Great Time!
The cabin was great! It was very clean, well kept. All the people in Medicine Park were incredibly freindly and outgoing. We had a blast, including our dog, the most dog freindly place we've ever been!

We love the flute player
We came last year in the spring for the first time and stayed here. Charming , well decorated , very peaceful and everything you need and it is very comfortable. The bed is super comfy , and the windchimes that play are beautiful in tone and sound. Great location also , close to so much ! We will keep returning for encores from the flute player ! Phenomenal communication with the hosts also ! 5 out of 5 !

Nice quiet place for visits to Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge
This property was quiet with ample parking and a wonderful bed. It's basically a one-room house with a bathroom and a huge bathtub. The kitchen was well-supplied with coffee, bottled water and seasonings. It was fine for two but would be crowded for 3 or more adults. The second bed is a smaller convertible, which would be best for smaller kids. There is a "loft" for a fifth very short person with no headroom and a steep ladder. The screened-in porch was nice and was a good place to remove boots and leave slippers. I would definitely stay here again. The host was very accessible for questions.

Hi Stanley, thank you for staying with us. Wanted to let you know we are finishing up renovations on our new property right across from the Flute Player Cabin. It has a walk in shower, 2 queen beds & 3 twin beds in our private bunk room, all brand new memory foam mattresses. We also have a huge screened in porch with a table for 6, 2 rocking chairs, coffee bar & swing for 2, also a 55” tv…All on the porch alone. It’s the Lone Oak Cottage. Coming soon to VRBO.

Amazing
This place is awesome. Everything you could need is there minus groceries. We stayed here kind of last minute and we're so glad did. Very clean,quiet and comfortable. A very nice pet friendly place that you would never know a pet had been there. This one is definitely on the list of future stays.

Great time
We came for our anniversary trip to stay at the Flute Player and the place was perfect for us. Just a short walk to downtown and we especially enjoyed the screened in porch in the evenings. We were able to listen to the music from downtown while we sat on the porch. The cabin had everything we needed. Plenty of blankets, towels, and amenities. Though we used the microwave, coffee pot and beer mugs from the freezer, at most, in the kitchen, we still think it supplied what we would direly need. We enjoyed getting to try out the restaurants downtown rather than cook at the cabin. Speaking of, we highly recommend eating at the Old Plantation Restaurant and stopping at the Cobblestone Creamery for some coconut ice cream. BK was easily reachable, quick to respond and very friendly in messaging. We got to meet Joe personally upon leaving and he let us tour their new cabin that’s currently being remodeled - the Lone Oak cottage (if I’m remembering correctly), and it is a VERY nice place you’ll want to reserve if it’s available! It’s one the 6 cottages that are sitting on the same lot as the Flute Player. All in all, we plan to return. Thanks Joe and BK for hosting this great place for a trip of adventure in Medicine Park!

perfect weekend
Location is perfect just 2 min walk to swim/fishing area. The flute player was clean and cozy. Loved the screend in frontporch. Host is very accommodating, highspeed internet. Super comfy bed. Petfriendly. only downside climbing stairs to get to the cottage.

Worth Returning To
Sadly, on the night of our arrival Medicine Park Public Works turned off the water to our cottage in order to fix a nearby leak. Due to this, we were unable to stay through no fault of the owners. Before we realized the city would be unable to fix the water issues, we went inside the cottage and it was perfect. Clean, cute, and just as described. Location is great! The self check-in process was easy. The owners were easy to reach, responded IMMEDIATELY, apologized (even though this was out of their control), didn't charge us, offered to make it up to us down the road... I would love to go back and spend time in this cute cottage!

Cute cabin in great location
This was perfect for my short hiking trip. Comfortable and clean with everything you need in the heart of Médecine Park, just outside the Wichita Mountain animal refuge with its many trails.

We stay in medicine park often and this was one of the best if not the best cabins we’ve stayed at. BK Delbert were great hosts and very friendly and accommodating! We’re looking forward to staying there again!

Girl's Getaway
Me & my bestie had a great short stay here. We've stayed in many cabins in Medicine Park but I loved the location of this one. It had everything we needed. The screened in porch was definitely a fave!

