I loved the screened in porch space and proximity to DeSoto falls. I was just 5 min drive to trailhead. Owner was also a good commicator. Great way to enjoy long weekend over spring break.

The cabin was a perfect getaway! Close enough to the shops and restaurants of Mentone to be convenient, far enough away to disconnect from it all. The nearby state park was great for a long nature walk.

The home was clean and as described. Loved the porch swing bed and watching movies while relaxing in the crisp fresh air. Went during the holiday season and it was decorated nicely for Christmas. Make sure to plan ahead for food- as she says, the closest grocery store is a drive, and it’ll take a bit to get there. Owner was responsive and worked well with us.

I had a wonderful time here. It's very quiet and relaxing. I had a small issue with the fireplace so I reached out the host. She responded quickly and with relavent information along with guiding me to the manuals. You can tell from the cleanliness of the place that they really care about their properties. She talked to me like I was a person and not just someone paying to stay. Thru out my stay her responses were always very quick! The screened in patio has a wonderful swing bed along with a fireplace that made the bed that much more comfortable and inviting. The hot tub was clean and very warm and relaxing. I give this place full 5 stars and I will definitely be back! Try it out, you won't be disappointed!

This cozy cottage was just what our family of four needed. The location was perfect. The porch swing was amazing, especially with the fall weather! The host was incredibly responsive and helpful with any question we may have had. Check-in was easy as well. Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting the area!

We celebrated our 20th anniversary this past weekend here and it was perfect! It was the cutest little home ever. Everything you need! We spent the majority of our time on the screened in porch! The swinging daybed was fabulous. We really enjoyed the hot tub. It was amazing to see the deer graze around us. We will definitely be back!

We had a nice stay. We could never figure out how to use the TVs, which wasn't that big of a deal, so we stuck to our tablets for entertainment. The mattress in the master bedroom needs to be replaced for people with back problems; it would be greatly appreciated. When you are up there, you will likely have zero bars for your phone, so be aware. We didn't use the grill or the fire pit, or the jacuzzi but all were ready for use should you choose to use them. Please pay attention to what the house listing has and doesn't have before you book and you will be just fine. DO bring your own bottled water and ice. We spent the majority of our time out on the bed swing on the patio, eating breakfast and lunch, reading and watching videos, and watching the deer that walked by. We will definitely miss that swing. It is in a nicely wooded area.

The property was beautiful and very clean. The screened porch was our favorite and where most of our time was spent. We saw deer daily as they passed thru. The property is not far from town or the state parks/desoto falls. Pizza from Mentone mkt was delicious as well as breakfast at Hatter cafe and dinner at the Wildflower.

This was perfect for our anniversary! The screened in porch is the best and by far our favorite. It had TV and fireplace and right outside the porch is the hot tub. We even had deer show up each evening. Location is close to all the places we wanted to visit.

Perfect Getaway!

If you are contemplating booking this property, my only advice is to book now!! It was absolutely perfect for our long weekend stay! The property was extremely clean and cozy! We had lots of rain during our trip, but it didn't matter to us because the screened in porch was perfect for lazing and watching movies. All communication with Cathleen was amazing as well - very prompt in responding to all of my questions. We will most definitely be back!

Even tho it rained and stormed all weekend long we still enjoyed the cabin. There was a small break on Saturday morning before more storms came in that we were able to get in and enjoy the hot tub. Cozy little cabin for quality family time. Found out that our 8 year old daughter was able to catch on to the Uno game pretty quick and she enjoyed playing Uno with her mom majority of the weekend while we were there. We baked some chocolate chip cookies and ate and had Reese’s ice cream birthday cake for my birthday. Hope maybe we can come back during the fall or sometime when we can maybe enjoy all of the cabin hot tub, fire pit, and fire places and the swing too. Since it was raining the swing was wet, but hope to return sometime and enjoy it all. Thanks for a wonderful family time in your cozy cabin! Sincerely The Long Fanily!

Beautiful Cabin!

Our first trip to Mentone for a family wedding. The cabin was beautiful. The only reason for not giving it a 10/10 was due to non-working gas fireplace on the screened-in porch and the hot tub was not operational, due to issues and had been drained. But the Hostess was great to work with. The cabin is equipped with everything you might need. This area is our new favorite place to come visit. Quaint shops and yummy places to eat.
