Our family was fortunate enough to rent Villa Olivia in Meina for most of August. The villa was extraordinary, perched on a hill overlooking Lago Maggiore. We only have wonderful things to say about the home, from the impeccable accommodations, warm pool (heated), sauna and lots of room to enjoy the days and evenings as a family. The owner, Sara, was quick to respond to every need and went out of her way to make suggestions for sightseeing, trips to the mountains and finding the best beaches. This beautiful villa also is gated with a large yard, perfect for small kids. From the villa, it's a short ride to other lakes in the area, such as Lake Como, Lake Orta and of course, Lago Maggiore. The photos of the home, while beautiful, do not express how truly gorgeous this villa really is. If you are dreaming of the best vacation in an Italian villa, close to everything (including Milan airport), this is the place. It doesn't get any better than Villa Olivia.
