Relaxing Trip
Stayed for 5 days during Christmas at this location, very quiet and peaceful with serene outdoors. Can walk on the beach or explore dunes. The house is well maintained and fully stocked, including things for toddlers . Will return someday.

Life is a beach !!!!
Check out the front yard, nothing but beach,...one can get use to this,....quick I might add. Top notch accommodations, close to the dunes, beach and water, what more do I need to say. Except we will be back for more.

Scenic Views, Lovely Home
Property is beautiful! Home was clean and nicely furnished. Plenty of outdoor activities such as floats, sand toys, kayaks, bonfire ring, etc. Only real downside is if the surrounding properties are rented out it is busy, with no privacy and parking is very tight (like climbing through the back of the Tahoe to get in the drivers seat tight). We brought 3 larger vehicles and a boat which we cleared with the owner, but the individuals of the other properties expressed annoyance about the boat, which we all decided we definitely would not bring again. Communication with owner was excellent, he was very responsive, helpful, and kind.

Amazing Lake House
The home is amazing. With lakefront access, and close proximity to dune and water sports, this was the perfect house. The owner was extremely helpful and attentive to all our needs. The home is warm and inviting and so easy to “chill” by the lake, play bags in the sand, hang out by the lake, or take a dip off the new dock. Highly recommended by our family, perfectly located next to the dunes with phenomenal neighbors, it is the very best.

Perfect lake view!
Had a great family vacation here. The house is well equipped and most importantly very clean. We cooked in several nights since we had an 11 month old. The pots and pans etc were in excellent condition. The view of the lake can not be beat and can be enjoyed from the living area and kitchen as well as from the large deck. Adirondack chairs (not cheap plastic ones) were comfortable and perfect for enjoying the fire pit. Kayaks were great for enjoying the lake. There were a couple houses that were directly beside and behind us. Had they been filled with people it would have felt a little too close for our taste. There is a 150 foot sand dune a few houses from this property. Overall this is a great place for a lakeside getaway.

The Waterfront
The location was excellent, stupendous, fanominal, nothing like the lake front, open the front door,...water, water, water. Plenty of gear for the water, all kinds of items. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, another bonus was the dunes access, right around the corner. A new standard has been set very high, and I have rented a lot of properties at Siler Lake. I didn't want to leave, the wife had to drag me out.

We had a wonderful time at Silver Lake in our VRBO. The cottage is very nice and well equipped for family fun. It is extremely comfortable . They have thought of everything needed to make the time there very pleasant. Thank you.

Amazing!
We’ve been to Silver Lake many times and finally booked this house. It was everything we had hoped for and more! The house was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Plenty of pillows, fans in bedrooms, fluffy towels, kitchen well equipped, great beach chairs, yard games etc etc. We enjoyed grilling and sitting on the patio eating dinner with the beautiful view. Plenty of room to toss the ball around or play cornhole in the sand. Teens loved sunbathing on the deck and jumping in the water. We had a question while we were there and Matt was able to get back to us right away. We hope to be back again!

Duneside Paradise!
This cottage and its location were absolutely perfect for our 3-generation family get away. I have vacationed at Silver Lake since I was a child in the 1960’s, then our children fell in love with it in the 1980’s, now our grandchildren have experienced the wonder of it since 2015. This cottage is by far THE BEST of all the ones I have stayed in. It’s right next to the dunes with a small cove for swimming and kayaking just in front of cottage, there’s a large sandy expanse between deck and water. The cottage was spacious, clean and well designed. Matt was great to do business with, policies were clearly communicated, essentials were all provided. 5 stars!

Perfect Vacation Home
This place is nothing short of amazing! The house was well equipped with everything we needed! The location is prime for small children and enjoying the beach. We loved that we could walk right over to the dunes as well. We also didn’t mind taking a little walk to town as it was only a mile. We hope to vacation here again in the future!

Relaxing vacation
This vacation was one of our most relaxing ones. We were able to have great access to the Dunes, lake and large beach at our back patio. Beds were comfortable and plenty of pillows for the whole family. Child friendly! This house has everything a family needs. Plenty of games for the whole family. The only issue checking in was the neighbor renting beside us. She was rude and demanding that we couldn't park three cars next to each other. No fault of the owners. Parking is clearly marked in the manual on the counter. Silver scoops ice cream and foods is the top spot to go!! Price for rental was much higher than I have ever experienced but I might just do it again.

Amazing house with fantastic location!
My husband and I stayed here with our 2 small children. The house itself is beautiful and perfect for a vacation house. The location is even more fantastic There are only a few cottages between this house and the amazing sand dunes. Everyday we walked out the back deck and hiked over to the beautiful sand dunes with our kids. The water was beautiful and warm enough for us to swim in June. The water was shallow enough for the kids to have a great swimming area. The beach area is shared with other cottages, which we thought may be an issue because there were a lot of renters in the other cottages, but it worked out just fine and everyone was friendly. Our kids loved the giant sand beach between the house and the lake. When we weren't swimming or hiking, they were playing in the sand. The kayaks at this house were a great addition. We used them a lot and took our kids to another area of the lake to explore more dunes. We also took full advantage of the beautiful deck and grill out back. We ate dinner outside most nights. There are also a few fun things to do if you need a break from the beach. Craig's cruisers was a short drive away. Lewis Adventure Farm (a little farther) was also a great morning excursion with our kids. Matt was really nice, super responsive and very helpful whenever we had questions. We have stayed at a lot of places in Michigan. We LOVED this house and location. We have so many great memories from this trip and can't wait to come back again. It is really a special place.

Located in the perfect spot off the beaten path of downtown "Silver Lake" activity but literally only a minutes drive to all the excitement. Cottage lived up to everything we had hoped when booking it online! The cottage owners were very accessible and accommodating as needed. Very happy we found this place.

We had a wonderful time during our stay. The home was great and really well stocked. The quality of pots and pans as well as dishes were was well above most rental units. We did not realize we would have a shared beach but in the end it was fine as the guests in the other homes were nice and friendly. Was great to have central air as well. The lake was great for boating and swimming but not so much for fishing. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for beach time. The patio set and grill were also very nice. We enjoyed kayaking as well. We had a fabulous time and were sad to leave

This was one of the best vacation houses we have ever rented! The house was immaculate and even with all the issues with the virus this summer, I was immediately comfortable and it felt like home. The house is well stocked with everything your family will need. We literally just needed to pack our clothes, beach towels and food and go. In our opinion, it's the best location on the lake. It has a wonderful beach, easy walk to the dunes and nice neighbors. We couldn't have asked for a better vacation and have already booked for next year! Thank you for the great accomodations!

Great place right next to the dunes!
We had a wonderful stay in this house! It's very clean and comfortable. The location can't be beat - literally right next door to the dunes and Silver Lake State Park. There's a huge sandy beach right out the door, and Silver Lake is perfect for swimming. We had 4 adults, two 13-year-olds, and two 11-year-olds staying here, and it never felt too small. We are hoping to be back next year!
