The Little Chateau

Quiet, peaceful Melbourne neighborhood off the beaten path

**this unit is attached to the main house. It has a private entrance and outdoor area but is connected to the main house.

Just 5 minutes away from the heart of the Eau Gallie Arts district-pubs, restaurants, boutiques, museums and galleries- and 10 minutes away from Atlantic surf, our 300 square ft studio is tucked away in a quiet neighborhood, just perfect for your next adventure. Come enjoy the Spanish moss and old southern charm in this centrally located getaway.

The space
GARDEN
Elizabeth and Gio are avid permaculturists/gardeners/plant lovers. A variety of edibles will be growing in the patio area, depending on the time of year. We encourage you to have a taste or to inquire about any of the plants you see. Also ask about a full garden tour of the backyard (work in progress!)

If you have a smaller animal or are only here for a short stay message us as we may offer a discounted pet fee.

Please note this space does not have laundry access.

Netflix, Hulu and Amazon Prime Video are provided and will give you access to thousands of free movies and shows. You are also welcome to log in to any streaming services that you already subscribe to (HBO, Disney+, and so on).

BBQ GRILL
You are welcome to use our outdoor propane grill, but please note that housekeeping does not maintain this. Instead, we ask each guest to please clean the grill after each use. Basic grilling tools are provided.

Private parking for two cars and plenty of off street parking as well. Eau Gallie is a short bike ride away and the beaches are a 15 minute bike away over the causeway. Two coffee shops are within walking distance as well as vintage shops, a plant shop and a local record store.

Cute, good use of space, functional.AC unit was very loud so we turned it off and slept with open windows. Neighborhood is quiet and good for walking; day and night. Car parked on driveway.Bed is firm and pillows are hard foam.

Just like a hotel room

The outside area was VERY nice, the private entrance and parking were great. A bigger fridge and sink in the bathroom would be good. The bed seemed pretty worn out and old. The water pressure in the shower is very week. The AC worked well but gave off a funky odor. I did not realize that this rental did not have a kitchen Or laundry like most vbro's, def my fault for not realizing thay when i booked. The addition of a toaster or air fryer would go a long way.

I like the location of the property and where you park in relation to the room. The gate area offers privacy and a place to decompress. The air conditioner worked perfectly and kept the place in the low 70s. It worked perfect for my son and I. My son slept on a cot that I bought. I would stay again.

The Little Chateau was AMAZING!!!

This private space in a quiet neighborhood. No traffic, close to the beach and lots of food options. You come in through the gate (which you can pull right up to), and you enter a stunning pergola. It’s covered in jasmine and hanging lights. The bed and pillows were super cozy, soft but supported my bad back. The large private patio, bathroom, and bedroom with kitchenette were absolutely perfect. I was visiting for a family funeral, and the peace, quiet, and privacy, it was exactly what I needed. Wonderful hosts! Super kind and friendly. Would definitely stay again!

Very comfortable place

We stayed in this unit for one night. We celebrated our 15th anniversary with dinner and a show in Melbourne. The location of the place is close to pretty much everything Melbourne has to offer. You do need a car. The communication with the hosts were always very professional. The price was reasonable. I highly recommend this place.

Lovely Little Chateau

We had a lovely time in the greater Melbourne area and the Little Chateau was a simple and convenient home base for us. The patio was the highlight, we loved the little lizards sunbathing in the afternoons and the beautiful plants. Kitchenette was great for simple, on-the-go meals. Very clean. Elizabeth was very communicative. Would recommend!
