'Highly recommend to stay at Cromwell’s Tap House. It’s located in the heart of Shrewsbury, at walking distance of pretty much everything in town. Only 7 minutes from the train station. The rooms were located on the first floor above the pub. We heard no noise whatsoever, and only in the morning we heard some cars go by, but it was of no nuisance to us. 'The room was spotless, spacious and well equipped. I loved the DAB radio on the bed side. Nice touch. I prefer to listen to music/ podcasts/ audio books when staying away for work. I was welcomed by the lady on reception as though I was a friend, not a guest. Certainly, the cheeriest greeting I have ever had when checking in. The car park is a little tight but there are plenty of public car parks really close. The restaurant was nice, with a good, varied menu and breakfast was top quality'

'Super little boutique hotel, this was our second stay and we hope to stay again. The hotel is in a great position close to the award winning market and the town. Lots of interesting eating and drinking venues close by and lovely walks along the Severn River. The food at the Loopy Shrew is excellent as is the service. '

The WiFi internet in the hotel is not very good with filtering for example Amazon app dosent work and Mobile phone coverage in the area is very weak The TVs in the bedroom are very small for this day and age '
