Mellieħa Bay, also known as Għadira Bay, is one of Malta’s largest and most popular sandy beaches. The shallow water makes it especially suitable for families with children, while water sports, beach facilities, cafés and restaurants are available around the bay.

The centre of Mellieħa offers a selection of restaurants, local cafés, supermarkets, convenience shops and traditional bakeries. Guests can also visit the impressive Parish Church of Mellieħa and enjoy views from the village’s elevated streets.

The location is ideal for exploring northern Malta. From Mellieħa, guests can easily reach the beaches of Golden Bay and Għajn Tuffieħa, the Red Tower, Popeye Village, Armier Bay and the Ċirkewwa ferry terminal for day trips to Gozo and Comino.

Please note that Mellieħa is built on a hillside, so some roads and walking routes may include slopes.

The apartment features two well-presented bedrooms. The main bedroom includes a comfortable double bed, while the second bedroom is arranged with two single beds, making the property particularly suitable for families, couples travelling together or small groups. Fresh bed linen and towels are prepared before arrival.

There are two modern bathrooms, including a walk-in shower, giving guests added comfort and privacy during their stay. A washing machine and ironing facilities are also available, which can be especially convenient for longer visits.

Public buses connect Mellieħa with Malta International Airport, Valletta, St Paul’s Bay, Buġibba, Sliema, St Julian’s, Ċirkewwa and other popular destinations.

The Airport Direct TD1 service currently connects Malta International Airport with Mellieħa and continues towards Ċirkewwa. The scheduled journey to the Mellieħa area is approximately one hour, although travelling time can vary depending on traffic and the location of the nearest stop. Guests should check the Malta Public Transport journey planner for the latest timetable before travelling.

For a more comfortable arrival, Homely can also arrange a private airport taxi for an additional charge. The driver can meet you at the airport and take you directly to the apartment. Advance booking is recommended, particularly for late arrivals, families or guests travelling with several suitcases.

A rental car is useful for exploring quieter beaches and rural areas, but it is not essential, as the north of Malta is well connected by public transport.
