5 Stars!
We walked into this cabin and the first words out of my mouth were “WOW!” The scenery cannot be beat, our hosts were incredibly helpful and kind, and the cabin quickly felt like a second home. Anyone who stays here will never want to leave the tranquility and peace that being here will bring you.

Wonderful Stay
Our family had an amazing vacation at this property. The owners went above and beyond and everything was great. I would highly recommend staying at this location/rental if you are looking for chill, relaxation, and a fun beach area and memories to be made with your family!

Dawn was SUPER helpful and accommodating. The View from those windows in the cabin is UNBEATABLE. The beds were more comfortable than mine at home. Lots of antiques and historical decor really made it feel like stepping back in time, and yet every modern convenience is there.The lake has some good hot spots for fishing and many boat ramps for launching. Recomend driving your boat to the other side of the lake and docking for a meal and drinks at the Historical Rock Tavern. Also, if you are fishing get your bait in Sauk Center at Fletchers bait shop, Mr. Fletcher is very knowledgeable. Over all it was a great place with hosts who really care. We WILL be back!

The cabin does have a dock and a fishing cleaning table with water hose. It does have a fire stick for TV etc. Dawn is the host with Rocky her husband and they were very helpful in all things. The fire pit was supplied with all the wood you wanted.

Perfect get away
The house was well furnished and decorated so quaintly. Even though there's a breezeway that attaches the rental to the owner's home, it was very private; basically just like any next door neighbor. The hosts were very hospitable and available, but not intrusive at all. The lakeside setting was peaceful and the big windows have a stunning view of sunsets!

Vintage Cabin
It was a nice quiet relaxing stay. The cabin was quaint and rustic. Very vintage inside. Felt like I was back in the 1950’s. Bed was comfortable. The view of the lake was spectacular! Kitchen was nice and had a nice dining table. Bathroom was small but it did the job. My only complaint was the Air conditioning wasn’t working properly so it did get warm inside. And the owners dogs would come visit periodically and loved to crap on the grass in front of the cabin in the mornings. Had to becareful where you walked. The check in process was easy and quick. Overall we had a nice stay with family. Of course it rained both days lol

We are so glad you had a nice stay and we were able to accommodate 8 people instead of 4 at the last minute! I do apologize for our 14 yr old lab for going into the yard but thankfully I watch him pretty close and could follow him with a shovel. I wish there would have been a mention about the AC prior to your departure as we would have popped the window unit in for you and you could have been so much more comfortable 😉

Hidden little gem
My wife and I invited another couple for a weekend to get away and celebrate his birthday. The place was in between where we each live and very easy to find from the Twin Cities. The cabin is attached to the owner’s home yet felt very private. The place was well stocked with supplies so no real need to bring anything other than food. The place was warm, cozy and had a great view of the lake. Really enjoyed just sitting and watching the wind blow snow. Went out snowshoeing in the afternoon and enjoyed the walk and viewing all the homes around the lake. Our last night, we ran into a small issue with the home and our host did a terrific job in dealing with the issue and accommodating us. Overall, an excellent experience and would come back again.

Making this our annual vacation rental!
Property was amazing! Beautiful lake views and giant windows. Grandkids came out to enjoy the beach area and kayaks. Loved it! Dawn thought of everything. Cabin is stocked for all that we needed. Games, beach towels, sunscreen and all types of appliances and cookware including a charcoal grill. Didn’t need to bring anything. Will definitely be returning every year!

Fantastic Family Beach Getaway
We love this property and its owners! Stayed here with our sons (4 & 8) for the first time for 3 nights. It was everything we could have hoped for and more. Awesome beach for the kiddos is first among the long list of things we so enjoyed about our stay. All of the other reviews that speak highly of Dawn and Rocky are totally true! We will be back!

Some R&R for too tired parents.
Some R&R for too tired parents. My mother lives in Melrose Minnesota and wanted to see the two grandkids. So my wife and I dropped our two boys off at my mothers and stayed at this wonderful cabin. Although it rained the whole time we were there it was such a pleasant stay. The cabin is wonderfully decorated, clean, and the views out the window of the lake are spectacular. We plan on coming back.

We Loved Our Stay
We had a wonderful, relaxing time at the cabin. It is immaculately kept and so charming. When we arrived Dawn had set out beautiful vases of flowers and a bottle of wine. She had also provided helpful information about the cabin, local restaurants - including a gift card to a favorite spot of theirs - and things to do in the area. The view of the lake from the front windows is beautiful. A few days of our stay were unusually windy and it was so enjoyable to watch the waves and ice going out from the coziness and warmth of the comfy couches and blankets. We would highly recommend both the cabin and our hosts, and look forward to returning during summer for beach and boating fun.

A memorable 21st birthday
We experienced no issues during our stay at the cabin, all amenities besides food was provided and the cabin felt very warm and welcoming. It is a great place to bring the family for a short getaway or in my case, the perfect place to celebrate a twenty first birthday

Great location. Uniquely located right on the water on Big Birch Lake. Very cozy feel to the cabin.
Excellent rental. Only negative was that I reduced my # of rental days by one day well before the full refund cutoff, but did not get a full day’s refund.

Cozy, authentic lake cabin with a VIEW!
The property was as listed. It is an original older lake cabin and is decorated as such, except, the mattresses are comfortable! The lake view from inside the cabin is almost identical to being out on the lawn! I think we would enjoy sitting and looking out the windows towards the lake, at any time of the year. Dawn was gracious and happily responded to a special need that we had for an older guest who was spending time with us at the cabin.

Our stay was great - the cabin was very clean and well kept. The owners were very accommodating and let us use their dock, lily pad and floaties (the owner’s house is attached to the cabin by a breezeway). We would definitely stay here again!

Gorgeous view of a gorgeous lake. The online pictures are 100% accurate. Great for kayaking, boating, swimming (and fishing, we were told, but we don't fish). Very sweet little house, with all the comforts needed and lovely vintage touches. Dawn was an excellent hostess, friendly, helpful, and responsive, but not intrusive. Great tour of the lake in her pontoon!

Great week
Two families with a 2, 11, and 12 year old kids rented the cabin for the week. The shallow lake and small sand beach was great for the kids. The cabin is a nice blend of old and new. The owners were friendly and helpful. We would definitely rent the property again!

Weekend stay over July 4
Dawn and Rocky were excellent hosts for our weekend getaway. The property is connected via a breezeway but is totally private and quiet. The view from the picture windows for both the sunrise and sunsets. During our stay the cabin needs a repair, they were quick to resolve on July 4. Highly recommend this VRBO.

Great place on Big Birch Lake
This place was great. The location was excellent with a beachfront and two docks. They had a good range of small appliances and utensils. Owners were very friendly and answered any questions we had. They also let us use their camping chairs and kayak which was wonderful. We have already booked another week this year. Can’t wait to go back!
