Hi Eric, we passed your comments on to the homeowner who would like to share the following: - As communication is important to us, we made multiple attempts to communicate with you, including leaving messages, but received no response. Upon speaking with our property manager, we explained the challenges of last-minute cancellations, especially the day before your scheduled stay. Despite offering an alternative booking in the summer, we emphasized the difficulty of exchanging a November reservation for a July or August stay. - We highlighted the numerous activities in the area, hoping to reflect that canceling solely for ATVing is. To address the situation, we offered a discount with a free night for future bookings of three days or more. We were open to further discussion and resolution considering the pre-paid cleaning costs for the cabin to keep your booking. We truly do all we can to make the best possible experience, and we look forward to this property hosting many satisfied guests.

Hi Sebastian, Thank you for your feedback. We take these concerns very seriously – cleanliness and safety are two of our 4 Core Property Standards! We have shared your feedback with the homeowner, who let us know that they had the water tested for safety before opening the property to guests. The local water is high in iron, which may be the discoloration you noticed on the heater, but we can confirm that it is not rust and that the water is safe to drink. They also let us know that the gap at the bottom of the door to the sauna is necessary for air to flow in and prevent suffocation. The owners are experienced and dedicated to providing their guests with a 5-star stay at their lake cabin, and do wish that you had raised these issues with them when they spoke to you while you were in-residence at the property. Happy new year Mike. I see you have made a review 4 months after your stay. I wish you could have explained to us your concerns during your stay. We purchased brand new pots and pans in the summer of 2015, and we also completed a full renovation of the cabin including flooring, kitchen, bathroom, carpet on the stairs, all new furniture, replaced all the lights, added a small deck, fire place, sauna, provided firewood, painted the cabin throughout, and provided several beds and linen for guests. As for the PS2 we provided, after hearing of the problems you had, I asked my property manager to go and test everything, and he and his family played every DVD and disc, and it worked for music, games, and DVDs. I hope that everything was plugged in correctly, we did have other guests between your stay and our manager testing everything, so it could have been a simple fix another guest corrected. We apologize if your stay was not as our listing described. We worked very hard to provide everything our guests would need for a short get-away. Thank you for the feedback, we have already taken steps to correct the concerns you mentioned.
