Holt Country Park (1 mile) meanders through woodland and open heath, while the town of Holt (2 miles) charms with its Georgian architecture, independent boutiques, galleries and tempting cafes. The dramatic scenery of the North Norfolk Coast (6 miles) unfolds further afield, with sandy beaches, salt marshes and sweeping skies at seaside hot spots like Sheringham and Cley-next-the-Sea (8 miles). The peaceful waterways of the Norfolk Broads (20 miles) are waiting to be discovered by boat or on foot.


Echoing the character of traditional shepherds’ huts, this snug retreat combines rustic charm with modern touches. Light spills through the windows, and the insulated walls keep the interior cosy when temperatures dip. Inside, you’ll find a double bed, compact kitchenette, wood burner, and bar-style seating creating a welcoming environment, complemented by an en-suite shower and soft, atmospheric lighting. Logs, fire starters and matches are supplied for the wood burner, and a bag of charcoal is provided for the BBQ, making it easy to linger by the fire as evening falls.


Outside, the pace slows even further. Deck chairs, hammocks and a fire pit frame the lakeside setting, providing a tranquil spot to watch the world go by. On-site parking for one vehicle is included. This is a true off-grid escape – without electricity for devices, Wi-Fi, and with limited mobile signal – perfect for fully disconnecting and soaking up the peace of this idyllic retreat.
