Geweldige plek om rond te hangen aan het meer. 90 voet van Private Frontage gescreend in tuinhuisje. Prive-dock direct tegenover de duinen.

Het opmerkelijke zandduinengebied grenst aan Lake Michigan en Silver Lake en bestaat uit bijna 2.000 hectare glooiende zandheuvels van 1,5 km breed en 3 km lang. Nog steeds groeiend en bewegend, wordt het beschouwd als een van de grootste afzettingen van levende duinen aan de oevers van Lake Michigan. Het grootste deel van deze regio maakt deel uit van het Silver Lake State Park en is open voor het publiek, van april tot oktober.

Verdeeld in drie delen, is het noordelijke gebied gereserveerd voor off-road voertuigen waar u uw voertuig en uw rijvaardigheid op het zand kunt testen. Duinvoertuigen zijn beschikbaar. De middelste regio is voor wandelaars en heeft toegang tot zowel Lake Michigan als Silver Lake. Het zuidelijke einde is verhuurd aan Mac Woods Dune Rides. Dit is een gemakkelijke manier voor mensen van alle leeftijden om van het duinenclose-up te genieten.

We enjoy this property and the great set up, inside and out, for our family! It’s well maintained and close enough to town and the dunes without being in the noise of it all. It’s not a big deal at all, but we had a difficult time accessing anything on the TV. Wireless was fine, but no apps were installed. Normally we don’t watch TV on vacay, but the Olympics were on. A little direction sheet that includes how yo access network channels and perhaps some installed apps might help. This was small potatoes though and certainly not something that would hold us back from reserving again.

This is the best rental right on Silver Lake! Fun to watch the Mac Woods Dune buggies right across the lake. Great dock for enjoying the lake. Wonderful to have breakfast out on the deck. Lots of large windows and sliders for an unobstructed view. Very large place with plenty of room to spread out.

This was our 3rd stay at this property and the owner has been making steady improvements. We love this place as it’s right on the water, 4 bedrooms and a huge living room/kitchen/ dining area for all to enjoy. Nice dock and spot to connect the boat. Plenty of parking spaces and room for my boat trailer. Perfect location if you want to boat and enjoy the area.

Place was nice, no major issues. Check in was easy. Great spot on the lake. Very sandy bottom . Small front yard, but not a lot of places have a large yard. Nice open concept. The deck needs some upkeep but it seems like it’s being worked on. It was nice for a 3 day weekend.

This rental was perfect for friends who were in town for our wedding. The deck flows straight to a dock, the views are beautiful and the house is big and comfy.

We had a horrible experience with this property! When we arrived, there was a key in the door, walked in and there was a pair of men's shorts and underwear on the floor. No one was in the home. We contacted the owner, he said it was his dock guy installing a bouy in the lake that morning. There was also a horrible odor when we walked in which we believe was mold. It permeated throughout the house. Also, we found the house to be dirty. We spent two days cleaning. One of toilets was filthy. There wasn't a screen on the main sliding door and the screen in the bedroom was ripped. All in all, this was a costly rental and we were extremely upset and disappointed with the entire home during our stay. I would advise never to rent this home!!!

It was a great location and the view was fabulous. There were 6 adults and we all enjoyed the place! The beds are comfortable (4 bedroom, all queens) and the 2 full bathrooms were good except they could use a bit more light. The owners are upgrading the place and it has come a long way! The only real negative is that the sliding door is really heavy and there were quite a few gnats right outside the door but that’s Michigan living on the water. The property manager was easy to work with and very responsive when needed. We would stay here again without question.

Check-in was a breeze, property was very clean and the view was great, unfortunately the internet was out and my phones Hotspot was limited. Was hoping the dock was up to chill at the bench, but it was still very early in the season, so it wasn't up yet. All in all, it was a pleasant stay and we loved the view! I'm not going to lie, I was a little worried about the rental property after reading a few reviews but decided the price of the stay was worth the gamble. First off, this stay exceeded my expectations entirely. The house is so cute on the outside and then you get inside and WOW. The view alone was worth the money. The house is much larger, much lighter and the pictures do not do it justice. We had 8 total adults staying, we were celebrating my husband and my 10th wedding anniversary, and every single one of the adults on the trip were just amazed by the space, location, view, and the house as a whole. If you are on the fence about renting this location: don't be! It's beautiful. I'm not exactly sure where the previous renters stayed (the ones leaving negative reviews) but, it couldn't possibly be this location because this place was perfect. In addition, the owner was extremely timely in response to the questions that I had about checking out; they were extremely helpful and pleasant to deal with. We didn't know much about the area and off season (October) so there wasn't much to do locally but, that wasn't a huge deal because we all planned to travel to the larger surrounding cities (Grand Rapids, Grand Haven, etc.); But I can only imagine what the view is like in the Summer. We are hopeful to being able to rent this beautiful property again this upcoming 2022 summer so that we can experience it during the On Season. Thanks for allowing us to stay at your property! We are so happy we did!

The location is awesome but as others have said the house is in need of repair. There was a lot of missing trim, a broken tile shelf in a shower, wood rot in the shower, a sliding glass door that barely opens and another that does not open at all, front deck that has loose rotting boards, what looks like a missing smoke detector, and more.. it needs work but all in all the location made up for it. I took pictures of all of the above issues but we enjoyed our stay enough that we just let it all go. Hopefully it is fixed for the next renters. It was quiet and great spot. We would definitely recommend the area.

This house is very spacious and updated on the inside. The view is amazing and you are right on the water. Very clean on the inside. Would recommend and hopefully we will be able to rent again.

Great house and location. Overall we were pleased. Spacious, clean, well-stocked kitchen. Cottage needs some TLC, the 2 sliding doors leading to the deck were troublesome. One didn't open at all, the other was very difficult to open/close; this could be a possible liability and was a nuisance and could be an issue if a renter lacked the strength to open and close it. We felt the positives of this property greatly outweighed any difficulties we had. We would love to stay again.

This is my 2nd stay at this property because the owner said he was planning on fixing the problems we encountered the first time. It was worse this year. The location and view are beautiful. The house is a trap falling in on itself. Black mold in one bedroom, loose boards all over front deck and stairs that are held together with rusty nails. The dock requires balance to walk because it’s lopsided. You need super human strength to open and close the only sliding door that opens to the deck. The owner will claim that you left trash and moved furniture if you complain. Looks like he did this with another occupant. His neighbor told us that he has not had the place inspected. I’m calling the health department. Stay at your own risk.

No central air conditioning! A/C only in kitchen and larger bedroom. Bedrooms get uncomfortably hot when doors are closed. Anyone with a respiratory condition should stay clear. Small fans provided, but what good are they really if the windows do not open!? We kept the doors closed, garbage taken out often, and all food stored in the refrigerator..............fruitflies / gnats were still ridiculous.