Lovely getaway
Stayed in the cabin overnight so we could have extended time in the Wichita mountains. Loved the peaceful cabin. The kitchen was just the right size and everything seemed well cared for. My teenage daughter loved the loft sleeping space. We enjoyed the added bonus of walking around in Medicine Park along the river and on to the bakery for breakfast. We will be back!

First Time in Medicine Park
My husband and I came for 3 days/2 nights to explore Medicine Park and the Wichita Mountain Refuge The cabin exceeded our expectations in cleanliness, utilization of space, and just all the little special touches! The screened in porch was wonderful, and the grill provided was very nice! Short walk to Medicine Park stores & restaurants. Short drive to the wildlife refuge. Communication with the owner was excellent. We highly recommend this property!

Everything went well with the following exceptions. A blender that didn’t work. Two hand electric mixers with out any paddles or blade wasn’t really like the procedure of cleaning dishes and silverware. We did clean them.

my favorite cabin
This is our second stay at the Flute Player. I absolutely love this cabin. The cabin has been sparkling clean each time we have stayed. The bed is comfortable, every night was a good nights sleep. My husband and I look forward to our next stay here, we wont go anywhere else!

Just minutes from Wichita Mountains NWR!
We loved our stay at the Flute Player!! We were exploring and hiking the Wichita Mountains National Wildlife Refuge, which was only 5 minutes away. Super convenient!! When we were at the house, we spent most of our time in the comfy screened porch. The bed was so comfortable, the kitchen well equipped for meal prep and the owners were so nice and gave us great recommendations. One thing that was not a big issue for us, but that I guess I didn’t realize from the photos, was that this unit was up a few steps back from the place where we were able to park. We would definitely stay there again!!

Another magical weekend!
Our family came for our third annual Memorial Day vacation to the flute player at medicine park! The root ball was a blast, local food and shopping was just right and the flute player was a cozy little spot for us to land in between all the fun! We do appreciate that this charming cottage has everything we need to be comfortable, relax and enjoy Medicine Park, Lawton and the wildlife refuge! The wildflowers were spectacular this year, and we saw large herds of Buffalo and longhorn. Every time we come to the flute player we know we are in for a treat!

Great little getaway!
This quaint little cabin was just as described. It is cute and spotless. Everything you need is there. We ate almost all of our dinners on the front porch. It’s screened in and has a fan and TV. Right across from the walking bridge into town. Pretty much perfect!

Fantastic place!
The property was spotless, all furniture, appliances, fixtures worked correctly. Well appointed. All we needed was our clothes. Very easy access to the walk across bridge for easy access to East Lake Drive and all the fun.

our Flute Player stay
Our stay was great in the little cottage. Checking in was easy too. It was cozy and comfortable for the family and our pups. We especially enjoyed sitting in the screened porch watching classic movies and sipping on our beverages. We did have to use a grill from the neighbor cottage because there wasn’t one available at the time. Also, we made biscuits one morning and there wasn’t a baking sheet pan but we did use the glass baking dish available. DK was great to communicate with and answered all my questions. We had a great time and will return!

The Flute player was an amazing stay !
We had a terrific stay at the flute player in medicine park , it was decorated well , the bed was extremely comfortable and we had all the amenities we needed already there for us ! The bath tub was excellent also :) Communication with the owner was prompt and courteous and answered any questions we had. We will definetly be back sometime it was a perfect experience !

Much needed weekend getaway !!
This trip was awesome! The little cabin was perfect for us as a couple, but could have fit all of our kids as well! The perfect little kitchen made it super easy to cook dinner on Saturday (everything closes super early and we wanted a late dinner!) and the coffee they left for us was GREAT! It was surrounded by beautiful historical shops and buildings and it’s right on the River that runs through Medicine Park. We appreciated the screened in porch with the TV, we were able to sit out there and watch the games while enjoying the weather and still have some privacy. We would recommend this place to anyone, and we will be back!

Very nice cabin!
I stayed here for my once-in-a-lifetime Wichita mountain elk tag. I thoroughly enjoyed this cabin. My wife and two young sons stayed before the hunt and my dad and nephew once the hunt started. Everyone loved the cabin! It's in a great location in medicine park. You're within walking distance of the restaurants in town, but it's also very easy to leave quickly and go to the park. The hosts were very easy to get ahold of and responded very quickly. I needed to add a night and they were very accommodating and nice to deal with.
