'Beautiful, colonial hotel in the heart of Matanzas. We were welcomed with the non-alcoholic version of their own cocktail. Very tasty! Not all rooms have large windows so we opted for the upgrade. However, these rooms face the busy square in front of the hotel. If you are a light sleeper, you might want to take ear plugs with you for this site of the hotel. 'The hotel had no fault. The room and facilities were very nice, clean, comfortable, staff was friendly. Delicious breakfast and dinner in the hotel restaurant. On a negative side, I asked the staff if they could book me a taxi and they did. It turned out to be a car which did not look like a registered taxi (just somebody's car), and overpriced. '
