  • Redwood Cottage is een uniek, heerlijk en romantisch uitje gelegen te midden van grote Redwood-bomen op slechts 0. 75 mijl ten oosten van ons kleine dorp. Het heeft een helder roodhouten interieur; slaapkamer met een kingsize bed en luxe beddengoed, een ladder die u naar de tweede slaapruimte brengt, een gezellige loft die perfect is voor 2 kinderen. Dit charmante huisje heeft een eigen zonneterras, een eigen bubbelbad en een complete keuken met doorzichtig hardhout aanrechtbladen en grote dakramen om warmte en licht te geven in de zit- en eetgedeelte. Het slaapgedeelte op de bovenverdieping bestaat uit een queen-sized futon en - kinderen zijn hier erg blij mee! - kan worden bereikt met een stapladder. Tot slot, het huisje beschikt over een ligbad, een gashaard, DirectTV, een stereo-installatie, Wi-Fi, een gas barbecue, handige eigen parkeerplaats en is gevuld met Organic Big River koffie en thee. Het woord gaat over dit juweeltje; het is vaak uitverkocht. Hondvriendelijk.

Wonderful three night stay with our golden retriever. We drove to town and it was very close and finding parking was not an issue. Really enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning!

This was our second stay at the Redwood Cottage. It was as perfect as I recall from our first trip! The team’s communication was great and they were very accommodating to our early arrival. This cottage is perfectly located to indulge in all the activities and beauty found in Mendocino. It is comfortable and has everything necessary to make you feel at home. We will be back.

Quiet betaway

Lovely quiet cabin. It had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Enjoyed the fireplace, spa, and large king bed. It was conveniently located close to the village and many trails for walking.

Mendocino Cottage

The cottage was exactly as it was pictured. The location was a very short drive to all of the shops and restaurants in Mendocino. The cottage was very warm and inviting and we truly enjoyed our stay.

House was great. Clean. Well stocked and had freah water for drinking. We loved the specual touches for the pups and the interior decor. The foreplace was excellent to wake up to. The only very small thing I'd add is a light in closet. Otherwise the place was perfcet. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay.

A sense of solitude amongst the trees

My wife and I loved this small, yet perfect in many ways, hideaway. The property was as described. We found it to be, quite, well equipped, and a classic cabin type home. The fenced in deck with spa, was used everyday. We have stayed in many large beautiful homes, but this little jewel will bring us back again!

perfect hideaway

This is a great little no frills place with a bonus of accepting pets. Everything we needed was there and i expect we'll come back again.

Another wonderful trip to Mendocino!

We’ve stayed at the Redwood Cottage a couple times now and have thoroughly enjoyed the quiet cabin and surrounding areas. Close to town, yet tucked away, it’s exactly what we were looking for. Listing is as described, clean, and cozy. Only thing this time around was that the hot tub was a bit dirty. Otherwise, met all our needs!

Cozy place, well-equipped. On a warm day (70’s), cottage heats up. Step in to tub/shower is high: a challenge if you have any mobility problems.

Quaint Redwood Cottage

The cottage was clean, quaint, and warm. Compact size allows for cozy accommodations for a small family of four. The loft is certainly kid friendly and the main floor bed is spacious and comfortable. Fridge was smaller than expected though as adequate as one for an RV.

All was fine with the booking, but when we were only two hours away on our drive up to the place and I realized we hadn't received the door code yet, I wrote to the host on the VRBO app. While they wrote back quickly, I was told that check in was at 4pm. Of course I knew this as it was made clear during the booking confirmation, but are they implying that I'm trying to "sneak" in earlier than 4pm? They gave me the code, but still, I wrote back explaining that we would indeed not be there before 4pm or later but wanted the code now because who knows if we'd have a cell signal by the time we got there (I had the impression it was a little remote from looking at the map). So that was the first disappointment. I don't like to chase... especially for 1193 total for TWO nights.. I should be getting white glove service. When we arrived at the cabin a little after 4pm we were so disappointed to see that this place was an absolute hovel. There were flies flying around, dead ones on the window sills, the carbon monoxide detector was dead (yep, I check all the things), the TV remove control was dead with rusty crusted batteries inside of it, but the worst thing was the overwhelming smell of mold and mildew. Neither of us could hardly stand it and in fact my husband went outside and vomited after about 10 minutes of breathing that gross air. This little getaway was for our anniversary. We didn't stay and got a full refund and luckily got into the Stanford Inn instead.

Tiny place for the price

Everything was fine, just small. Small fridge, coffee maker, couch,but Ok for 2 sisters. The loft was cute but not something 2 senior citizens could navigate. Luckily, the little couch pulled out easily and was very comfortable. My sis said the big bed sagged into the middle. We wish we could have shut off the hot tub motor and enjoyed the sounds of nature, but the tub was clean and well maintained. I 've stayed in many places while visiting Mendocino. This cute, tiny cabin was just too pricey for the size. The owner might mention that the loft, steps etc. isn't suitable for seniors, who think this has 2 beds.
