The room was nice. The screened in porch overlooking the backyard and river was great, as it allowed us to spend all our time outside, if not sitting down by the river. Shower hot with great pressure. Sitting down by the river was a great experience. The pool was clean and a perfect temp for swimming. No one could have prepared us for the sound of the train, which is unfortunate for all who live near the intersection where it blows its horns going by. We got used it after a couple of days and ceased to really notice it. Had some trouble with unruly guests which Mark addressed immediately by phone as he was away. The person who was supposed to watch the house and clean it while he was away that week was amiss in taking care of things, like emptying the trash in the kitchen or getting the eggs from the chickens. The laundry was accessible and helpful for us not to have to pack as much. Parking was great and off road. The area was walkable and near the manatee observation area. On the river, we saw dolphins, manatee, an alligator and other wildlife; the highlights of our stay.
