Welcome to Round Lake Retreat on beautiful North "Round" Manistique Lake!
Note: Peak summer stays are Friday-Friday (2025: June 27-AUG 22nd)
- 1700 acre all sports/ spring fed lake
- 2000 Sq Ft (ranch) Cottage (3 bedroom/ 2 full bathroom)
- Open Floor Plan: Over 900 sq. feet of the cabin is open to the water/ wall of windows for spectacular views of the lake!
- 7 total beds
- 4 x11ft island that seats 10 people comfortably. The Great Room has comfortable chairs and couches to seat 9 adults.
- Fully stocked Kitchen to allow ease of meal preparation
- Starlink high-speed WIFI internet (run all of your connected devices/ VPN with ease) 60-200+MBPS
- Large Samsung Smart TV for Connectivity / Streaming
- Dedicated workspace in master suite
- Bath towels and bed linens are provided
- Large Washer and dryer available for guest use
- Large Propane Grill / Gas provided for customer use
- Owner is local to address any concerns (if they arise) during your stay.


The home has a large home dehumidifier and a whole home fan to keep the living spaces cool and comfortable in the summer months.
Jump in the crystal clear (spring fed) lake, or enjoy the many beautiful attractions of the UP. This property is located in the heart of all the popular destinations in the Eastern UP. (under 1 hour drive)
- Fire pit and campfire wood are provided
- 2 kayaks (12 and 14 ft) and oars available for guests
- Private dock
- Private Beach (Just a few steps from the house / exceptional ease of lake access)

Note: All sleeping arrangements utilize actual beds. (no futons or pull out couches considered in headcount)

Winter: Ride directly to the snowmobile trials:
- 10 min to McMillan corner (Trail #498)
- 12 min to Trail #43 towards Seney
Plenty of space to park trucks and trailers, and a car port to store your snowmobiles at night. This property is located on a private road. Snowplowing is included in the rental price. Ample space to hang snowmobile gear/ helmets.

Beautiful location. The kids loved swimming, taking the kayaks out and exploring the lake shores for wildlife. Made a great day trip to Mackinac Island and a visit to Tahkuamena Falls. Chris was a great host.

Chris, the owner of this house goes above and beyond to make sure everything goes perfectly. The house is very well kept, great location, and he makes sure you have everything you need to have a good stay. So grateful for Round Lake Retreat! He helped us out in a pinch and the property is amazing. It was a snowmobilers dream. My kids loved the atmosphere and were so comfortable there. Looking forwards to more winter trips to this location!

This home is EXACTLY as described and the property owner is available with any questions you may have, at any time. The property is situated just right to get to the most popular attractions in the eastern UP! We took in Whitefish Point, Grand Marias, Paradise, Upper & Lower Tahquamenon Falls... and still had time to just relax and enjoy the amazing, beautiful home and lake! We will definitely be back!

What an awesome place to stay! The house has a large commons area with plenty of sleeping space. We loved the seclusion and quietness while enjoying camp fires in the evening. Chris is an excellent host and was very responsive and available.

The moment we pulled up, we knew we found our perfect place. The home is very well maintained, smelled great, very clean and stunning views. Chris was so amazing. Any questions we had about the home or the area, he was very quick to respond - extremely kind and helpful. We were looking for a quick getaway for a few nights before it started to get too cold. This property was perfect and provided all of the comforts of home along with a beautiful lake. This area is near many of the UP attractions so there is plenty to do or you can just hang out at the house. It was very well cared for and as described in the listing and the host was available and helpful during our stay. Would definitely return to this house.

Property is very clean and well stocked. Easy communication with host. Beds are comfy and its very relaxing! The only thing that would have been awesome was if the front room windows had screens. Its a beautiful view though!

We loved the open floor plan, it was great for families to eat and hang out. Loved the LargeTable/Bar for meals. The Kitchen is well-appointed and stocked with necessities for cooking at home.
The home has a great “UP Cabin Vibe”. Absolutely loved the wall of windows facing the lake. The home is nestled on a quiet area of lake.
Christmas lights in the tree are a big help when returning from evening boat ride. Star Link Wi-Fi was fast and reliable. Nice lush lawn and sandy beach area was great for resting in the sun. Nice Propane Grill for grilling. Water is delicious from tap and brought me back to childhood memories, it was the taste of home. Separate Showers and baths are nice. Glad to have towels and linens provided!!!! I would definitely stay again.

Clean and comfortable home on the lake! It was peaceful and seemed remote but was about an hour away from many popular UP destinations. My family especially loved Picture Rocks and all the nearby lighthouses. After sightseeing, kayaks on the lake and s’mores around the fire pit were perfect. Chris is a great host and you won’t regret booking his retreat.

What a fantastic place to stay ! Chris was always available via text or phone promptly answering our questions before and during our stay. Our group has been coming to the UP to snowmobile for over 30 years and this was by far the nicest place we've ever stayed. Beautiful & well kept, the kitchen, Island & living room overlooking the lake and the 2 spacious full baths were perfect for a large group. I highly recommend staying here. I can only imagine a summer stay must be even better. Thanks Chris
