Hi Alecia, Thanks for writing a review. Our cabin overlooks Little River and the trail from the house to the river is very steep. One of our long-term goals is to landscape the entire area between the house and the river to make it more accessible. I have included pictures of the hill and stairs to get to the river, so guests understand the layout of the property. The DeSoto State Park Ranger Station is half mile from the property. There are access points to the trails, bathrooms, a shop, zip lines, and information. Some times the Rangers have classes for the public. Valerie
