'Replace furniture and beds'

'I called the hotel months in advance and multiple times to inquire about early check in, because I was traveling for a bachelorette and we needed to surprise the bride with a decorated room. I was told to call back the morning of our reservation and then was told it was not promised. Upon arrival, we were not able to check in early and killed time until normal check in and were not even able to check in at 3:00pm for their normal check in, waiting until 5:00 after pushing several times insisting...

'They could not find my reservation because of the apostrophe in my name, they did not have a room for me, 35 minutes of standing in lobby while staff went behind closed doors to “figure it out”, they “upgraded” me to a room with no coffee pot, a fed full size refrigerator and a closet right next to bed with some kind of very loud generator in it'

'Housekeeping staff had an issues with “feather free room”. Bed had to be changed after checking in due to fowl feather pillows (I have a pretty severe allergy). Staff again brought feathers with new linens, but the front desk staff was extremely responsive and took care of the situation immediately. Front desk was excellent…every shift. Our final day: power outage!! (Several blocks lost power, including the nearby hospital). Guests were being entitled and arguing, but mgmt and front desk staff...

'Parking was ok. TV was broken and reading light was broken> Requested maintenance for those two items three days in a row. Answer was always it will be fixed tomorrow. Never happened. We found the maintenance man in the hallway and he came and replaced the tv at 8:30 our last night. Bathroom needs more counter space and bathroom needs towel racks to hang towels to dry.'

'It could be nice but it is in sad need of updating. We had a suite on the 14th floor for 4 nights. Only 1 of 2 elevators worked. Everything about the space screamed cheap. It was furnished with low end Ikea-like furniture. The kitchen was furnished with a coffee maker and a frig. No microwave. No paper towels. 'Outstanding hotel from which to explore the immense beauty of Charleston. Staff were all so fantastic from helping us check in early, to restaurant recommendations to facilitating our bag storage while we checked out and went to tour College of Charleston (reason for our trip). Rooms were very comfortable - spacious, nice linens, very clean. Hotel design is beautiful. Highly recommend. '
