV channels are only in Italian (same as most of the hotels). Breakfast was quite good. The personal was positive but hadn't solved any problem. Overall it was not an enjoyable stay.

Masseria con maialini liberi
La masseria e' molto bella con grandi spazi, la camera a noi assegnata era ampia e con un balcone condiviso, il materasso comodo. Il problema principale e' stato la ventola del bagno: molto rumorosa e praticamente inarrestabile, di solito nei bagni ciechi la ventola si accende contemporaneamente alla luce, questa invece si attiva con il movimento e dura molti minuti dopo l'uscita dalla stanza, veramente fastidiosa di notte, peccato per la doccia piccola e sottodimensionata rispetto all'ampiezza del bagno, brutti anche gli arredi del bagno non consoni ad un 4 stelle anche se in camera economica. Un po' fastidiosi i rumori provenienti da una vicina pista di go-Kart. La cosa piu' bella e' stata vedere dal balcone verso sera dei maialini neri liberi di girare nel parco della masseria. La colazione a buffet, varia ed abbondante in una bella sala, il ristorante bellissimo dentro ad una serie di trulli. Nel complesso una bella struttura.

struttura molto bella, ma la piscina che potrebbe essere il fiore all'occhiello della struttura e' presa d'assalto da bambini e da genitori altamente maleducati trasformando il tutto in una sorta di Gardaland..... relax questo sconosciuto......

Hotel war etwas schwer zu finden, liegt mitten in der Trulligegend.Freundlicher Empfang und nettes Personal, das Frühstück ist ausreichend, aber leider nicht von besonderer Qualität. Unsere Klimaanlage funktionierte nicht und es würde uns sofort ein anderes Zimmer angeboten. Der Pool ist schön und gepflegt, es gibt sogar eine Poolbar. Das Abendessen im Hotelrestaurant in einem echten Trulli war sehr gut und zu empfehlen.

Hidden gem and great value
This masseria has beautiful grounds, with plants and green everywhere. The swimming pool area is beautiful and spacious. The pool is large and ideal for kids, as half of it is less than 1metre deep. Plenty of chairs in the sun or shaded area. You can order food by the pool and the menu is very reasonably priced. My daughter had a very good burger for €6 (I think). The restaurant is quite good and very well served with large portions, this was the case for the meat and the fritura fruto di mari mista. The breakfast is plenty with cold cut meats, excellent bread, several cakes, cooked egg, fruits, yoghurt, cappuccino and much more. The staff at the breakfast and dinner are very kind and helpful. The only negative is that the check-in is cold and formal, which is unlike to many places we’ve stayed at. The room is basic but large with a king bed. My 6 year-old daughter slept with us and there was no extra charge, which was great. The WiFi in the room didn’t work well, but it worked well in the swimming pool. I would definitely come back!

Vacanza nella valle dell'Itria.
Ottima struttura nel cuore della valle dell'itria. L'unica pecca è il check-in dalle 16,00. Mi sembra esagerato. In realtà poi è avvenuto alle 17,00 per colpa della struttura. Conviene pagare attraverso Hotels.com. Avendo prenotato per un gruppo di persone mi è stato addebitato una differenza di circa € 20,00.

Rural simplicity with class and elegance
Beautiful hotel set on the edge of national park. Simple and elegant; relaxing ambiance. Staff friendly and helpful. Food excellent quality both by the pool and at dinner. (Note - we were there midweek and, as this is a great wedding / party venue, suspect it might be rather more lively at weekends. That's said, we couldn't hear the (big) birthday party that took place on Friday evening when we got back to our rooms!) The pool and pool area were just exquisite

Peaceful hotel in countryside
Nice hotel, needs little bit updating in some parts (sofas in reseption). Food and servise in Masserias restaurant was excellent, pool area (big pool) and gardens were beautiful. Breakfast was in a beatiful restaurant and included wide assortemt, althougt old bread in both mornings was a big minus. Our room was basic, wifi worked only in the bathroom and air conditioning was not effective enough. Anyhow the visit in this hotel was nice and the area too. We could visit again.

Warm, elegant, accessible hotel
We came for one night and stayed for 4. The staff was warm, friendly, and helpful. The grounds are beautiful in the middle of olive groves and oak forests. The pool was beautiful. The hotel is made up of beautifully restored truli houses. The room was comfortable, clean and beautifully decorated. The hotel had a very good restaurant and a very nice breakfast. Wish we could have stayed longer.

We knew this property was out of town but it looked interesting and had great reviews. The rooms are clean and nice but the air conditioning is poor and turned down at night making it very warm in the room. One of the wicker chairs had a broken seat which was covered with a cushion. The window shutter broke but all could be fixed. Our biggest and really only complaint is the restaurant. As it is the only place for dinner unless you want to drive, not a good idea, if you want a glass of wine. The food was not very good. We had dinner 2 nights and neither night was memorable, Even the bread was stale. It is too bad because we would not recommend the hotel for that reason.

Stayed here for one night - expected it to be very luxurious... The gardens and pool were lovely, and the restaurant incorporates the old sassi - beautiful! My room was large and quite comfortable, unfortunately it was extremely noisy - with people coming and going from the communal doors, talking loudly and children running and screaming up and down the hallways. The location is out of town, so not the place for you if you are wanting to be in walking distance to town. Reception didn't give a lot of information about the hotel or things to do in the local area - a map of the hotel property would have been great.

Early season stay.
We only stayed one night. It was early in the season and they were finishing off odd jobs, the downstairs recreation area was more like storage area. The rest of the hotel was iin excellent condition. Our room was quite large and comfortable. The staff were all very helpful and pleasant. The hotel is well outside town. The bar is small but the prices are reasonable. Breakfast was OK, but nothing special. Wifi was OK. Plenty of parking.

Perfect when you have a car
Immensely helpful and friendly staff from check -in to chamber maid to wait staff. The resort is lovely, quiet in October, immaculately clean and the food is very good (all 3 meals). I highly recommend this as your base if you plan to explore Puglia.

Piacevolissimo soggiorno
La Masseria Chiancone è situata in mezzo alle verdi e sconfinate campagne di Martina Franca, un posto delizioso dove quiete e tranquillità regnano sovrani. La struttura è formata da una bellissima costruzione principale dove si trovano la reception, la hall ed il ristorante, quest’ultimo composto da diverse sale a forma di trullo veramente notevoli, e da altri corpi per le stanze. Queste sono ampie e confortevoli, anche se un po’ freddine nell’ arredamento, e vi regna una tranquillità ed un silenzio che inducono ad un profondo relax. Molto bella e godibile la piscina, estremamente gentile il personale, ottimo e vario il buffet di colazione, dove si trovano anche prodotti ‘della casa’, prezzi adeguati al livello della vacanza. Unico neo la qualità della cucina del ristorante, piuttosto mediocre. Per gli amanti del passeggio c’è anche un bosco che porta ai recinti degli animali. In pratica un soggiorno veramente al top, consigliatissimo!

Away from it all
The staff at the Masseria were friendly and efficient and the overall quality of the hotel is excellent. The location is convenient for visiting the Valle d'Itria region, and although there are a number of communication masts near the hotel (as well as the military training area), these do not intrude in anyway while one is in the grounds of the masseria.
